This is absolutley precious and priceless! If the animals had it their way they'd be playing together right now. People really could learn a great deal of tolerance and acceptance from animals. I think we need to take a step back and pay attention to how simple kindness can be. You can sense the emotional connection bewteen the animals. If the world interacted more like these creatures I think we'd be far more at peace. This video is adorable and touching! :)
Judging by the vest, the dog is an assistance dog and could have possibly thought that the dolphins were a danger and was simply trying to get the girl away from the "threat".
Dolphins were once land dwelling mammals similar to dogs. Over long periods of time, the followed the food in the water and evolved into what we see today.
La niña entorpece el contacto maravilloso de los delfines con el perro. Lástima, porque la fascinación que demostraban los delfines con el can, revela -una vez más- cuán maravillosos son los delfines!!!!!!!
I hope the program training this dog saw this and made the proper disciplinary action. A girl this young and stupid about dog training should not be allowed to handle a service dog in training. Talk about throwing away all the work done thus far...
In the beginning, the dolphins are just making communication efforts to learn the dogs language. They finally learn the base nuances of canine communication just as the whale came in. Then @ 2:16 the dolphins come back and tell the dog to REVOLT AGAINST HIS OWNER!!!!!!! Dolphins are an amazing species!
I knew there would be comments saying “free the dolphins!” But let me tell you something, wild dolphins will prefer being in wild and captive born dolphins prefer being in captivity! 🐬
The big dolphin is a pilot whale? Anyway, it's nice to see the dolphins are behaving curious and playful by seeing the dog. But I find it heartbreaking and cruel to see them in an aquarium as an attraction for people. Such big and intelligent animals who live naturally in the open ocean don't belong in an aquarium.
Totally agree. And my pet theory right now is that dogs are empathic and that dog probably knows the dolphins are unhappy and it's trying in it's own puppy-doggy way to "cheer them up"... kind of like what they do to us when we're upset.
@MDre22 Dolphins are naturally inquisitive animals. These have most likely never seen a dog before in their lives, so they all flock towards the glass to try and find out what it is.
Did you completely miss the cross species recognition? That was absolutely amazing! We are not the only species with highly developed brains. I understand your point but I think in this case the management would have been too amazed by the conversation going on between the dolphins and the dog to worry about it. Just because you happen to work with service dogs doesn't give you the right to tell others how to treat their dogs.
The uploaded of this video needs to disable comments. I cant imagine how the child would feel if she saw this. Animal abuse? Where? lol people are seeing something that's not there.
I’m looking for an aquarium video where one dolphin is staring at something (human action, animal) and *another dolphin is in the background just twirling and twirling like a goofball.* Has anyone else seen this? Please somebody help me find it, I’ve been searching for it forever!
This is not a service dog yet. It is still in training although I agree very much that this is inappropriate behavior and the child should not be handling/training the dog during a visit like this.
+NANCY REMEMBER TO ALWAYS KEEP RUDE COMMENTS TO YOURSELF, NO ONE WANTS TO READ NEGATIVITY SO PRACTICE NEVER TO SPREAD IT. Thanks for impersonating a service dog and marring the glass. Everyone really appreciates your mother teaching you to disrespect those with disabilities.
Im so sorry for dolphin , wich lives PRISON..... :( Go and see in the NATURE..... not stupied idiote sea world... for expensive ticket.... :( :( :( not a nice video....
It's honestly not surprising to me. Both species are capable of great love and kindness. Plus they both like to have lots of fun :). Probably kindred spirits.
What a number of people didn't seem to notice is that the dog is an assistance dog. Assistance dogs are only used by the elderly, blind people, and those with severe disabilities. If she was the one with the leash, there's a good chance she was the one needing help. So she wouldn't understand what the dog saying :)
The dolphins were like, 'hey guys, check out this brown furry 4-legged creature...' Then the whale got interested, 'what are you guys looking at? Meh, just a dog, not interested...'
Guys... I think this is a service dog. That's why there's leash around his mouth. That, or it has to wear that to be allowed in because of concerns over biting and stuff.
"What is it? Mom, what is it?" "It's a human! Mom, it's a human!" "It's NOT a human, silly!" "It is SO!" "It's too small!" "Mooooom! What IS it?" "Well, I don't know what it is. But it's friends with the humans." "It's FUNNY. Look how it jumps up!" "Ahahaha, it's jumping! Can I pet it? Mom, can I pet it?" "I don't think you can get to it, dear." "What IS it, Mom? Mom? Moooom...."
Замечательное видео! Дельфины опускаются на уровень собаки, смотрят ей в глаза и явно что-то ей говорят, только звуки через стекло не слышно. Это встреча инопланетян, жителей двух миров.жители двух миров. И они нравятся друг другу!
How can you guys not see that she is not yanking the leash the dog HAS THE LEASH IN ITS MOUTH AND THE DOG IS PULLING THE LEASH and she is pulling the leash out of its mouth!
Oh gosh I was so confused for a second here. I was like "Why are there dolphins and a pilot whale in the Shamu Up Close pool?" But this must have been when the dolphins and pilot whales were temporarily sharing Shamu Stadium with the orcas while the Blue Horizons stadium was being built! This is super cool btw :D
Oh my gosh...THE IDIOTS IN THE COMMENTS TALKING ABOUT BEING CRUEL TO THE GIRL ARE THE REASON ANIMAL RIGHTS ACTIVISTS ARE SEEN AS EXTREMISTS IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! You whine about a dog's leash being tugged a bit, then to say she should be slowly killed for it?!? Slowly killed for pulling on the leash a little. That is not eye-for-an-eye there people, that's eye-for-a-lung. You care about animals, but not your own species!!!
That's the most disturbing aspect of animal rights extremists... It makes me sad. Having these animals in captivity allows us to study them up close without disturbing them in the wild. And you can actually touch them and swim with them legally. You can't touch them in the wild. It's a federal offense under the Marine Mammal Protection Act.
@@sydneyp3357 So its ok to lock an animal up for us to study it? It's not where they belong, they belong in the oceans travelling with their pods. It's a wild animal why would you want to touch them? Would you touch a lion in the wild? NO! I'm happy that its an offence to touch them. We're not extremists we just understand that wild animals are meant to be in the wild.
Dogs and cats are far less sentient and intelligent than dolphins, yet people think of their pets as more significant, but it's actually the case that dolphins are persons without proper language and environment for realizing ideas. If a dolphin and a dog or cat are in trouble and you can only save one, you save the dolphin.
Dolphins saw the dog as a threat, (predator) hence the grouping together and expelling air, a distraction. Dog's reaction was puppyish, as most tame dogs are. Human reaction was to place human emotion onto the action of animals... Really quite sad to read some of the misguided comments!
seals are ocean dogs - they're related to dogs, they were canines who moved into the sea and evolved flippers. dolphins are related to pigs, they were pig like creatures who moved into the sea. the closest relatives of pigs are hippos and it was a sort of hippo like creature who moved into the sea and became orca whales. dolphins and orcas are actually nothing like dogs, or wild animals, they're more like a human in that they have the intelligence of humans, except they're not really like humans either. they're an alien intelligence. seals on the other hand are exactly like dogs, they behave like them, and for some reason they love humans.
Some dolphins need captivity there are dangers in the sea consider meta and predators. I love dolphins and I hate seeing them cooped up but then I think it may be better for them
Injuries from other dolphins. Dolphins live in pods with strong family bonds and have their own social groups in the wild, you take them from the wild, make them live with other strange dolphins together in a small fish bowl your going to get fighting!...no different than how people behave in the same situation, say like in a prison? Also injuries accrue from the tanks not being deep enough, they hit and scrape the bottom, especially Orca (killer Whales).
I am really disgusted with some of the comments on here. The girl holding the leash is obviously young, maybe 11 or 12, she is still learning about handling her dog, as much as the dog is learning not to chew the leash. why do people feel the need to comment on the physical appearance of someone when you don't like what they are doing, maybe some constructive criticism would be best? if you don't like how this girl is handling the leash, post some tips in case she reads these comments.
Kindred spirits, both species capable of such love, affection and appreciation for play. We could learn a great deal from them.
Isnt amazing that 2 spieces that will never meet in their natural they meet now ? thats very beautiful!
poor imprisoned souls God forgive us
seeing those lovely smart dolphins in a confined pool just makes me sad
This is absolutley precious and priceless! If the animals had it their way they'd be playing together right now. People really could learn a great deal of tolerance and acceptance from animals. Awwww how cute! They want to play!
"... That is one ugly dolphin... Hey Bob c'mere! Look at that!" x'D
Judging by the vest, the dog is an assistance dog and could have possibly thought that the dolphins were a danger and was simply trying to get the girl away from the "threat".
Nice how they let the dog just keep scratching the tank...
Dolphins were once land dwelling mammals similar to dogs. Over long periods of time, the followed the food in the water and evolved into what we see today.
lol this is awesome!
La niña entorpece el contacto maravilloso de los delfines con el perro. Lástima, porque la fascinación que demostraban los delfines con el can, revela -una vez más- cuán maravillosos son los delfines!!!!!!!
If the dog doesn't want to look at dolphins, don't fucking force it too... You don't even care about your dog...
that is so cool!
I hope the program training this dog saw this and made the proper disciplinary action.
A girl this young and stupid about dog training should not be allowed to handle a service dog in training. Talk about throwing away all the work done thus far...
She wasn't telling the dog off for trying to play with the leash because she wanted to video him she was correcting him of bad behavior. :D
Thanks for posting ths I needed the laugh
Looks like the Dolphins know it.
toooo cute!!!!!!!
wow! this is very nice
In the beginning, the dolphins are just making communication efforts to learn the dogs language. They finally learn the base nuances of canine communication just as the whale came in. 1:45 I had enough!!..Poor Dog!!..
I knew there would be comments saying “free the dolphins!” But let me tell you something, wild dolphins will prefer being in wild and captive born dolphins prefer being in captivity! 🐬
But I also think that most dolphins should have a free life out in the wild as they are after all a sentient species.

It looks like a "false killer whale".
Looks like she's just bothering the dog, yanking its chain, because clearly, after a while, the dog has gone tired and just wants to look elsewhere.
that isn't a muzzle its a gentle leader. It helps keep them from pulling too far ahead of people.
The dolphins are laughing at the fog
nice!!
the Lab wants to play and the dolphins are curious
animal with the biggest brain meets animal with the smallest brain.
Really mean to the dog

Dolphins are naturally inquisitive animals.

Animals in captivity, how proud do you feel?
Did you completely miss the cross species recognition? That was absolutely amazing! We are not the only species with highly developed brains. the dog is trying to warn the silly humans of the blood thirsty dolphins and their global warming machine.

the dog and dolphin are comunicating
This made me upset she is mishandling the dog so you can't enjoy the two species interacting, I didn't even bother to watch the rest of the video.
The point is that they never should have been captured.
This is not a service dog yet. It is still in training although I agree very much that this is inappropriate behavior and the child should not be handling/training the dog during a visit like this.
Wow... big man talking about a child like that.
exactly !!!!

clearly the dolphins are enthralled with the dog, now you know what to get this dog for christmas, his own dolphin!!
haha the dolphins got the dog all hyped up

the dog obviously DID NOT enjoy all these and wanted to leave, poor thing, let him go ~~~
No that poor dog! ): That girl needs to learn how to treat animals right.
The little hippo in the green shirt is the worst trained animal in this video.
The dolphins were like, 'hey guys, check out this brown furry 4-legged creature...'
Then the whale got interested, 'what are you guys looking at? Meh, just a dog, not interested...'
