I literally got chills at 0:20 "That we would behave in a different way" and you showed Ragnar saving that child and Ubbe showing regret to that woman who died, YES!!! WONDERFUL! I wish Ragnar were here and could see what became of his sons, especially Ubbe. I feel he would be proud :(
Although he does not rape anyone he has killed innocents. If you go back and watch his raid in Spain he killed few civilians, but yeah he does not slaughter them like Ivar and Hvitserk.

He's not even just against killing, he also seems to be against the taking of slaves, as seen by his look of disdain as Harald and his men celebrate their victory as they take some slaves (maybe because of his relationship with his own slave, Athelstan). Rollo and Harald were the main people we see slaughtering innocents during the raid.
