This platform looks very similar to the Tisas PX9 Gen 3 Duty, which I bought because of your review on it after shooting impressions. I've got to say that my PX9 Gen 3 Duty model is extraordinary! I am very pleased. Today, I shot an additional 200 rounds, making the total 400. No hiccups, no issues, just a dependable and accurate handgun at a reasonable fair price. Thanks, GB. I'll be checking this one out, too.

This gun shoots like a pro, i have been using it like range gun and ran about 1500 to 1600 rounds its just keep going 0 problem. I thinking about carrying it from time to time now, the more i shoot this one i started to loving it. I have bunch of cheap and expensive guns and i am 1911 fan, but this gun surprise me for the price point quality and reliability. I have glock, psa Dagger, and Caniks in striker fire but this is half of the price of the Cheapest gun i have and its running like a champ

  • @danielgreen6547

I'm not sure if Springfield XD9 mags will fit in the gun anyway...but it does seem that the Springfield 16 round mags are missing a circular cut at the top and the bottom that the BRG9 magazines have.
The half-moon or half-oval cut for the ambi-mag release found on the XD *seems* to be the same for the BRG9, so maybe an XD magazine might lock in anyway. It almost looks like Bergu took an existing Mec-Gar Beretta/SIG type mag that already had those extra holes present, and simply made the additional half-oval cut for the Springfield type ambi-mag release button(s).
Time will tell. Looks like a cool gun.

  • @killacoiler1707
    @killacoiler1707 2 года назад +3

It looks to be very well constructed and those front rails are pretty beefy compared to most. The thing that gets me is that it incorporates design cues from several pistols like the XD, M&P, and Walther. I guess in the grand scheme of things there is really only so much you can do to be original in designing a polymer striker-fired pistol today and be relevant. Utilizing already existing dovetail patterns and magazine designs allows instant aftermarket support for 2 of the most purchased accessories; sights and spare or extended capacity magazines. The fact that it is primarily an XD clone is not terrible and for those that boycotted SA firearms for political reasons now you can get an XD without compromising your position Lol!
If it performs anywhere near as good as other recent Turkish firearms and comes in around the same pricing it is definitely worth a look. I imagine that it is going to be a very flat shooting pistol at the range session due to the amount of weight that is centralized and moved out front. The one thing that I am very curious to hear your thoughts on is whether it moves around in the hand. It doesn't seem to have appropriate texturing for a firearm that otherwise seems to be built for extreme duty durability everywhere else on the firearm. Why skimp on grip texture? Look forward to the shooting impressions and what's for dinner test. Thanks for sharing.

  • @larry1754

Very good review, I love my BRG9! But yes, the steel in the BRG9 is 4340, not the "standard" 4140 used in most guns. 4340 is harder than 4140, more corrosion resistant, due to the inclusion of nickel in it, whereas 4140 does not have nickel in it. From a steel manufacturing website: "However, in some heavy machinery parts or under extreme conditions that require higher strength and toughness, 4340 steel is often used. At this time, the advantage of 4340 steel is that 4140 steel cannot be replaced." I mean seriously, to get a higher quality, tougher steel than in most guns, for the price point of the BRG... not even to mention it's dependability and accuracy.... is simply amazing!!!

I fired several rounds through mine the other day at the range and I did have one light strike but no ejection issues. My guess is the magazine might need broke in. Sometimes when I load the magazine the follower catches for a second. On a side note, I shot the BRG9, my Glock 19, FN 503 and my Shield Plus from 10-12 yards out and surprisingly I was most accurate with the BRG9. Sighs.. As a guy who's been through the rabbit hole of metals cause of a huge knife collection ..when you swap industry standards you are giving something up.. Its not any better really ..lets be clear to the metals being made in turkey so the.process of making the steel might be way more important then the mix there using ..hardness to brittlpleness even Rockwell .. Like I said it is.probably fine just is a marketing thing I'm sure cause they have a standards for reason and that standards been there for years by some of the absolute best ..the cost isn't really much off from the XD clones at 299-389 ...time will tell .. I'm sure these be in the.pile of 275-325 guns that are everywhere now witch is great for the 2A and us gun guys ..love trying some of these new guns.

Another xd clone . I’m surprised about the frame rear rail being made of steel and not typical xd that is polymer. That gun is full of safeties , grip safety and trigger bar safety . It should take sig p226 magazine too like the px9.

    Striker fired AND plastic frame?
Guess if I had to carry 12 to 16 hours a day, I might appreciate the lighter weight. BUT.......
Loading it up with 16-17 rounds of ammo kind of defeats the whole reason for the rinkie-dink plastic frame!

You do realize it'll be even heavier loaded with a heavy metal frame, right?

Yep! I guess Glock screwed-up that formula up decades ago, and so did a bunch of other manufacturers. Nobody wants a striker-fired gun with a polymer (plastic) rinkie-dink frame. Maybe you need to contact the manufacturers and set them straight.

So if Polymer Striker Fire guns are “Rinkie Dink” why have they been adopted by military forces worldwide and the vast majority of law enforcement

Looks kind of nice but it's not optics-ready so I'd pay $250 for it. I'd pay easily $300, maybe even $350 for an optics-ready version.

Plastic front rail? Throw away gun. I see you glossed over this huge issue. Next video I would be more forthcoming with a wart like this.
