I just hope that the pond where they actually live their "off" hours is at least 5x larger than the one in which they perform for the public. Wonderfully intelligent, friendly and playful creatures.

Crap, we hate that any non human species are in zoos and water parks, it's horrific the treatment of these whales and dolphins, they're stolen from their families and forced to eat a poor diet, be in a pen too small, their entire lives up to 59+ years, all the time being a self-aware species exactly like human species, think on that a moment. Conceit and arrogance of humans thinking any species that can not speak and live as they do is worth much less.
I think if they take good care of these animals some with good temperament may enjoy living in captivity. No fear of being preyed upon. But like Tokitae the orca the tank she was in was way too small. Poor girl.

When animals are kept captive in artificial surroundings that could never replicate their natural environment, they are being damaged. Just because a Beluga or a dolphin have friendly faces does not mean they are liking what they are being forced to do. All of this is for OUR enjoyment, not their's. Where would you rather be, out wandering around or stuck inside your bedroom for the rest of your life with the occasional visitor (who comes along with loud, booming music)? I agree that these are beautiful, gentle and intelligent creatures and loved by their trainers. But they are not born into this world for us to steal away and force to work for their food.

I’m very sad to see these beautiful animals kept in tight containers and trained in ignorance! They have such little space, just imagine how’d you feel in a prison cell, for the rest of your life??? Free the Dolphins, Whales and all animals in cage! ❤
i just thought i’d educate you for one second, these animals have been in captivity their entire life, meaning if they were to be put back into the wild they would die. they have been hand fed and around HUMANS since they were babies. keep in mind it is also illegal everywhere to transport marine mammals ANYWHERE, that includes putting them back in the wild. once the marine mammals that any incorporation has, passes away, they are legally not allowed to get anymore. all of these animals are safe and are well taken care of. they also do all these “tricks” even if they were in the wild by themselves. thank you and have a good day!

Hard work job just for food!! Sad.....
They do get food regularly in a fixed amount without having to do any tricks. The amount they get is more then enough but they get bonus meals if they do these tricks. Similar to how dog owners when training new dogs ask their dogs to sit and give them treats if they sit. If the dog does not sit they still get treats but only on meal times.
It is the same here. In the wild these whales would have to hunt and kill and work much harder to get any food at all and they dont even always succeed. They are an endangered species they need protection and some of them need to be kept in captivity for the survivail of their own species. You can say that it is cruel but for the long term survival and support for their species this is needed.
They dont need money 🥴 they only need food
