BD develops only with future military utilization in mind. Unitree also develops for disabled and elderly mobility, as well as possible military use. Unitree gets my vote
Unitree is one owner whereas Boston Dynamics has been changing hands for so many times as no one wants to hold onto it. That ought to tell you something. In the lab, BD robots look good, but on the battlefields, people snatch up DJIs and Unitrees, nobody wants to risk it with American made craps
BD has really been in the hands of so many people,,now being owned by Hyundai, do you think they will sell it too?

Globalization has intensified the competition for talent among companies worldwide. To remain competitive in the global market, Chinese companies need to attract and retain talent with a global perspective. This competition may drive individuals to work harder to adapt to the rapidly changing global market.
Just keep in mind that this is even after China has lost talents to the U.S. over the years, but China still has the large talent pool to pull ahead in many STEM areas
even some robotic companies in the US have a lot of Chinese engineers working on them

$100000? No, the civilian version of the Unitree robotic dog is only sold for 10000 RMB=1350 USD. I have seen the most expensive Unitree robot dog for civilian use, priced at 90000 RMB=12500 USD, a high load off-road model. I don't know where this $100000 number came from. Spot is a real smart autonomous robot. It can do different task unlike the unitree robot which is only a camera robot on wheels. Spot can grab things or open doors. The b2 cant do that.
that's true,,it can handle way more,,but it's behind in agility,,as of now we don't know what B2W can do because in the video we only saw it moving around and carrying a person,,but Maybe if fitted with an arm too it could open doors

The robot dogs are used as a platform for various equipment. So when comparing its applications, they can be relied on some 3rd party companies. The GenAI will largely enhance such applications. Give the shorter history of Unitree, it has huge potential due to its powerful platform. BD definitely shines on some very special applications for sure.
