    Good morning!I have been watching your video for changing the transmission fluid.kindly advise regarding Honda Civic V-tec gear box.Here is the situation when start driving this vehicle for some few metres, for gear 1 and gear 2 I experience strange movements,it jacks,also takes does not have smooth gear change.

      Replacing the filter MIGHT help this … IF. It is dirty and clogged. But depending on the mileage they transmission may be on its way out. I would not recommend a flush at this point. If warranted, you could take a shot at doing a transmission drain and refill but do not do a flush

      Hello, these videos are not always done with my personal vehicles. I don’t have access to this one at this time. But your dipstick will have level markings on it to show you where it needs to be

    I didn't have that many jacks, I just lifted the passenger side up, got to the bolt and put the car back down to let it all drain out.

      Nothing wrong with that. Gatta do what you gatta do and I can respect that. Safety is #1

      You don’t need to, but I also have a video on the filter as well. Filter cam bs done every 100k miles.

      @@avkargopal4400 better to do it, it's cheap, get the OEM one, aftermarket ones do not have the Valve, so they interrupt flow when they get too dirty.

      Only if you have been keeping up with the fluid change. If you haven’t change it ever or have no idea if it has been changed, just drain and fill. You can cause more damage

    Hi bro what happen if fluid level is above the hot line is it concerning

    • @HandsOnDismantler
      @HandsOnDismantler  7 месяцев назад

      Did you just service it? And added oil? Or are you asking because your personal vehicle is above the hot line before any service?

      @@HandsOnDismantler yes serviced last week and when i checked in the morning its showing above the upper line

    • @HandsOnDismantler
      @HandsOnDismantler  7 месяцев назад

      Make sure you’re on level ground. If it’s above the cold line when cold or above the hot line when warmed up and after driving a little, then it’s more than likely just overfilled.

    • @HandsOnDismantler
      @HandsOnDismantler  7 месяцев назад

      Overfilling it can be damaging, so you’ll need to correct it as soon as you can.

      @@HandsOnDismantler i checked and find out that when the car is cold then the fluid is above the hot line but when the car is at operating temperature than it just at the hot or upper line..I am confused 🫤

      You should still be ok. If the fluid is very very dark and has grit in it, then I wouldn’t do the service, but I would change the filter.
