Tenkyuu is a very special song for Suisei and her fans, it's a song released as her final farewell and love letter during the lowest point in her career when she was on the verge of quitting entirely because of constant rejections, neglect, and financial burdens. But it was also the start of her meteoric rise, by being the song she performed at Azki's first concert as part of Inonaka Music, which finally gave her the recognition she deserved. And it also cemented her place in Hololive, by being the first original song in Holo to reach 1 million views. Truly an unforgettable journey, I'm proud to be a hoshiyomi.
Tenkyuu is a very important song in Suisei's journey and without it we may didn't get our wonderful comet as she is now. This is her second original song and released before she even joined Hololive. A fantastic song. I recommend Comet, her first original song and 覚醒/Kakusei her first song in INNK Music, additionally 灼熱にて純情(wii-wii-woo)/Shakunetsu Nite Junjou (wii-wii-woo) a more recent song. Kobo's Overdose cover is amazing, love her tone in this, her lows are just lovely. Absolutely crushed it. I also want to point to another great Overdose cover, the one by Polka.
Yeah, I agree about blue hair girl in hololive, they are so talented and yet kinda crazy in their own way like gura, pekora, kobo, and suisei (I don't know about lamy, thou). For recommendation, I guess you can react the newest original from Kobo "Sebatas video call". It was release at the same hours when Subaru release her new song which you've been reacted recently. A lot of people are talking about Suisei's throat surgery, which did happen but I personally did not notice much difference between her voice immediately before and immediately after said surgery (she had stopped putting on a higher voice and begin speaking in her regular voice quite some time before the surgery) so I think the difference between her vocals in Tenkyuu and her vocals now probably have more to do with different equipment and the fact that so much time has passed, her singing improved and voice evolved in that time as is natural rather than an effect of the surgery. I mean, most people probably don't sound identical if you compare their voices 4-5 years ago to now. Also, I would support the suggestions of Midnight Grand Orchestra songs, they are all bangers. Suisei had a MGO live/concert as well a few days ago.

Tenkyuu is one of the most important song for Suisei. She written it as a last goodbye song to her fans, in a moment where she was really thinking to stop being a vtuber. The song is much more "emo" and a little more darker and mellow that others for that. The follow up is a song that is basically unofficial, "Pieces", that ... uhh ... is a very mellow and blueish ballad. Luckily, Hololive picked up her in that moment, and the rest is history. And yes, she has a different voice for a bunch of reasons (she had vocal cord problems and had an operation after, plus different mixers and microphone).

About Suisei's vocals being different, a part of it is because she's improving constantly and iirc her singing voice now is closer to her natural comfortable range. I am not sure about the reason so feel free to fill me in on extra information, but I remember her streaming a while ago with a higher voice that's not as natural and she had to have throat surgery in 2022, which she came back better than ever!
Hello!!! Just wanted to throw out there that over the last month, Altare and Axel from holoTEMPUS had their 3d debuts!! You'd probably be most drawn to their showcase collab concert with guests (about an hour long), but they also each have their individual showcases that are an hour long each! Altare's in particular was so unique, my dude did taekwondo and played the cello- which the finger tracking was INCREDIBLE for, by the way. And of course Axel's showcase was great the dude is a CRACKED singer and he OWNED that stage. Their 3d collab with guests was beautiful; the opening number made me tear up, and of course, as is holostars3d tradition, there was an obstacle course. Can't go wrong with an obstacle course. I'm gonna elaborate on the opening song making me tear up, actually. If you don't want. Concert spoilers (lol) stop reading now. Axel and Altare opened their 3d collab by singing Top of the World. That was their debut song alongside Magni and Vesper. A cute song about not being alone and cherishing your friends, going on an adventure. Of course, as we all know, Magni and Vesper graduated last summer, so the original group TEMPUS (Tempus HQ) went from 4 members to 2. So as the song started at the 3d collab, we expected a duet cover. But instead, we heard prerecorded lines play from the Tempus VG boys (Bettel, Flayon, Hakka, and Shinri) to fill in the missing spots. This song about togetherness and the importance of cherishing your friendships being sung by more friends supporting them was so. AAAAAAAAAAA. It made me so happy I almost started sobbing when it was live. Those boys have been through a lot, but they're still going!!!! Our idols

Since everybody already talked about the context and significance of Tenkyuu in Suisei's career, I just want to say that you might have heard the name of the composer Kitani Tatsuya. He's responsible for some of Bleach's and Jujutsu Kaisen's openings (and of course, Suisei's Template).
There’s a reason she’s the #1 Indonesian Vtuber. She’s one of the few people that can simultaneously match Gura in gremlin vibes, Bae in choreo and Calli in vocals. She’s a monster in a pint sized package. It’s really easy to underestimate her because she acts like a little kid, but her talent is legit.
How old even is she? I saw at a stream that she's 7 years old..that type of voice is incredible for a 7 year old..( btw I'm new to hololive and I know nothing)
if you liked the vocals in this one, I would recommend checking out suisei and kanata's cover of angelfish. their vocals on that one were criminal, and not a lot of people saw it as it's not officially posted by either of them
Suisei sounds a little different because, if I remember correctly, she had surgery which changed her voice. Also, I'm still waiting for the Tsukiakari cover by Kanata and Suisei

About Suisei's vocals being different, a part of it is because she's improving constantly and iirc her singing voice now is closer to her natural comfortable range. I am not sure about the reason so feel free to fill me in on extra information, but I remember her streaming a while ago with a higher voice that's not as natural and she had to have throat surgery in 2022, which she came back better than ever!

Hello!!! Just wanted to throw out there that over the last month, Altare and Axel from holoTEMPUS had their 3d debuts!! You'd probably be most drawn to their showcase collab concert with guests (about an hour long), but they also each have their individual showcases that are an hour long each! Altare's in particular was so unique, my dude did taekwondo and played the cello- which the finger tracking was INCREDIBLE for, by the way. And of course Axel's showcase was great the dude is a CRACKED singer and he OWNED that stage. Their 3d collab with guests was beautiful; the opening number made me tear up, and of course, as is holostars3d tradition, there was an obstacle course. Can't go wrong with an obstacle course.
I'm gonna elaborate on the opening song making me tear up, actually. If you don't want. Concert spoilers (lol) stop reading now.
Axel and Altare opened their 3d collab by singing Top of the World. That was their debut song alongside Magni and Vesper. A cute song about not being alone and cherishing your friends, going on an adventure. Of course, as we all know, Magni and Vesper graduated last summer, so the original group TEMPUS (Tempus HQ) went from 4 members to 2. So as the song started at the 3d collab, we expected a duet cover. But instead, we heard prerecorded lines play from the Tempus VG boys (Bettel, Flayon, Hakka, and Shinri) to fill in the missing spots. This song about togetherness and the importance of cherishing your friendships being sung by more friends supporting them was so. AAAAAAAAAAA. It made me so happy I almost started sobbing when it was live. Those boys have been through a lot, but they're still going!!!! Our idols

There’s a reason she’s the #1 Indonesian Vtuber. She’s one of the few people that can simultaneously match Gura in gremlin vibes, Bae in choreo and Calli in vocals. She’s a monster in a pint sized package. It’s really easy to underestimate her because she acts like a little kid, but her talent is legit.
How old even is she? I saw at a stream that she's 7 years old..that type of voice is incredible for a 7 year old..( btw I'm new to hololive and I know nothing)

if you liked the vocals in this one, I would recommend checking out suisei and kanata's cover of angelfish. their vocals on that one were criminal, and not a lot of people saw it as it's not officially posted by either of them
