I own a GR-1. It is a very, very cool machine. This is going to be around double the price-close to 2K usd.
Yeah, get the OG and save the extra grand for something else like a virus Ti-1 desktop or something. That’s what I did and don’t need the GR-MEGA. I’d rather have those two vs just having the one. Don’t get me wrong, I’m definitely interested in the MEGA, but the GR-1 is still an amazing instrument. It’s like wanting a Digitakt and all of a sudden Elektron comes out with a Super Digitakt for $1500.

@@vvcv__00 in some ways yes, but from what others have said about Octatrack, the experience is much different. I suppose the Mega is probably similar in that aspect. Then again I’d have to find out for my self to really know. I plan to one day take that challenge on. All I know is the Digitakt & GR-1 are more then I’ll ever need. They both do amazing things.
I can only imagine the horror/scifi film soundtracks to be made with this piece!

This and the Carbon8 are really the only synths that have interested me at Superbooth.
This sounds absolutely magic. Definitely getting one
The granular algorithms here are second to none, and it looks like the user interface really facilitates performance, improvisation, and experimentation. My only hesitation is that, as a studio-based user, whether it adds enough to the huge number of software granular and other sample players I can easily access on my computer. Yet I keep coming back to listen and watch demos!
On that note, what are your go to granular vsts?
@@jonirischx8925 Falcon is usually my first port of call. The IRCAM granular oscillators are very nice, if hard on the CPU. Halion and Omnisphere both sound great. As an effects plugin, I tend use Delta Sound Labs Stream. It isn't the most powerful, but I do like the clarity of the sound.

I would like to hear a toned down just synth demo of this unit if it's possible, not so syfi or glitchy. I want to see if it can mimick the library sounds of some famous synths out there. to the point were it can stop the synth search.😂. I believe this will have no problem pulling off .😎👍

@@christophremmery4520 it will have multitrack recording in your DAW via USB-C, so all four multitimbral layers can be recorded seperately
