    I have a pro 1600rgb and am wanting to customise the patterns and animations within it. I think i can do this with the sd card? I will be triggering it with dmx via a lightshark unit. Is this the correct software to use? Sorry I am little confused whether this software is for running a show or for customising your laser. Hopefully both! 😊

      You can do both, so yes, you can also use it for exporting ILDA patterns for your PRO-1600RGB unit. Here are the instructions how to do it - also remember to select ILDA version 6 on export for the PRO-1600RGB (attention, this is different for modern units with ShowNET mainboards - they need the official IlDA standard version 5):

    Thanks for this video. I often have to rotate a figure of 45 °, for example a hammer, a straight figure in one frame and the same figure rotated 45 ° in a second frame.
    How is it possible?
    thank you
    Marco

      Hi Marco,
      yeah, for sure that's possible! There are different ways of doing it, but this is the, in my opinion, best way, as it directly creates the frames rather than using automation tools which couldn't be used for ILDA export then. So this method creates actual frames that are also suitable for export:
      1. Create 1st frame
      2. Create the second frame with the same content (right-click on the "New Frame" button to create a frame with a copy of the currently selected frame).
      3. if necessary, mark the desired points in the new frame
      4. select the rotation tool (top left: the tool next to the recolouring tool, it looks like a compass... or so)
      Press and hold the left mouse button in the drawing window! (The pivot point is automatically located there).
      6. drag the line to the right while keeping the key pressed....
      7. turn the line upwards or downwards at the desired angle of rotation
      8. release mouse button.... (marked) points are rotated by the corresponding angle.
      9. If necessary, use the Morph Tool between the frames.
      Note: If you rotate e.g. by 180 degrees in one step and then morph, the result is not a rotation, but all points run through the centre of rotation... ==> in this case, make several single steps for the rotation, e.g. 45 degrees before morphing.

    Hello
    I use the Showeditor in free mode without a hardware. It is easy to understand how to create figures and run the Laser live with a cable. But can you explain in a next video how to safe the figures on a SD card. So that the Laser can run only with a SD Card. This Feature i didn‘t understand well.
    Thx

      Oh, there is a tutorial on this here: ruclips.net/video/9SBy5xuKvX0/видео.html
      And the steps are also explained here: www.showeditor.com/en/tutorials-faq/faq/195-i-want-to-export-figures-as-ilda-ild-file-and-its-doesn-t-work-what-is-the-problem.html
      It's pretty straight forward, bit you need to make sure that in options ->hardware the first hardware is not set to "none" but to a virtual device.

    Hello, I am again asking for information: I ask if it is possible in a single frame or in a scene (sequence of frames) to emit a laser point that increases in intensity/power over time, for example a point that gives 0% power increases in 3 seconds up to 100% of the power.
    Thanks so much
    Marco@DS-2000RGB

    • @LaserworldAG
      @LaserworldAG  2 года назад +1

      Yes, simply make two frames - first one with the point in black, second one with the point in white. then do "morph all" and add as many frames as you like, e.g. 500. the point will then increase in intensity. the actual duration needs to be set by the play speed, meaning how many frames are played per second. maybe you then need to add more morph frames if it shall run over a very long period

    Is there a few laser software that o can use to check if the old laser's are working that I see at work that they say arent working

    • @LaserworldAG
      @LaserworldAG  2 года назад +1

      You can use Showeditor if you have a ShowNET interface. You always need some sort of digital-analog-conversion hardware to use with software. However, if the laser has the ShowNET built in as intelligent mainboard, you can directly connect the laser with your computer with a LAN cable, and it works.
      If you have the ShowNET mainboard installed, you can also try the DMX or automatic operation mode to check if the laser is working.
      If you just got a random laser, which is not equipped with the respective mainboard, you need an external hardware interface that connects to the ILDA port at the laser.

      @@LaserworldAG so from what I'm seeing it's 3 other them 2 standard green laser and one big RGB laser that comes with a blue housing on it. The standard green ones are rectangular shape black housing and kinda grey edges the ILDA pins are mashed could I get a contact info for you so I could communicate much better

    • @LaserworldAG

      OK, so it sounds like you may have some Purelight or Pure Sapphire unit as RGB in a V-Beam housing and some old RS-400G or so as satellites (should be around 10 years old then). You may contact the service department at rma@laserworld.com to get further support. All the units you refer to should have an automatic operation mode and basic DMX, too, so you should be able to check on general functionality with that. Make sure you have the key switch turned and the interlock connector inserted (super important!!!)

    Hi, i purchase 2 interfaces and want to start making timeline show. But i have a question here because the website and forum are outdated. i receiving an error everytime i want to load an WAV file. is there any place where i can ask for a solution?

    • @LaserworldAG
      @LaserworldAG  3 года назад

      Yes, for sure! It is important that the WAV file has a constant bit rate (wav is only a container format and the data inside can have many different characteristics). So best is to try to re-encode it, either uncompressed or with a constant bitrate. Then the wave file analysis should work fine. If you don't have any tool for that, try VLC player, it can convert data and is free.

      If you want to scale your shows and maybe also sync with pyro effects and prefer drag and drop programming over recording, maybe Showcontroller is an option for you too. It uses the same hardware (same interfaces), so it just requires a license dongle to run. You may want to have a look at www.showcontroller.com and check out the Demo version.

      Many thanks for the good answers. I imported the songs into Ableton and save it again and after that it works fine!
      I want to purchase showcontroller for sure also for timecoding. But i only cannot purchase it at once. Is there no option for monthly payment? The problem is covid here without festivals.

    Is support for MacOS on the roadmap?

    • @LaserworldAG
      @LaserworldAG  3 года назад

      Not for this software. As Showeditor, like most laser show software, heavily relies on Windows libraries, this would mean a complete rework of the whole software.
      However, it is recommended to have a separate show laptop anyway, no matter which sowftare you use, so it's usually not a problem to use a Windows one for this. And it's the less expensive option too. :-)
      In general it is not recommended to run laser control software and otehr real-tim ressource intense software on the same computer, so ...
