Mr. Sunshine is magnificent. Its no surprise it have such a huge budget. Just look at their costumes, there's Korean, Japanese, and Western. There's nobles, soldiers and commoners too. Cinematography, beautiful!

Yeah the list...so i`m kinda wondering why "The Legend" made in 2007 isnt on this list??? ..its production cost was the highest there's ever been for a Kdrama at $35million but isn't even ON the list it was also a huge ratings success with 30% as well...plus why is "Iris 2" on the list when "Iris" which cost $34million isnt on the list???

Mr. Sunshine is not a surprise. The high cost shows in each episode... cinematography is 10/10, the best I’ve ever seen in Korean dramas. Acting, Plot, Characters also 10/10, absolutely the best!

After watching Mr Sunshine,,it just breaks my heart it got tear on my eye😢😢😢 I've never been cry watching dramas, but this really did its best to make me cry and give sympathy to those characters that killed in this drama,,,good job to the writer and director even the main actors,,,wish it has season 2,, waiting ...

My opinion is based on sheer acting talent, Costume design, Set concept and execution, Script writing, Cinematography, music scores,and the director’s vision and ability to engage the viewer. Each high quality film is believable. Mr. Sunshine was heartbreakingly real.
I've watched most of this dramas and loved them a lot, now i'm whatching Mr. Sunshine on netflix and i see that no one is taking about it.
Mr. Sunshine is a masterpiece. The cast, the dialogues are amazing but above all the stunning cinematography!

I have seen many historical dramas from SK and many of them if not all were amazing. But have you watched Dae Jang Geum, Jumong 1 & 2, Empress Ki, Queen Seon Deok? These are some of my favorites,specially Jewel in the Palace/Dae Jang Geum since this is the first drama that introduced me to the said genre.

Arthdal Chronicles costs 40 billion won to make. They literally just made a castle/fortress/temple just to film

Also its strange that The Legend(2007) isn't on the list either...its budget was 43billion won plus "Iris" 40billion won

Even though Mr. Sunshine is the most expensive one, it is a god damn good drama.
Mr. Sunshine is a must watch. From all kdramas, this sets a new bar in cinematography, every shots from different settings were breathtaking. The story was well written, perfect casting and acting from each role was superb. Definitely a world class masterpiece and worthy of its overall cost.
