- By far and away if I had to choose the one thing in my home that has saved me the most money, I would say my chest freezers. They allow me to buy in bulk and keep a long term storage of things that aren't canned or dry goods. They are mandatory in my life now, but keeping them organized can be a serious challenge. Taking a little bit of time every couple of months to organize, clean out, and reasses what we have and what we need can be a real help in meal planning and making sure I'm working through everything we have.
Onions ARE the worst to chop constantly. We use alot of onion in our cooking, so I freeze ours. ALSO GARLIC
I know it takes extra time but if you can flash freeze the fruit, onions, mushrooms and peppers etc and then bag or vacuum seal them it will be easier to take a few out when you need them without chipping away at them.
Yes, flash freeze and make smaller packages and if possible use containers to help organize,
Do you find the dry erase maker leaves marks and doesn’t come clean well?
I'm not sure people are aware of how long it actually takes food to thaw with the freezer door open. Idk why that's the focus lol.

I put an open bottle of lemon oil next to my cutting board when I chop onions. I don't know the science, but it helps!
That’s a great tip that I’ve never heard before! Side note- I’m guessing you mean lemon essential oil, but my immediate thought was “oh they have made some lemon infused olive oil! That sounds so delicious!” And now I feel like I have to try that. 😂

How do you freeze your duck and chicken eggs
I use a silicone cupcake pan. I just crack an egg right in, scramble it up, add a pinch of salt, and freeze like that. Once they are frozen through, I pop them out and stick them in a freezer bag!
