The ferocity 2ith which the first wave towers, curling so hard and with such force it makes it hard to believe that anyone can possibly survive the impact of a fall on these waves here at Nazare. It's impossible to truly grasp the abilities, skills, and lungs these Surfers must possess, to be out there when the ocean becomes this angry! I'd say 100% that unless someone has Surfed themselves, it's hard to even fathom the dangers encountered surfing these monsters.
Victory At Sea! 🤙 Great footage & editing. Thanks! The Von Froth was surfing 🏄♂️ the "Cave" spot there at Nazare. It's super gnarly. I'm sure you've seen it. Would be great to watch some of your footage of the cave.
How wonderful to see!!! I towed “...friends...” into many fantastic waves and barrels at Camp Pendleton river mouth!!!! And sorry ass fools!!! NEVER towed me into even 1 memorable wave!! Too bad for me!!! Aquatrax is gone -i live in shitty texas-- old injured and outa shape!!! Pooo hooo hooo!! THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEOS!!! -at least I get to see these P. S. 20 foot face waves WERE BIG ENOUGH FOR ME!!!
Like Mavericks, Nazare is just a giant slush-burger, where the main aim is to just make the wave. Unless you're Kai Lenny, and you can squeeze in a manoeuvre or two.
I was brought up literally in the ocean, mom put me in the ocean as a baby, and I obviously became a fish, there's something about the ocean, not just because I started at less than a year old, it draws me in psychologically, I can't explain it, but it feels like I belong there, a primal instinct, maybe because in the begining life started there, sounds cryptic, but I really believe my attachment goes beyond my early love of just playing in the surf.
Footage is outstanding!!!! a few more tighter shots would be nice. Audio should be reconfigured. It 100% doesn't go and is annoyingly redundant. Upon 1st note it sounds as if the viewer is going to see kind of mystery unfold. Music just not compelling enough for those taking on a "life challenging" risk.
The masses of spectators there now it's finally become famous (mentioned in old Surfer article as big wave spot way back in the '70s from admittedly vague memory) reminds me of the troop of big monkeys that used to come to the point at Aragum Bay to watch us surf in the '70s. Mind you the monkeys didn't have mobile phones! But presumably the buzz they got was similar, albeit on a far smaller scale than what goes down there.
It seems the waves at Nazare are big on a somewhat regular basis. Serious question: are they ever "small" or are they mostly on the XXL end of the scale? (Granted, most of the times we see "big" waves where I am, is due to hurricanes, in SE NC, and they're not even that big.) What's considered a "normal" size wave there?
It´s not always "big" waves...the overwhelming waves only happen in special days during October-February period, when the ocean energy shows up...the rest of the year, you have a strong triky sea with probably oversized waves, if compared with others south and north of Nazare. But local people always say that we must respect Praia do Norte sea, even in summer time, because due to the undersea canyon, you have always instable strong wavs and tides happening randomly
Nice vid. Thanks. If there is a way to include just the sounds of nature and omit the music for future vids, I for one feel the videos would be greatly improved. I know this isn't easy.
in the first 55 second of the video are you see those birds flying desperate and. Come back again i don't know i think I'm crazy but I play the video again and it's
Duh at Pipe! 🤣 If u had Pipe out your backyard watching from your $4M beachfront home would you travel. This is another level wave though just so different than a pipe.
Being an amateur surfer I like those vids, but somehow it always seems to me it has nothing much to do with surfing. I think it’s more like a combination of wake- and snowboarding.
Finaly somebody captured videos from the shore not only from rhe cliff thank you Tim Bonython
Awesome video. Go Nazare Portus Cale.
I was out there watching in person on Wednesday - absolutely amazing!
The soundtrack for the first 6 minutes was so scary I could hardly handle the drama!
I'm glad I am here to experience this. Great edit.
Incredible...
Also you know it's a terrifying wave when even the thought of driving a jet ski out there fills you with fear...
Awesome vid. Music is aweful howerver.
Literally looking for the tune here 😅
Yeah really, a funeral surge for slo mo Nazare, uh , nooooo
Did I just see Lucas Fink skimboarding Nazare?!?!
Who agreed the sound track was right.. Great footage
Subhanna allah what a wave!! Marvelous
epic soundtrack!
One of the best place for surfing , Amazing waves 😱😱😱

great footage, tkx.
Fearsome waves for some fearless surfers. That's gotta be a major adrenaline rush...
Great Video, Thanks! it would be so much better though without music . Since you do want to listen to the waves breaking and the power of nature
Music was pretty sick though made for a great edit. Would be nice to have both versions though.
@@AtortAerials agree, really liked the intensity of the music with the editing
it was too windy brother! Big love from Portugal!
Wind noises Even contribute to the authenticity. If i want to listen to music, I switch on Spotify or you Tube music
At least it wasn't hip hop techno crap
Really exciting!!!
Excellent, and the music really sets the tone of this beautiful yet ominous wave.
great surfing in tricky conditions ! and wonderful footage
.....tad bit more than ..... tricky!
Best pics i've ever got from nazare and i've been there live, but not "a"live, obviously ...
So sick 🌊🙌💯
How wonderful to see!!!

P. S. 20 foot face waves WERE BIG ENOUGH FOR ME!!!
Always amazing 2 watch Nazare! Just too choppy n windy for my taste. Still insane though 😉
Great video thank you
That looks crazy out there
The JetSki operators are geniuses...at a formula one level!!
what a human effort, all is because God's glory. human enjoyment,
Those are some big fucking waves! Gosh damn I love you guys
Pretty crazy😳👍🇺🇸
I like the music!
Those guys have BALLS - it's terrifying looking at all that !!
Like Mavericks, Nazare is just a giant slush-burger, where the main aim is to just make the wave.
Unless you're Kai Lenny, and you can squeeze in a manoeuvre or two.
Mavericks is no slush burger, get real,, those waves are so hollow you can see all the way through to the left if looking at the right.
Checkout the Cave.....
Nazaré is F1 of surf!
Amazing 👍
Love that place but the big surf is utterly distorted by the crappy music noise 😡

no music please. Bring it raw like nazare :)

The spirit of Nazare's 1960's boat fishermen...!

At 2:45 - 3:05 ... and again at 5:45 WOW !!!!
Chargin' yasaaaaa
Nazare footage always seems to be so dark and foreboding.
I prefer it filmed from sea level instead of from up high.
I think see level may be hard due to the riders being in the bowl, out of site from the prior mountain of whitewash
Why don't you go film ahead of the wave?
You want to start being the first person filming Nazare from its wave?
I looked up insanity and this popped up
Fantastic film, loved this. Epic show and thanks for sharing. What is the first musical track btw?
Great footage, but! Cortez Bank smokes it on size and pure Fing size.
"Victory at Sea"
The 2021 version of the Coliseum.
chapeau
Man... I thought these guys got psyched to surf??? Morbid in that dressing room.
Nice vid. Thanks. If there is a way to include just the sounds of nature and omit the music for future vids, I for one feel the videos would be greatly improved. I know this isn't easy.
Lucas Fink skimming Nazare?!?!
you need some rock music for this
nice videos -grato pela partilha - anybody around for a live show in front of the ocean :) - always fun to connect with others wave lovers ..big up
Definitely not glassy. Getting airborne on the drop. Big brass balls.
you need rock music for this
mamacita!!! impressive
in the first 55 second of the video are you see those birds flying desperate and. Come back again i don't know i think I'm crazy but I play the video again and it's
Where you at Ben Gravy?!
Hectic
Hectic as f$%k out there. 😬
Can’t handle the music
BUT WHO WAS MATHIAS CORVINUS
Where is that bad ass Jamie O Brian Mr pipeline himself.🤔

I have more tubes at San Onofre

Yeah, snowboarding with avalanche catching your back..
les vagues sont aussi barges que la musique 🏴☠
Rename this wave the "Kraken".
Jaws is a much better surfing wave…no slight on the surfers but it is a giant mush burger
I didn't see Kai
But let me add--- this swell -and cross swells- look MISERABLY Dangerous.
If the board is attached to your feet it's not surfing, it's skiing. Surfing is what the great ancestors did, skiing is what mechanics do.
it’s skurf?
Well, that what we do. We adapt to overcome. Otherwise we would still be in stoneage... But maybe that would be a good thing, who knows ;)
great vid not so great music
:)
Tow surfing is NOT surfing.
The surf ends at 50 feet. Nazaré has more than 50 feet!
Great footage, shit music, if you could call it that!
Terrible edits and music. Just show surfing and the waves without gimmicks.
Oh man get rid of that fucking heading wrecking music... And less slo mo... Raw trimmed edits 👍
Don't want 2 c any sporting event with a red bull logo n it .
Nasty.
