@@Crankdat22 Lot's of good food at the festival, I suggest seek out what you're craving, it'll make it that much better. Whether that's asian food, pizza, hamburger, or a lobster roll 😅. The drinks are okay, I recommend getting a classic cocktail you enjoy. Some of the specialty cocktails are heavy on syrup or other flavors. Can't go wrong with a classic whiskey coke, tequila soda, etc. It does get pretty cold at night, I bring one outer layer and a beanie for the night time. How long it takes to drive to the event depends on when you leave for the festival. I recommend leaving 1-2 hours before you want to arrive to the festival. The later you go in the night, the longer it will take.

As the festival popular, that means more folks, and there was so many people (including folks in my group) that left at the last set 4/5am. And didn't get back to the hotel till almost 9AM cause of traffic and everyone staying there. Getting to the venue usually traffic but not as long as leaving. So only stay if you really want to see that DJ and expect the long way back. Also stay hydrated, EDC LV starts at night because of the sun, but that doesnt mean its not hot. It will get colder throughout the night tho, so have packable jacket or pash. I also suggest a face mask of some kind, those sand storms isnt the friendliest. Good shoes, that you dont mind getting trashed from the mud/sand/dirt. If you are going different stages, being in the back prob best as it is easy to leave. Try to eat before going in to save money. Always test your things, and dont pick up things on the ground. Ground control tested over 1000 items found that was laced with Fet.

Good to see you back. Returning myself for my 8th EDC this year. "attend opening ceremony" Only if the shuttles drop you off at the right entrance. Multiple bus loads of people (including myself) got screwed out of as we were dropped off at the regular shuttle drop-off and we weren't allowed in. I'd say a trip up the bleachers is a must do at any point fireworks or not. Just to get the perspective of the festival and everything going on knowing there are 140k other people out there living their best weekend as well. I am worried that this year with all the shuttles starting at 6:30, and them taking 1hr to get to the speedway that shuttle riders are going to miss most of the opening sets if they still start at 7 like previously :(. I talked to a friend of mine who works on the Dreamstate team at Insomniac and he said he would look into it.
Yo, what’s up @berto2k! Thats part of the reason we usually rideshare to the speedway for opening ceremony. And it’s nice they moved up the shuttle start time to 6:30 pm, but I agree, it should be even earlier! Like 6:00 pm!

This will be my first year going. I've been wanting to go for years and was supposed to go with my best friend before she got sick and had to cancel. So as a solo goer, this was a nice look into what to expect so I appreciate the hard work on the video.

I'm 44 and this will be my 8th EDC. Done Ultra 2xm, and going back to TomorrowLand for the 2nd time this year. You still got plenty of life in ya to make it to EDC.

I’m not gonna lie I’m a little nervous for EDC it’s my first time going & I haven’t got my flight or hotel yet I just came back from Ultra so MMW took my budget like Calvin took theirs but this event looks so massive kinda scares me I’ve been to Vegas many times but have yet to do this and I know the ride to EDC is going to be long but my Hype is real I’m so glad I’m into Dance music I used to think it was an actual Fair/Carnival not a music festival lmaoo ughh I’m gonna make it happen and after the fest I’ll be back to this exact video and comment on my experience maybe even post my experience 🫣🤭 but I appreciate this gives me some type of understanding and looking forward to making Kandy to trade I have never done that before

There’s still time. Maybe you can do a value hotel like Linq, Planet Hollywood, Luxor, or off strip hotels without casinos. There are some third party shuttles available (onenonlyedm.com).

This is going to be my first edc and made a last minute decision to go and I'm thinking about driving there for the GA parking since the shuttle service is all sold out. When do you recommend leaving to get to the venue? I'm assuming most of the people I want to see will be playing later at night, so like on Friday, Armin and David Guetta is a must for me and maybe MK and Steve Aoki. So I don't want to go there early and at the same time I don't want to get stuck in heavy traffic and miss out on artists i want to see. Any thoughts and suggestions? Also, your dog is really cute :)
I recommend getting their early and hanging around, that way you’re not stuck in traffic and you don’t risk missing your planned sets. Friday, leave around 3-4pm. Sat/sun, leave around 5-6pm. Approx 1-2 hours before the fest.

I’m 43 and have been listening to EDM and all the sub genres since the 90s; but I’ve never attended any of these big festivals. I did get to see Paul Oakenfold last year in VA Beach, but it was a smaller venue, with bar and drinks, and a mostly 30+ audience (pretty awesome). I went to rolling loud with my son a few years ago and that was chaotic and not fun. My concern is I’ll get to this festival and be surrounded by Gen Z trippin on drugs types or Influencers (which would not be fun for me).🤔

Traffic will depend on when you’re heading to LV. If leaving on Friday, earlier the better. We’re planning to arrive in LV by 12:00 pm on Fri. Traffic on the way back to OC on Monday after the festival will be busy.

I would consider her to be one of my inspirations. She helped me prepare for my events and I enjoyed watching her go to different festivals too.
Is it easier to drive
I always recommend edc shuttles or a different third party shuttle. Otherwise, I would recommend traveling by car versus rideshare.
Rides take way to long without V I P takes away from seeing alot of sets!!!
😅 While I encourage people to enjoy the rides, I personally have only been on the Ferris Wheel maybe 2-3 times ☺️.
Wear compression shorts instead of undies
