On the subject of leisure activites, they should have procedurally-generated environments around the farm for the player to just walk around in an explore. Nature walk sorta thing.
I honestly bought this game because of this video, and I'm hesitant to admit just how many hours I've put into it. Nothing beats putting on an audio book and farming some virtual crops!
I don't know why, but there's something amusing about watching you play these sort of games. I guess part of it is knowing I won't play them, but you're also just so humerus while informative about the game.
When you went to your new farm, it reminded me of when chefs on TV skip to the end of the recipe when they stick it in the oven and just pull the finished product out.
Have you played Euro Truck Simulator LGR? Honestly, ETS is an amazing game, and they apparently used the money from their newest DLC to record real car crash sounds to add later. That is just freaking awesome.
Mr Onion I lost SO much of my time (and my virginity) to ETS2, it's that good of a simulator. I mean, with the insane depth of that game you might as well go and get a CDL in real life!
Very nice review! The simulation of the South German / Swiss people is astonishingly accurate. They really move that slow, and they are in fact hollow!
Damn it LGR, DAMN it. Saw this video, grinned, expected a fun time watching you laugh while playing a boring game. But then you were enjoying yourself. So then I tried the game. And then I was up until 4AM last night playing it. There is some kind of black magic going on here.
This is a good series of games. They're surprisingly rewarding to play once the game "clicks" with you, like you said, if its your style. There is something about a good simulation that sometimes hits just right and scratches that odd little itch.
You are the best reviewer on RUclips! I watched your videos since, almost, the beginning and I am glad I stuck with ya. No other "serious" reviewer, go goes Sims games and such while you do it professionally yet funny. Cheers from Poland, LGR.
You are welcome, you really need this mod if you are not doing multiplayer. You can probably catch some you tube videos that show you how to use it. Keep it mind that it is not perfect and sometimes you still have to micromanage things. This makes this game much more playable.
Farming Simulator isn't weird. I live in a country-side town and here children from farmers absolutely love this. Well, not as much as Black Ops 2. But still.
I have FS15 and my favorite way to make money is to go logging and sell the logs I chop down. I remember being so impressed 4 years ago that I could cut the trees into almost any size and shape and the game would render the resulting logs.
One addition that would add a touch more realism would be fluctuating market prices depending on natural disasters and geopolitics...ideally you should have to decide whether you want to buy futures early in the season. That and employee theft/idleness which you couldn’t track without conducting an audit and/or monitoring real-time GPS.
wow, few seconds ago I was laughing at this game with my friend, when we watched a game trailer. Now when I watch this video I remember driving with my uncle in his tractor harvesting stuff. Damn I need this game!!!
Really late for this party, I did not know that you reviewed this game. There is one must have mod, that let's you set and save routes for your vehicles; so in a way you have workers without having workers, because all the workers do is harvest, plow, and cultivate. That is a lot, but when you start carrying like 8 to 15 fields you need some more options. The mod allows you to set up delivery routes, routes for drivers assisting harvesters, it also allows you to set routes for field fertiization as well. Sorry I can not remember the name of the mod, but it is a complete life saver. Really a great game, not surprised there is such a big following.
Mark Welschmeyer Sorry it took me a little while to get back to you. It is called "courseplay" and they did make a version for FS 2015, heres the link: www.farming2015mods.com/farming-simulator-2015/other/courseplay-v4-00-beta-fs-15/ There are quite a few ohter mods, and maps. I think most a free, but maybe not all of them. Happy farming!!
I have never realized that this was a thing for non-german speakers. I mean sure here in Germany many people know it because people that like that farming shit love the crap out of it, but the majority can't do anything with it. But it seems that they are really really successfull with that kind of game. But for the mechaniks and shit it at least knows what it does.
this game looks awesome. just something super cool about tractors and farming equipment, the fact they are purely functional vehicles that kinda look badass at the same time. and farming is just something rooted in our dna since it's been a staple in our survival since the beginning man. so i can see why this game has so much appeal despite the slow and tedious game play.
I thought I was crazy for loving lawn mowing in Bully (I made many $1000s off it), but I'm happy to see I'm not alone. I didn't even beat Bully btw and it's a great game. I put more interest in stupid crap like collectibles. The sight of blue rubber bands still gets me excited.
Even if there is some reference to COD or something buried in the video, that's still an ignorant comment. Quake, for example, plays completely different to any COD game, as it has faster movement speed, you don't recharge health (you need to get health packs instead), you have to find all your weapons in the environment, etc. Tribes Ascend is completely different to almost anything out today, too. I don't know of many other games where you "ski" around the environment at 200mph.
You have to think differently. Remember different things. Learn about how stuff works. Make plans. In fps you run to cover and you shoot people to heads.
Would there be a down side to planting with everything set to slow such as plant growth and then turning up speed to being the fastest setting possible? Or is that more or less just like the sims where you send them to work hit the speed up until action is finished button and then just going back to it? Like do other things rely on your attention while crops are growing?
I think this explains why I do monthly backups of everything and why, if you look behind my tower, there's a stack of harddrives. Finally, I have some closure.
I know it's not a graphics powerhouse (nor a realistic physics one for that matter!) but that title screen should really be real-time in this day and age. I know, the important things in gaming right?!
Did you ever play SimSafari? I'd never heard of it before and it was given to me in a pack for my birthday as a kid. It came with SimAnt, SimTown, SimTunes, and I think Widget's Workshop. Probably one of my favourite Maxis games :)
1: im guessing the controls are just like a 1st person shooter? 2: who would have though a game like this would be good!? lol 3: u said it works well with gamepads? im curious which gamepad u use on the pc, for me the xbox360 official gamepad works so well because windows is programmed to use it.
Ever play Putt-Putt Joins the Parade? I think there's ~12 lawns to mow there. Even though you only have to do 1 to beat the game, I used to do them all because it was soothing.
Im not sure if its the same i would imagine it is but you mow then get a harvest wagon i believe it is called and pick the mowed grass to feed to cows that how it was in the 2011 game im sure it would be the same so there is a point to it. :)
DLC - Disaster & Random Event Generator. Floods, cyclones, plagues of rats, locusts and ravenous butterflies. Masked psychopaths, DeLorean time machines ploughing through your pine trees, transparent aliens terrorising your family while weaving through corn fields. Jeepers Creepers's, chainsaw massacres and mutant killer sheep. Time to get my harvest on.
I wish on the sims 3 there would at least be a pack with tractors and farming because i like this idea. It's a simple game. If the sims 3 would do it it probably would ruin it, but i dont have the money to buy this game. it would be awesome and looks fun
dude ur commentary is awesome...you keep me laughing and you really get to the point while being very informal and you tell it like it is MAN STYLE lol two thumbs up..plz subscribe people !!!!
I did - both of 'em corrupted around the same time. Turns out that the card had been recalled but because we bought it in America (I'm Canadian) we didn't know about it.
You mentioned Harvest Moon :D I was wondering what you thought about it since you mentioned it. (The Harvest Moon Series is one of my favorite Game Series.)
I hate people on RUclips with this "My guy is better than your guy" attitude. I watch both LGR and Nerd3 and they both make great, entertaining videos, they're not "better" than one another, just different.
No joke, I was up at 6am having a hard time getting to sleep and watching you play this knocked me right out.
It's quite boring
On the subject of leisure activites, they should have procedurally-generated environments around the farm for the player to just walk around in an explore. Nature walk sorta thing.
I honestly bought this game because of this video, and I'm hesitant to admit just how many hours I've put into it. Nothing beats putting on an audio book and farming some virtual crops!
What's a........ book?
I don't know why, but there's something amusing about watching you play these sort of games. I guess part of it is knowing I won't play them, but you're also just so humerus while informative about the game.
When you went to your new farm, it reminded me of when chefs on TV skip to the end of the recipe when they stick it in the oven and just pull the finished product out.
Have you played Euro Truck Simulator LGR? Honestly, ETS is an amazing game, and they apparently used the money from their newest DLC to record real car crash sounds to add later. That is just freaking awesome.
Oh absolutely, it's one of my favorite sims. It's one of the big reasons I invested in a proper steering wheel setup, and want an Oculus Rift.
Lazy Game Reviews then you should make a video :D I always love watching you play sim games, and ETS2 is great
Mr Onion I lost SO much of my time (and my virginity) to ETS2, it's that good of a simulator. I mean, with the insane depth of that game you might as well go and get a CDL in real life!
Very nice review!
The simulation of the South German / Swiss people is astonishingly accurate. They really move that slow, and they are in fact hollow!
"When life give you corns, you throw the corns back!"
I lost it right there. XD
I'm definitely buying this at christmas sales. You just have a way of making other people want to play the games you're reviewing.
Damn it LGR, DAMN it. Saw this video, grinned, expected a fun time watching you laugh while playing a boring game.
But then you were enjoying yourself.
So then I tried the game.
And then I was up until 4AM last night playing it.
There is some kind of black magic going on here.

23:46 Epic maneuver music is really fitting here due to this ridiculous successful corkscrew that came out of nowhere.
I love watching this guy... and I do enjoy his snappy humor. =-)
I love this game so much. It's so addicting but I play 2015
You are the best reviewer on RUclips!
I watched your videos since, almost, the beginning and I am glad I stuck with ya.
No other "serious" reviewer, go goes Sims games and such while you do it professionally yet funny.
Cheers from Poland, LGR.
Clint you are so entertaining. I rewatch this video all the time because it's just so funny! Thank you for making great videos.
Thanks for watching :)
This game- I was half-expecting a tractor to go flying. Like in another particular game you did. :)
You are welcome, you really need this mod if you are not doing multiplayer. You can probably catch some you tube videos that show you how to use it. Keep it mind that it is not perfect and sometimes you still have to micromanage things. This makes this game much more playable.
Perfect first line of review! I love you, man!
Farming or any primary resource development really is the quintessential manly career.
I guess no more heroes is your favorite game too, since there's a grass mowing minigame.
Farming Simulator isn't weird. I live in a country-side town and here children from farmers absolutely love this. Well, not as much as Black Ops 2. But still.
I totally understand ur love of this game! Brilliant!
Have you ever played SimCopter? In my time trying out all of those SimCity-based simulations this one really stood out to me.
totally buying this during the winter sale thanks to you
There's no fallacy at all. Unless viewed from certain viewpoints, nothing is better than anything else.
This is somehow one of the best games of 2012 for me.
Is there a cow simulator?
I have FS15 and my favorite way to make money is to go logging and sell the logs I chop down. I remember being so impressed 4 years ago that I could cut the trees into almost any size and shape and the game would render the resulting logs.
Bruh upgrade to 19, 15 is not good at all compared to 13
@@cyberrednec Maybe I'll do that.
These kind of games are sooooooo entertaining for me too.
I knew it would be great when the title screen came up and you said "yes I'm serious....." lol lol deadly
One addition that would add a touch more realism would be fluctuating market prices depending on natural disasters and geopolitics...ideally you should have to decide whether you want to buy futures early in the season. That and employee theft/idleness which you couldn’t track without conducting an audit and/or monitoring real-time GPS.
I can't believe I just spent half an hour watching this!
wow, few seconds ago I was laughing at this game with my friend, when we watched a game trailer. Now when I watch this video I remember driving with my uncle in his tractor harvesting stuff. Damn I need this game!!!
You always have awesome LP's :)

where is this mod? please! and has it been remade for FS 15?
Mark Welschmeyer Sorry it took me a little while to get back to you. Evan Freudig thank you so much this is just what i needed
Evan Freudig iv'e kinda been waitting for mods to play FS 15
This surprisingly looks really fun!
Ahhhh LGR FARMS!

Very nice compared to older games of that kind. Although i'm enjoying doing that for real
I couldn't believe this when i saw it on steam, and then i couldn't believe that i actually wanted to play it.
Any plans on a Hotline Miami LGR Plays? Cause that game is all kinds of awesome!
Have you tried playing it in 720 HD? RUclips now has options for you to change the resolution on practically every uploaded video.
This game really needs a DLC adding hillbilly voices and slack-jawed toothy smiles, the whole nine yards.
hey LGR would you recommend this game to fans of the harvest moon series?
You have to think differently. Remember different things. Learn about how stuff works. Make plans. In fps you run to cover and you shoot people to heads.

i thought this was boring at first... but now i really want it!!!!!
There’s no mod support from the developers website anymore but there’s still some places you can get mods from.
I think this explains why I do monthly backups of everything and why, if you look behind my tower, there's a stack of harddrives.
Finally, I have some closure.
Agriculture is just a synonym for farming, so nothing's different.
Thanks, I just hate that so many people on YT like one persons videos and decide that they must HATE anyone who does anything even slightly similar.
Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life is VERY much like this game, plus what you described. I put a good two years into a single save before it corrupted.
How do you choose what game are you gonna play/review?
I know it's not a graphics powerhouse (nor a realistic physics one for that matter!) but that title screen should really be real-time in this day and age. I know, the important things in gaming right?!
Did you ever play SimSafari? I'd never heard of it before and it was given to me in a pack for my birthday as a kid. It came with SimAnt, SimTown, SimTunes, and I think Widget's Workshop. Probably one of my favourite Maxis games :)
i thought i was the only one that played this game
I like this much better than the facebook farming crap! It gives a more realistic simulation of farming without all of the other flashy things.
Your comment is better than most others on RUclips.
Western Digital here, I have more than a few . . . some as old as 2010 and still very fast.
1: im guessing the controls are just like a 1st person shooter?
2: who would have though a game like this would be good!? lol
3: u said it works well with gamepads? im curious which gamepad u use on the pc, for me the xbox360 official gamepad works so well because windows is programmed to use it.
I just bought retail version of 2011 farm simulator. The Mod Community is wild.
I also enjoyed the mowing mini games on Bully. No idea why though! :D
Both NerdCubed AND LGR are awesome.
You may not disrespect LGR.
I bought this game to be ironic, but eventually found it to be oddly cathartic.
Haha I understand what you mean by it being addicting, everyone I know hates Harvest Moon and I love it!
Ever play Putt-Putt Joins the Parade? I think there's ~12 lawns to mow there. Even though you only have to do 1 to beat the game, I used to do them all because it was soothing.
If you like the Ursus-dlc mod is out now
I would never play this game in a million years but here I am about to sit here for 34 minutes watching you play it lol
Im not sure if its the same i would imagine it is but you mow then get a harvest wagon i believe it is called and pick the mowed grass to feed to cows that how it was in the 2011 game im sure it would be the same so there is a point to it. :)
this made me laugh so hard!! great video
I'm oddly fascinated by this game/sim.
(Yeah, getting some Sim Farm flashbacks...)
Interesting game and great video! Though youtube´s compression is really harsh on this one...
Did you play Euro Truck Simulator 2? It's a really awesome sim and you should definitely try it.
DLC - Disaster & Random Event Generator.
Floods, cyclones, plagues of rats, locusts and ravenous butterflies. Masked psychopaths, DeLorean time machines ploughing through your pine trees, transparent aliens terrorising your family while weaving through corn fields. Jeepers Creepers's, chainsaw massacres and mutant killer sheep.
Time to get my harvest on.
safe to assume you like harvest moon?
I wish on the sims 3 there would at least be a pack with tractors and farming because i like this idea. It's a simple game. If the sims 3 would do it it probably would ruin it, but i dont have the money to buy this game. it would be awesome and looks fun
And what does this have to do with farming?
dude ur commentary is awesome...you keep me laughing and you really get to the point while being very informal and you tell it like it is MAN STYLE lol two thumbs up..plz subscribe people !!!!
I did - both of 'em corrupted around the same time. Turns out that the card had been recalled but because we bought it in America (I'm Canadian) we didn't know about it.
Still better than CoD...sorry. I had to.
Did you watch the video?
You mentioned Harvest Moon :D I was wondering what you thought about it since you mentioned it. (The Harvest Moon Series is one of my favorite Game Series.)
I hate people on RUclips with this "My guy is better than your guy" attitude. I watch both LGR and Nerd3 and they both make great, entertaining videos, they're not "better" than one another, just different.
Can you grow weed, and view it with Oculus Rift?
idk, after GTA V, a game like this would just be too "calm" :)
Oh my. I am going to get this game!
how much ram does this game require ?
I assume you're familiar with Advanced Lawnmower Simulator on the ZX Spectrum then?
Hey Clint. you should try out Agricultural Simulator 2013. I'd like to know how you think of that one as opposed to this one.
What's the deference between Agricultural Simulator and Farming, they sound the same.
This is the first time I've ever seen someone actually play Farming Simulator the it was suppose to be played and not just drive around aimlessly.
You gonna play the new sim city game?
Oh my god if only three point hitches were that easy. I frickin' wish.
Is there any way I can get some kind of demo? I'd like to try it before spending $30.
if you like odd simulators your should try their port simulator, where you can build terminals, tow ships, operate cranes,...
can you get it on iphone
