10 years ago without knowing a lot about graphic cards, I picked up this GTX 750 Ti for my PC. With this card I played a lot of games, like NBA 2K, FIFA, F1 during university time. After my undergraduate degree, I didn't play game a lot and studied machine learning using PyTorch and TensorFlow with this GPU because of CUDA support. Learned a lot and completed my master degree in AI. This card allowed me to try some generative AI and language models. Today, this card is still functioning. GTX 750 Ti just shaped my life. 👍

Used this card until quite recently (3 or 4 months ago). And run games like BG3 (1080p FSR P, 39 FPS in Act 3), and even some DirectX12 games (with a translation API from Dx12 to Dx11) like Elden Ring (900p, 45 FPS) or Starfield (720p FSR P, 30 FPS in planets, 12 FPS in New Atlantis). Great GPU for what it was.

Pascal's based on Maxwell, and Maxwell started off on the 750 & 750 Ti before it's 2nd generation arrived with the 900 series. So, I figure that while Pascal's supported, so will Maxwell.
Helps that it's still a strong card for many older games that likes 2GB of VRAM or less, even going as far as Windows XP compatibility for full blown retro gaming.

Nividia seems to have included the GTX 750Ti to use the same driver as many of their other cards. The driver 552.12 released 4/4/2024 works for the RTX 4000 series, 3000, 2000, GTX 1600, 1000 all the way down to the 750Ti and Titan series. The 750Ti is special to them for some reason. I noticed this as I was testing several different cards that I sourced (hoarded).

I think it’s due to it being Maxwell and not Kepler. But even Nvidia must have a soft spot for this card

These were a lot more expensive a couple of years ago. I use one just to get video out of my 12400F for my PC connected to my TV. It does play some older games well enough as well. It’s much better than say a 710 or even a more expensive 1030. Should receive security updates for years to come as well since Kepler has been supported since it lost game drivers a few years ago.

Hey!, go easy on this card, I'm using it in my Linux rig, and it does a fair job doing it, it can still crank out some games, while admitting its far from a main-stream gaming GPU (LOL) as using , one has to be quite selective in your graphic settings , as well as being limited in games that can be considered playable, but considering its age and lack of modern graphic power , its still usable for limited budget game usage and normal web use. 🤗, nicely done video, thanks.

I used this GPU with an E3 1241v3 with 16gb of Hyper X 1600 DDR3 and it ran great with fallout 4 and fallout 76. Had to have shadow on low, but med settings on everything else. Ran much higher fps on cs2 than you were getting. I was 150 fps with the strange Chinese Russian motherboard from Aliexpress. I have it running on a m.2 gen 4 which I am sure is running gen 3 speeds. I have in the last year switched to a used PNY 1060 6gb which I picked up for $80 U.S. and now run everything at high except shadows at medium and have a very smooth playable experience. I do have a much more current (powerful) system I compare my old hacked together system to and it always makes me think I wasted my money buying current generation hardware in my last build this year. BTW, old system I limp along still has the fastest boot time I have ever seen. I see only 4 seconds pass before I am at home screen and 10-15 seconds to load steam and be playing a game such as Fallout 76.

I've heard that frame timings are much more relevant as to how smooth an experience you get than with frame rate alone. If the frame rate's jumping up and down all the time, yet the average is good, you're going to have a much rougher experience than if the frame rate remains consistent.
