Hey Jason! Yes, I was the one who said that on stream. All-rounders tend to do quite well in ranked because you can be useful no matter where you are or what role you need to fill. Anything that has decent/good dueling potential, ability to contribute in a meaningful way in team fights, and be able to pick kills like a roamer and/or match/get decaps consistently would count as an all-rounder. Some examples would be power druid, fresh air catalyst, nade scrapper, and power vindicator. Hope that helps! Thanks for the support :)
Actually, support capabilities such as protective boons, AoE healing, condition clears, stun breaks, and rez power are all valuable assets to have in your arsenal. For example, the specs I provided all have access to at least one form of support on this list. While all-rounders may not excel in a specific category compared to a specialized spec, the ability to adapt and maximize the value of the tools they have available to them is what sets them apart. By utilizing all of their abilities effectively, an all-rounder can shine in any situation. I hope that provides some clarity :)

Unless you play sth with unblockables, you are not putting a dent into this. But okay, okay, let's be the devil's advocate. Let's take just some of these skills. Great tier list! I’d put scrapper a little higher, biased cause I’ve been playing a lot, but I get rid of my nades and explosives trait line if I see a tempest. I trade this for blast gyro which gives you another stun break and tools- giving you stealth reveal and great condi cleanse. Although I don’t have the nade pressure- I can still do massive 12k-15k bursts. If I see a thief trying to get away I just chase them with my spin gyro and supper speed and the gyro alone is enough to drop any thief not running carrion or marauder. The size of the gyro aoe’s def should be nerfed 😅 Amazing content as always!
Any tier list needs to be taken with a grain of salt. First of all most people don't play every single class equally. And then there will be better classes at certain skill brackets. Just because a class is easy doesn't mean it's S tier, and a hard class is D tier. There are easy classes that are D tier, and really hard classes that most people think are bad, but are actually highly competitive. With that said I have played every class to at least the bottom end of platinum and generally end in the top 100 somewhere. Maybe you're in top 10 and the meta is different, or you could be lower who knows. But a couple things stand out to me in my own opinion. Willbender is not below average, so it should be C tier at the very least. Herald and reaper are very strong and at the very least B tier. And scrapper being on the same tier as daredevil and holosmith can't be right. There may be a lot of noobcrushers running around with meme 1 shot builds on scrappers, but it's not going to win you any tournament. It's at least C or probably D. Core warrior is pretty strong right now with taking strength/def/disc because of the stability and quickness uptime so it's probably C. And chrono is probably S or A tier, it just takes an exceptionally good player to reach those levels. Shortbow renegade got some buffs and may be more viable now, but it's hard to say as it's not one of my best classes. Untamed was not hurt so bad by that one nerf and is still one of the better power damage classes. And finally dragonhunter is potentially higher, but we will have to wait and see. I can see one coming to this conclusion when you select each class 1 by 1 and decide. But if you go through each row and compare them to each other and to the ones above and below you'll see some thing's just don't make sense when looked at from that angle.
Really hope they nerf pvp tempest tbh. The tempest is one of the simplest specs to play. It literally requires minimal tap targetting and the auras are too op for pvp. In addition to that, the revive skill is also a joke. Tempest is literally a win condition and it seems that in soloq if your team lacks a tempest, it sometimes feels like you automatically lose
Damn, really thought Reaper would be something like B tier. Anyways, do you recommend Greatsword for reaper in sPvP? I've found for me that axe+focus and dagger+warhorn works the best.
Skipped over condi soulbeast entirely - it's a really solid sidenoder with almost enough mobility to be considered a roamer. Not the best burst, so weaker in teamfights, unfortunately
The amount of classes in D tier shows just how bad the devs are at PvP balance. I believe last year it was exposed that the devs outright ignore feedback and don't bother to even play some of the classes.
Not the same people that are doing the balancing atm(anet recently changed their Balance team). Before throwing shade u might wanna double check ur Information.
The reality is that for most people though it's not that relevant. Why would they balance around higher tier games anymore, there is no real competitive scene so I can imagine they balance more around the average ranked game, which is gold. Below plat you can play pretty much any spec, and people regularly get into high ratings on random specs. So long as there are no ridiculous gamebreakingly OP easy specs, mid/low ranked PvP will be the same as ever xD
Idk why ppl treat DH so badly... Most ppl probably don't know how to play around it's weaknesses. I do carry a lot of games playing DH and i have a lot of fun with it. Maybe if you're strictly talking about higher elos i guess.... But silver and gold it shines!

I was a plat player DD thief build. after playing DD thief its not what it used to be, you got classes that have same mobility as thief, do better burst and live and also be immune and ignore cc chain and also give them selves insane boons (chrono) thief I'd say is litreally bottom C. The nerfs gotten to the class too big and its not fun playing this class man. 0 fun. Hasn't been the same for years. and necromancer is dog sht too the other class I used to play. like man this game exists to nerf and ruin classes I enjoy. really sht PVP like lost ark. its either you make all broken or nerf all. they don't do either so thats why this games pvp wont be ever peak ever again. Sht balancing + you got tons more people afking in Ranked for the chest, trolls and the top 2 players are boosters. Guild wars 2 PVP is dead go pickup a new hobby lads.
Hey Leo! Personally, I would only completely avoid F tier. Even then, every spec (including the ones in F) are playable in plat if you're good at them. Make sure to listen to my explanations for each spec and tier! Hope that helps. Thanks for the support :)
since skill precedes 9/10 skills can make most anything work ...if 1 class or 2 is meta hows matchmaking not doomed? none of these tier things r even remotely accurate ppl just don't explore possibilities to dominate with builds across all classes You essentially eliminated 2 classes of the 9 for reasons of NOT fun- as if the other 7 "only" makes for a good time in pvp. Cmon. you know hammer existed on core war, lol..? if its the weapon n not the spec say it😂 its 10x better on core than bersi anyway....if core guard gets A tier willbender and firebrand still has more utility and are better. curious where youre gonna put reaper n scrapper the 2 least utility profs. Dh i agree. core engi no1 plays right ..whats meta shouldn't be based off of proj reflect exclusively..since deadeye or even ranger does it better than harbinger.. in all scenarios im having trouble figuring out how ud even enjoy the game tbh. who plays under these parameters of bottlenecks ranked matchups? core necro just deletes minions or not.
You can play any of the specs in D or above pretty comfortably in plat if you're a good player. Keep in mind this video is from 2 pvp seasons ago when certain meta classes had permanent single target and/or AoE projectile denial/reflects. So, if you were playing any class that relied heavily on projectiles to deal damage, you wouldn't be able to hit anything except yourself on both the side nodes and team fights. Berserker gets stronger burst skills than core warrior does so your claim that hammer is better on core than berserker is inaccurate. Core guard is one of the top 2 support builds at the moment. Willbender still isn't self sufficient and firebrand is severely underpowered after the changers to tome skills. This tier list takes into account counter specs, matchups, and how often you would have come across those builds in the meta back in season 36. With that being said, this is a tier list for ranked PvP. Feel free to play whatever you have the most fun on.

So basically, 90% of the options aren't very good. 😢
Hey Leo! Personally, I would only completely avoid F tier. Even then, every spec (including the ones in F) are playable in plat if you're good at them. Make sure to listen to my explanations for each spec and tier!
Hope that helps. Thanks for the support :)
@Shadowfall Yes, I decided to try Scrapper. I'll keep watching your channel to stay up to date. 1st week playing GW2.
since skill precedes 9/10 skills can make most anything work ...if 1 class or 2 is meta hows matchmaking not doomed?
none of these tier things r even remotely accurate ppl just don't explore possibilities to dominate with builds across all classes
You essentially eliminated 2 classes of the 9 for reasons of NOT fun- as if the other 7 "only" makes for a good time in pvp. Cmon. you know hammer existed on core war, lol..? if its the weapon n not the spec say it😂 its 10x better on core than bersi anyway....if core guard gets A tier willbender and firebrand still has more utility and are better. curious where youre gonna put reaper n scrapper the 2 least utility profs. Dh i agree. core engi no1 plays right ..whats meta shouldn't be based off of proj reflect exclusively..since deadeye or even ranger does it better than harbinger.. in all scenarios im having trouble figuring out how ud even enjoy the game tbh. who plays under these parameters of bottlenecks ranked matchups? core necro just deletes minions or not.
Bruh, do you even play the game? What is this list.
