Salvini suona l'oud?
anyone know what is the name of the song they are playing? I have looked under I am Moroccan and that does not seem to ring a bell on the search engine.
It's not Moroccan purely -- it's Latin American. I've heard it lots of times but don't know the name. It's a classic, however.
I found it! It is an Algerian Song by name of Ya Rayah (or Ya Rayh, or Ya Rayeh) I believe that is it!
This is actually an original composition by Omer Avital entitled - Ana Maghrebi - which means in Moroccan arabic - I am Moroccan. It uses musical elements from various shaabi styles in Morocco and Algeria, as well as some latin American flavors. This tune will be recorded by Avi Avital and Omer Avital soon.
Thanks! It is a very nice song.
Are you sure? Isn't Ana Maghrebi means ( I am from west)?
