Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
This is the best hearthstone content I've watched in a while. I don't keep up with the game anymore so I don't quite understand what Trump is trying to do. But it seems I'm in good company, seeing as Trump doesn't either.

Honestly this one probably could've used yet another insert at the beginning by Jens, with Trump explaining the combo one last time. (He did include it in 2 card review videos.) Then again it's pretty funny the video literally never shows you the working combo :)
For the record, the combo is a bunch of 32/1 boars with charge. Every time he was one or two mistakes from completing it

I just wanna say, this was a really fun video to watch. Too often, RUclipsrs don't post enough videos that show them losing. Sometimes an interesting loss can be a lot more fun to watch than a by-the-numbers victory. And this video was definitely interesting

I saw this at the stream, MAN was it painful. I was just like "YOU HAVE THE COMBO JUST GO GO GO" while trump was saying "wait... do I have it?"

I mean, hes getting the combo parts more than I expected... if he can just do it right the combo might be pretty good
Most of the time when you saw him get the combo parts, he was actually missing a second Vivid Nightmare/Radiant Elemental to start directly with -2 mana discount.
Then he'd find himself lacking mana to finish, cast his last Vivid Nightmare in a hurry on an elemental to get a discount, instead of his last Test Subject, kill this Test Subject and then have none left to continue the loop.
I agree it looked promising but idk how many matches were edited out where he never saw enough combo pieces. One thing that makes it resilient though is that you can also just play the previous combo priest combo too of DS, DS, IF/TT on a big minion that lived a turn.

Nothing I've seen has shown me it's a particularly good combo though.

He also always had dead cards in hand, which wouldn't have let him complete the combo.
And that's without mentioning how the topsy turvy return always got cancelled by full hand. A point Trump clearly didn't consider properly when crafting this deck.
David Mellem To see how many cut out games there are, you can look at the deck winrate (in the top right)
That may not be exact (if he edits the deck, the winrate resets) but it's at least an indication.
Looking through the video, seems he goes to 3-6, resets and goes 4-8 and then reset again to end at 6-4. If he had pulled off the combo, it would certainly be in the video, so that's 21 games total. I'm not sure how many are shown, but it seems like ~70% of them aren't, which means 30% chance to get the combo?

What's most funny about that Shaman is that the flavor text of Electra Stormsurge literally says "A COIN?...You used me for a COIN?" This is worse than Prep into Coin and Blizzard even called it before anyone else. Lmao.

Jason Wazza he did some stuff in between but yes. I left at one point because I couldn’t take it anymore. Every time he had the combo, he messed it up. Every. Single. Time. The chat was going insane. We kept telling him to switch decks but he was persistent about pulling the combo off once. I’m honestly not sure if he ever did.

Knowing how the combo works is one thing, being able to execute it flawlessly within the turn limit is another thing. Trump cannot either... yet. Extremely painful to watch, but better than pack opening.

After running through this a few times on a chalkboard, the most consistent outcome is a 32/1 charging Stonetusk Boar. You cannot have extra cards in your hand or else you will overdraw and miss your key pieces when Test Subject is Topsy'd.
I couldn't help but laugh when the shaman used Electra for the coin. In her flavourtext she actually gets pissed about doing that exact thing.

Oh man. This is one of the best videos in a while xD
Obviously he's still learning the deck... but for someone that seems as smart as Trump, these were some bafflingly bad mistakes. Especially at about 19 minutes when he messes up the combo, still well and truly had lethal (like 48 damage or something) and fails to see it (though he did also run out of time).

Has Trump actually sat down and worked out how many Divine Spirits he needs for each damage point?
2 = 4 damage
3 = 8 damage
4 = 16 damage
**5 = 32 damage** which will of course be lethal against most opponents
6 = 64
7 = 128
And you could only possibly need more against some sort of crazy control warrior build, likely running DMH.
It should be noted that, board space permitting, Vivid Nightmare can take the space of any Divine Spirit as it also doubles the damage, just by cloning the boar.
6 is probably going to be pushing it unless you've managed to dump the rest of your hand before your combo turn. The whole difficulty of this combo really is getting enough Divine Spirits while also not getting so many cards off the deathrattle that you lose the Topsy Turvy.
Honestly, it's probably worth having the second in your hand when you pull the trigger (or an Inner Fire) just so you can push the combo as far as it will go and still be able to finish your opponent. Also singleton Mass Dispel would be quite practical for ensuring you'll be able to hit face.
think he actually only needs 3 or 4 because he can vivid nightmare the boars to get 3x 8/1 boar or 2x 16/1 depending on the damage he needs. edit: realized you said it already so yeah
Yup - didn't reply to this one because it had no traffic but had been mentioning it elsewhere here, but yeah, Vivid Nightmares can alter the maths a bit and make things much easier, especially with taunt/s in the way.

Mentioned that in the post just above yours. >.> If it's only one Vivid Nightmare it gives exactly the same bonus as a Divine Spirit (ie. Vivid Nightmare on a 32/1 boar is the same as attacking with a 64/1 boar), but Vivid Nightmares don't scale as well as Divine Spirit after the first. That said, the fact that they split up damage can be super useful if your opponent has taunts.
