Well the whole "chirper" thing being annoying, you can get the "chirpy exterminator" from Steam workshop. AND you can get a mod to disable traffic lights on roundabouts.. or anywhere. I think there's more even haha
Any complaints of missing roads has been covered by Network Extensions Project. When it comes to better traffic AI, Traffic Manager: Presidential Edition has you covered, plus it allows you much greater control over intersections, which is a godsend sometimes when you are trying to do something specific (like create an SPUI or DDI, both of which need to have very specific signal states to operate efficiently). You can even use it to create dedicated roads for emergency vehicles. Abandoned buildings needing to be demolished is covered by Automatic Bulldoze v2. Tree brushes are available as well as more terraforming options and things that used to be limited to the map editor (like water sources). Just wait until you get the expansions. And/or start installing mods. o.o I suggest getting Move It!, Network Skins, Network Extensions Project, Traffic Manager: President Edition, Precision Engineering, and One-Way Street Arrows right away, since those ones are universally useful for things that you'll be doing aaaaaaallllll the time, namely, laying roads and designing better road networks. Automatic Bulldoze v2 is also a helpful one. Oh and Fine Road Tool. Edit: And One-Way Train Tracks.
As soon as I heard this game was gonna be free on PSN for May 2020, I crossed my fingers that a LGR review existed. I was not disappointed. Thank you sir.
even though this is a good game it really sucks that they gave out a game that is already available on PS Now. It's one thing to have one of the slots be wasted on a game you just happened to buy right before that month since there is no way Sony can make sure that every single person who has a Plus account hasn't purchased a game within the past few months somewhere else. It's something else for them to ruin the incentive for people who have Plus to subscribe to Now or vice versa. I mean usually they put former Plus games up on Now which actually makes sense for people who weren't subbed to Plus at the time that those games were offered but nearly everyone who ends up having Now will probably have a Plus account so if you do have Now already that means that is one less game for the month. Sorry to write a novel there but I was someone who defended their decision to go to two games time and time again so it's frustrating when they undermine that decision by making one month essentially not worth anything to you if you already have Now because both games are already on the service.
***** The disasters in Tropico are quite lame tho, they just randomly destroy buildings in your city, in non-realistic way :P They are just a minor setbacks you are forced to waste money into if you want to fix the destruction.
Once you hit 500,000 subscribers you should do a video where you name a person, wait about an hour, and try to find that person somewhere in the city. You can livestream the whole thing, and the video won't end until you've found him.
Nice review! This being Paradox I'm sure we'll see lots of patches and DLC to fix most of the issues you had with the game. And I guess that's why it's so cheap too, those guys really love their DLC. But if the game feels complete now then there's nothing wrong with that, I guess.
mrbitbot The CEO of Colossal Order already told in an interview that weather conditions and seasons are planned but they don't want to fuck it up because it needs a lot of work. Snow plows for winter and such... So it won't make the release like many other planned feature mentioned. So I am waiting for the flood of expansions, patches and DLC at some point. :)
Considering it comes at half the price SimCity came in...any DLC would probably be very reasonably priced. I put those numbers in my calculator, it makes a happy face.
Excellent review! I heartily agree with all of your points, and am really LOVING this game. The developers are also incredibly active, and have actually integrated some popular mods into the latest update of the game (such as disabling the film grain effect, color coding mass transit lines for easier management of different routes, and the ability to change the direction of one ways.) Over all, I'm incredibly satisfied and have had a very difficult time putting this down! xD
I love Cities Skylines, and of course the first major expansion is turning up in September, After Dark, which will add a shed load of extras as well as the day / night system, although it is already available through the modding community. This is the game Sim City should have been. There is also an insane amount of modding, good grief, you got themes for districts, music, traffic management mods and loads of maps and almost every building, vehicle and prop you could ever-want. I love the first person mod which is awesome. Paradox well done, modding community also well done, this is one awesome game.
Hands down the best city sim, especially with all of the DLC and changes since. I’ve put in hundreds of hours on this game, and I never returned to Simcity (though I do play classic & 2000 from time to time)
Paradox is an AMAZING game company, they're tiny but they make great games and nobody really knows about them. All of their games have high levels of customization and they constantly listen to fan comments. A great example: they found out that fans of their WW2 strategy game, Hearts of Iron, also liked the band Sabaton and they'd listen to the band while playing. So what'd Paradox do? They made an official Sabaton soundtrack DLC.
That purely comes down to their budget and work load.. With such a small team it's hard to create all the art assets and such.. However the gameplay is what really shines.
The sound design bothers me more than the graphics do. Irritating emergency vehicle siren. Werid noises based on your Zoom-in level (Like I heard what sounded as if a person was pissing on a sidewalk while zoomed in on my neighborhood.) But really, the game is a 9/10 easily. Where Sim City 2013 was a 4 at best and only got that because of great graphics and great sound.
Man, despite your voice not sounding different, one can hear the sheer glee towards the end. I might pick that game up (and with "might" I mean "very probably will"). It really seems to be a "proper" City-building game, like a Sim City should be (and the last one should have been, alas...).
Every time I look for a high quality gaming review I always find myself landing on this channel... way more detailed and neutral than an IGN review. Just subbed and bought this game!
I haven't played a city buiding game since SimCity 3000, but after watching this review, I have a sudden craving to play one again. Gonna check this one out.
Since they used Unity (yes, Unity!) as the game engine that made it a lot easier, since Unity supports Linux and OSX out of the box. But yes, that is awfully nice.
FrankTheCat Well yeah, using the right tools always helps. (Most importantly don't program for DirectX, or at least not DirectX only...) But still, they could ignore Linux even if it's relatively "easy" to be cross platform.
I hope another Simulation game like this finally makes Sims obsolete just like Cities Skylines made Sim City obsolete. E.A has ruined so many amazing franchises and they've proven they don't deserve owning these great names.
I love the indie vidja community! They won't give us a proper SimCity so we made our own. When they wouldn't give us a real Harvest Moon, we made Stardew Valley for ourselves. Banjo-Kazooie as a lego driving game? Fuck you triple-A gaming! We'll soon have Yooka-Laylee to fill the void!
fill the void! FILL THE VOID!! *crys* Nah just kidding.. i agree with you, the current indy trend has brought us some realy good games where the tripple A marked failed.
I really like this game and my first city just reached 50.000 people but I'm very bad at roadplanning and I almost got bankrupt cause my garbage trucks couldn't reach the city but I just survived that. Does someone maybe know how I can get better at roadplanning?
one thing I have learnt is try to make as few junctions as possible, especially on very wide roads. also in high-traffic areas roundabouts help a tonne but you will need to use highway roads for the roundabout so there are no traffic lights on it
MelonHeadSeb yeah that highway trick really works good but tnx for that other tip it really works now xD those 6 way junctions really were a stupid idea
tunnels my friend, tunnel can do miracles, also try to have elevated expressway systems that run through your city and have different exit/access points scattered all over the city, also you can download complex junctions from the steam workshop that work well on making the traffic flow more efficiently. One last tip is to have multiple garbage disposal and incinerators dedicated to different areas of the city, and not a single cluster of garbage management that wont be effiecient enough if you dont know what you're doing.
And even years on since this video, it's still worth the price! Definitely _the_ best city simulator there is! Never looked back when buying this earlier this year!
seeing you disappointed by so many of the sims and simcity products in recent years, this is a really refreshing video to behold. your unbridled joy is contagious. im always sneaking back and watching some of your old videos when theyre recommended to me by youtube, and this is one of my all time favorites of yours i think. city sims arent something ive ever been that interested in, but hearing you happy about them is such a joy. great video.
Out of the ashes of Maxis rise games like these! One question about the game though, is there a tutorial that explains things to newcomers? I did not grow up with Sim City and my only experience with city-builders is pretty much only a freeware game called Mobility that I played as a kid, so I don't really know much about the genre. It sounds like something I would really, really enjoy right now, but... Yeah, is it possible to get into this genre as a newcomer or should I stick to an earlier Sim City?
No tutorial in the traditional sense, but you can enable an advisor that tells you every step along the way if you'd like! As well as pop-up tutorial hints you can turn on in the options menu. Totally doable as a newcomer.
I've just been playing this all night and your review was a very satisfying summary of my feelings. You can keep slightly more in the loop if you leave Chirper on, but it's in exchange for a lot of ridiculously repetitious spam. There's still a lot of improvement to be made on this game, but I'm hopeful CO will be as good as Paradox is at releasing worthwhile DLC and free features with patches. Still, they are different companies so we'll see.
My problem with Chirper is that doesn't show you any information that the rest of the infographics already do. The little icons that pop up over buildings are a hundred times more useful and precise! Those keep you in the loop just fine, except for the deeper and more detailed stats that I was requesting.
There is a mod that should remove all non informative messages from Chirper steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=407871375 but doesn't seem to work if your game language isn't english
It's both stupid and impressive how EA, with their billions upon billions of dollars, can own the most successful franchise in a genre and completely kill it by adding features no one wanted and can't seem to fix their mistakes even after years of endless criticism, while a small AA(?) studio can absolutely trump EA by essentially just taking all the previous Sim City games and adding/reworking the features you'd know from asking pretty much any Sim City fan "what would you like to see in the next Sim City game?". It astounds me how smaller developers keep owning bigger ones by just taking beloved games and remaking them while fixing the problems those old games had. I'll add examples when I can think of them, but I feel like I've seen many older franchises where the most recent game that fans consider good is actually a non-affiliated, independently developed spiritual successor (often by members of the original development team), while the actual recent games in the franchise are shunned by the fans.
What I learned about this game: - The best looking fun buildings were for preorder only -The deluxe buildings are too few for that money. (Older SimCity 4 game had like fifty vanity buildings in the vanilla.) I will buy this game if there will be an option to buy the preorder-only-buildings and minimum 30+ vanity buildings together with the vanilla game.
Just wanted to say, this review was the final reason I went for Cites: Skyline's( I opted for the Deluxe pack for the extra buck) over SimCity(5) and your description is spot on and currently going on 22 hrs in and can't stop playing. Even when I screw up bad enough to have roll back to my last save it's still fun, and on that note I need to save more often. I rarely can say that I have fun in absolute failure and glorious success on an equal level. Thanks LGR!
Lazy Game Reviews Ah alright, to be honest that was the only thing holding me back since something like that just ruins a game for me. Bit stupid, yea but still...nitpicks.
Steam RP Videos I can easily see lots of updates coming that will add small things that will improve the game a lot, plus DLC content that will always had new flavour to it.
Theres no need to remove them at all. Once a building is abandoned it will be replaced automatically if the corresponding zone is in demand. But I do understand the need if you wanted to minimize land value drops.
You play Sim City before I was born! I've been seeing your vids like Sim City origins, the 2013 game and now this. Best reviews of city sim games ever.
A lot of these problems have been addressed in patches and mods by now. I would say the modding community is the best thing with this game and they are creating some impressive content. For example you can now manage individual lanes and crossings, tracking agents/citizens, tree-brush and landscaping ingame, hundreds of new custom buildings, flight sim ingame, the list goes on.
Wonjae Gye Sims 2 and SimCity 4... You can build your Sims 2 world with Sim City 4, and in Sim City 4 you can import your Sims 2 people to live in that world so you can track them. It's already been done, so it's very possible.
As a die-hard Simcity fan since the Amiga days (OK it did die after Simcity 4 Rush Hour, bite me), I have to say that this looks ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. My micromanagement desires fulfilled. Can't wait to upgrade my gaming rig and get stuck in. Thanks for the review!!
The game is still only like 8 years old. To be truly nostalgic for something I think you have to associate it with your youth. Even if you played CS when you were 13 right when it came out you'd only be 21 now, still extremely young in the grand scheme of things. The game is also still in active development, which doesn't help. That isn't a dealbreaker though. I'm nostalgic for Dungeon Fighter Online.
I haven't played a city builder in so long (Sim City 3000 being my last), but a recent sale and listening to this review a lot (mmm, background noise for working) convinced me to make the purchase for this and finally get back into this genre. I put my faith in you LGR!
I've put about 16 hours in so far and I'm loving it. The traffic system in particular is tons of fun to play with. There is something strangely satisfying about getting your traffic flowing smoothly through a busy district then sitting back to watch all the little people go about their business. I purposely avoid hype and trailers to keep my expectations of new games in check, so seeing the dynamic water system in action was a real surprise... mainly because I accidentally flooded half my central business district with my first hydroelectric dam (d'oh!) I'm actually hoping for some quality DLC in future, especially if it messes with the aesthetic (dystopian cyberpunk hellhole FTW.)
this channel deserves 1 million subs+ because his reviews are clear, accurate and etc.I got the game after watching this review LGR i've been subscribing 2 ur channel for as long as I remember keep POSTING!!!!!!!:)
I’d love to see an updated Basegame review now that there have been so many updates! Plus discussion/review of the game if you’ve got all the DLC working together 😋☺️
Still have to wait 5 hours for this to come out. Not sure if this can top the visual style of SimCity, that's one thing I loved about SimCity 5, though it looks like it's topping it in gameplay by a longshot
Lazy Game Reviews yeah i know, lol. Now with night time and the endless amounts of mods its basically almost the perfect city building game. Colossal Order definitely deserve as many cookies as they'd like.
I truly hate that MAXIS is no more... I was playing the last simcity about a week ago. I don't hate the game as hardcore as others but the space was a issue. So was having to work with another city for things, just a kick in the dick.Too bad some of them couldn't be responsible for this as content creators. Just crazy how this came out on the heels of them falling apart. I have seen it a little and was happy to see you released a video Clint. Always good hearing what you have to say about a builder such as this, going to download it soon.
Love your sense of humor :) I do agree, I would love to be able to create car lanes and traffic signals (traditional and turning). Hopefully, a expansion concentrating on Mass transit would give us more control. Perhaps another expansion could concentrate on info. I do love this game! I do hope one day that they do put a layer of Cities in Motion within Cities Skylines. ie. create express and local lines for trains/subways
My review on the After Dark expansion is now up!

I would freaking love that. And knowing Paradox's DLC model, I wouldn't be surprised to see world-themed aesthetic packs!
There is many asian mods on the steam workshop
There is thousands of mods and assets for it
Vaporwave city
This aged well
I still regret buying SimCity 5, this seems great though.
Likewise with the regret. I paid $100 for that terrible game. This looks like it should be what SimCity 5 should have been.
This is why I waited a few years and got it in a flash sale for £4 which is like $2.50, it's a great game at that price haha! xD
Esme Brand
4 pounds is more like 7 dollar :D
OnePunch Mickey Lol you're right, I went the wrong way! xD
its like that skyrim glitch where in a wedding a dead guy pops in and everyone says that you killed him and the priest wont marry your character and your spouse
Only $7.50 on Steam this weekend, definitely trying it out
its soo addicive
Richard Clarkin I know right, I bought the game and by the time I stopped playing it that first day, I already had 15 hours
It’s like 5 pounds right now
Thats it?!?! $7.50???
Blasphemy!
As soon as I heard this game was gonna be free on PSN for May 2020, I crossed my fingers that a LGR review existed. I was not disappointed. Thank you sir.
Same😊
even though this is a good game it really sucks that they gave out a game that is already available on PS Now.

Just bought this and After Dark for only $25 on PC. Can't wait to get started. Haven't played a city builder in almost 10 years.
You,ve sold it to me . Other than flooding does it have other disasters? . It looks far more fun than certain games......
No dedicated disasters, but it does have fires, floods, and waves of sickness that plague the city.
Wait for mods and DLC, cant wait
Have you tried Tropico? Lots of disasters to be made buddy xD
***** Fuck off
*****
The disasters in Tropico are quite lame tho, they just randomly destroy buildings in your city, in non-realistic way :P They are just a minor setbacks you are forced to waste money into if you want to fix the destruction.
Cities:Skylines really is the SimCity5 everyone had been waiting for.
I wholeheartedly agree with the entirety of this review.
Close to 6 years later, and it's still unbelievably satisfying to watch this kick the snot out of Sim City. Sooo good. :3
This review directly got me to buy the game. And boy, what a good decision it was! Thanks Clint!
Tokkemon same. Even uninstalled sim city 5. Never going to play that particle board game again after playing hand crafted cities: skylines
Faith in city simulators restored.
Once you hit 500,000 subscribers you should do a video where you name a person, wait about an hour, and try to find that person somewhere in the city. You can livestream the whole thing, and the video won't end until you've found him.
He should just do it in his free time.
Silver Kittiz It's definitely something I'd do in my free time.
CHBECCA If he did take that idea and actually do it, he should find a person in a red and white striped jumper, then name him Wally! xD
LukesterGaming Or Fartwhistle Dingleprop :P
Isn't it Where's Waldo? xD Either way, it must happen. Someone tag/get/whatever LGR!
The Steam Workshop help with managing fine details, like crosswalks, traffic lights, traffic routes, etc.
Ackwell The CEO told me in a stream personally that they are not going to make seasons, it requires way too much work.
Middle Eastern building pack DLC: $9.99
Considering it comes at half the price SimCity came in...any DLC would probably be very reasonably priced. I put those numbers in my calculator, it makes a happy face.
Paradox already said that the next big update is going to include tunnels. Oh and Damian Freeman "Black Mesa can eat my bankrupt..."
its great how every negative you mention has been fixed. At first through mods but almost all have been implemented in the base game now
I'm lauging pretty hard at the "Bang Bus" @4:32
"you don't have to connect to a server" I'm sold.

Excellent review! I heartily agree with all of your points, and am really LOVING this game. The developers are also incredibly active, and have actually integrated some popular mods into the latest update of the game (such as disabling the film grain effect, color coding mass transit lines for easier management of different routes, and the ability to change the direction of one ways.) Over all, I'm incredibly satisfied and have had a very difficult time putting this down! xD
2020......
and "still the best city building game"
Remember when EA said that simulation on this scale was just impossible for that time period? Then just a couple of years later.
Such a good game
It's so relaxing
So calming
A staple of city building games
It did what sim city could never achieve
I love Cities Skylines, and of course the first major expansion is turning up in September, After Dark, which will add a shed load of extras as well as the day / night system, although it is already available through the modding community.
This is the game Sim City should have been. There is also an insane amount of modding, good grief, you got themes for districts, music, traffic management mods and loads of maps and almost every building, vehicle and prop you could ever-want. I love the first person mod which is awesome. Paradox well done, modding community also well done, this is one awesome game.
Hands down the best city sim, especially with all of the DLC and changes since. I’ve put in hundreds of hours on this game, and I never returned to Simcity (though I do play classic & 2000 from time to time)
Did you notice that the "tweet" at 3:09 is from William Wright? :D
Luca salce lol yeah that's cool! :D
That company need to give you a cut of their revenue. I'm sure hundreds of people bought the game after watching this video.
It's on sale as of 24th Oct. 2017. I have it on my wishlist. Definitely will buy it after this.
Arthas Menethil Should I get cities skylines or hearts of iron iv?
GamingTaylor conflictnerd and other people also got this game for free before release so maybe they deserve a check as well.
I also got it after the Reviews of the main game + DLCs.
But damn this is great game.
its art style is more bland and its sound design isn't as good as Sim City 2013.
But everything else is better.
That purely comes down to their budget and work load.. With such a small team it's hard to create all the art assets and such.. However the gameplay is what really shines.
You're 100% right, yes.
I wasn't saying its gameplay was bad....
The sound design bothers me more than the graphics do. Irritating emergency vehicle siren. Werid noises based on your Zoom-in level (Like I heard what sounded as if a person was pissing on a sidewalk while zoomed in on my neighborhood.)
But really, the game is a 9/10 easily. Where Sim City 2013 was a 4 at best and only got that because of great graphics and great sound.
Cujo H
There is probably a mod for those, so there's no other reason not to pick this game other than no money.
***** I do agree with IGN that the cities are a tad... uneventfull.
Man, despite your voice not sounding different, one can hear the sheer glee towards the end. I might pick that game up (and with "might" I mean "very probably will"). It really seems to be a "proper" City-building game, like a Sim City should be (and the last one should have been, alas...).
Great review, this game looks really good and looks like it will scratch that itch that DRM-City didn't. Will definitely be buying.
Considering how much has been patched into the base game since it was released, would you consider doing a "three years later" re-review?
RIP SimCity
I just found out this channel and I'm already a fan! Keep up the good work!!
murilodude Thanks, hope you continue to enjoy!
Every time I look for a high quality gaming review I always find myself landing on this channel... way more detailed and neutral than an IGN review. Just subbed and bought this game!
Last day to get it under 8 USD on Steam!
I just got it a few days ago for 8 USD, and I have to say I agree with this completely!
Just realized that the opening line for this video is a callback to the opening line of the SimCity 2013 review. Nice touch!
I haven't played a city buiding game since SimCity 3000, but after watching this review, I have a sudden craving to play one again. Gonna check this one out.
A Linux port! Awesome!
Yeah, I always appreciate any game company taking that extra step.
Captain Southbird
I'm hoping that with the arrival of Vulkan/OpenGL.Next that DirectX will finally die the death it deserves.
FrankTheCat I'll cross my fingers, but I'll bet Microsoft doesn't want to lose that stranglehold.
I hope another Simulation game like this finally makes Sims obsolete just like Cities Skylines made Sim City obsolete.
E.A has ruined so many amazing franchises and they've proven they don't deserve owning these great names.
The traffic issues are easily solved, just watch Biffa’s Cities: Skylines traffic fixing videos. They help a lot.
I have to admit, the water physics in this game are great. I keep messing around with them in the Map Editor.
*crys*
Nah just kidding.. i agree with you, the current indy trend has brought us some realy good games where the tripple A marked failed.
no bauldurs gate, pillars of eternity.
no fallout 3 or 4, wasteland 2 (Although that is a bit of a chicken and egg situation)
One last tip is to have multiple garbage disposal and incinerators dedicated to different areas of the city, and not a single cluster of garbage management that wont be effiecient enough if you dont know what you're doing.
merio without mods.
This is what I don't like about the game. A city of 50,000 does not have major traffic problems.
This was even made in the Unity engine, proving that you CAN make a good game on it
We can tell it's a good game. Almost every thing he said wasn''t in the game has been added haha
Thank you! That's an instant buy then.
There is a mod that should remove all non informative messages from Chirper steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=407871375 but doesn't seem to work if your game language isn't english
and for a more sim city like look there is this one steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=406623071
What I learned about this game:
- The best looking fun buildings were for preorder only
-The deluxe buildings are too few for that money. (Older SimCity 4 game had like fifty vanity buildings in the vanilla.)
I will buy this game if there will be an option to buy the preorder-only-buildings and minimum 30+ vanity buildings together with the vanilla game.
Thanks LGR!
This game still has the best community in any game I’ve played
They should have had an "Auto Remove" system for Abandoned Buildings
EDIT: There is now a mod that does this
steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=406132323
Lazy Game Reviews Ah alright, to be honest that was the only thing holding me back since something like that just ruins a game for me. Bit stupid, yea but still...nitpicks.
***** Alright, I'll definitely be trying Cities: Skylines out then.
7:53 the Ice Cube Factory is on fire xD The irony
You play Sim City before I was born! I've been seeing your vids like Sim City origins, the 2013 game and now this. Best reviews of city sim games ever.
A lot of these problems have been addressed in patches and mods by now. I would say the modding community is the best thing with this game and they are creating some impressive content. For example you can now manage individual lanes and crossings, tracking agents/citizens, tree-brush and landscaping ingame, hundreds of new custom buildings, flight sim ingame, the list goes on.
im still waiting...one day...one day you're going to be able to play sims in your simcity cities...one day..
That's a fantastic idea, a mix of Sims 3 and SimCity could be fabulous!
IAMTheNerdHerd i know i wish there was at least a mod for that..
I think that would be quite hard to mod though! Would be an awesome idea for Sims 5, but I really doubt it'll ever happen.
IAMTheNerdHerd yea..one day thou.. sims x maybe??
Wonjae Gye Sims 2 and SimCity 4... You can build your Sims 2 world with Sim City 4, and in Sim City 4 you can import your Sims 2 people to live in that world so you can track them. It's already been done, so it's very possible.
Watching this video after 3 years, its amazing how the devs have fixed literally all the problems you had with the game at this time
Just bought this game because of this review. Great game. Thanks! Is After Dark worth it?
I've got a review for that, too :)
ruclips.net/video/P3ubxUCZs30/видео.html
+PaladinV0ci aww they just put it on sale for 50%
axilslayer Yea I know. Thats why i bought it.
Your reviews are so good I just keep rewatching.
The only thing I don't like about this game is there is no day/night cycle. other than that I like this game!
+Dylan Dalton That's being added in a free patch launching alongside the After Dark expansion :)
Lazy Game Reviews Cool! I didn't know that
I'm calling it. Cities Skylines is now in the nostalgia club
All these years later and I just learned that there's a MAP EDITOR
I haven't played a city builder in so long (Sim City 3000 being my last), but a recent sale and listening to this review a lot (mmm, background noise for working) convinced me to make the purchase for this and finally get back into this genre. I put my faith in you LGR!
LGR you are awesome and you are a great influence for me to start a channel
I hope they release this on GOG.
Trusteft That would be great.
I've put about 16 hours in so far and I'm loving it. The traffic system in particular is tons of fun to play with. There is something strangely satisfying about getting your traffic flowing smoothly through a busy district then sitting back to watch all the little people go about their business.
I purposely avoid hype and trailers to keep my expectations of new games in check, so seeing the dynamic water system in action was a real surprise... mainly because I accidentally flooded half my central business district with my first hydroelectric dam (d'oh!)
I'm actually hoping for some quality DLC in future, especially if it messes with the aesthetic (dystopian cyberpunk hellhole FTW.)
The ice cube factory caught on fire haha
this channel deserves 1 million subs+ because his reviews are clear, accurate and etc.I got the game after watching this review LGR i've been subscribing 2 ur channel for as long as I remember keep POSTING!!!!!!!:)
You should value the gameplay at least at 5:1 to the visuals. The gameplay makes most of a simulation game!
Pvemaster2 hahaha,.. thx for letting us know the ratios
Option42B I thought it was more like 6:1 but I see now that obviously it's 5:1. Thanks Pvemaster2
Actually, in some very specific games the graphics does account a little more than 15%, specially in the PC market...
Lots of his gripes are fixable through mods.
They are now, but not at the time I made this review!
Lazy Game Reviews yeah i know, lol. Now with night time and the endless amounts of mods its basically almost the perfect city building game. Colossal Order definitely deserve as many cookies as they'd like.
Who else came here after grabbing it for free on Epic games store??
I truly hate that MAXIS is no more... I was playing the last simcity about a week ago. I don't hate the game as hardcore as others but the space was a issue. So was having to work with another city for things, just a kick in the dick.Too bad some of them couldn't be responsible for this as content creators. Just crazy how this came out on the heels of them falling apart. I have seen it a little and was happy to see you released a video Clint. Always good hearing what you have to say about a builder such as this, going to download it soon.
5 years later and it still rules, one of the best value games i've bought, hands down a class game with endless fun.
and the review of Tropico series? when?
_The future._
160k views in a day, and it's not even a sims video. nice
Suomi mainittu! Torilla tavataan!
Your review is the only reason why i purchased the game. I was hesitant after the last few city builder flops, but hop fully this one gets me hooked!
