This is very bizarre. You can clearly hear the parking brake engage when the door opened. I don't think this is the valet's fault, the car clearly had it's parking brake on and just randomly started lunging forward for no reason with nobody behind the wheel.
Agreed, even after the parking brake engagement, the car standa still for few seconds and moves forward randomly a while after it stands still. Weird
Maybe the parking brake was engaged but it was still on drive... Maybe there is some brake hold mechanism... I don't know...

It was probably it... It's a powerful car after all. The parking brake may hold all that power for a few seconds, but not forever.
I was looking at some pictures of the interior of the La Ferrari... It doesn't have the average gear selector (of course). So there's that too.
@@nogueiraalf it's impossible that the Drive was engaged because there was the door opened but any sound of alarm.
He activated correctly the parking brake but if you look closely he closed the door: if you are on a track and you close the door with the first gear engaged, it is because you are inside the car and you will drive. So safely to prevent the starting full gaz, the car desactivated by itself the parking brake...
It is probably because the car is on track mod or something... it is impossible for the guy who take the key 20s before to know that.

I have an Audi S5 and even with that I avoid letting anybody behind the wheel including my wife and even when I bring it in for servicing at the dealership I reluctantly hand them the keys.

1ère + frein à main et porte ouverte = voiture qui ne bouge pas (pour proteger le conducteur en cas de porte ouverte). Il a juste baissé la porte un peu trop et la voiture a enlevé le frein à main (pour éviter de le niquer vu qu’il est en première) en pensant qu’il était dedans et elle est partie.

I never valet my cars, even though their not worth more than $250,000 (expensive but replaceable through insurance). I always insist on parking the car in their space and give the guy a nice $20 tip, they appreciate not having to park it for me, and paid to just hold onto the keys. I’m paying for them to watch over the car and make sure no one tries to key it or damage it in any way.

I have a Camero SS and dealerships are reluctant to let people test drive it if they're not familiar with cars with so much power. It's nothing close to a supercar. I might park in a valet spot, but I wouldn't let the valet drive it.

As a Ferrari owner, I can honestly say what he did was actually f*cking stupid. He left the car on, I bet it was still in gear with auto hold on. You can hear the auto hold release. Why he thought it was a good idea to get out of the car whilst on in auto hold defies stupidity. He didn’t deserve the abuse, as mistakes happen, but he was very careless and hope he learned from this.
Only someone who rents a car can shout and swear like this, mistakes and accidents happens for ffs there was human almost run over and he’s crying for the car.

So the handbrake sounds locked on 2:00 then on 2:14 you can hear it release, because the car was on D Not on N when he pulled the break on first time.
Ferrari is usually parked this way, on D and with the parking break then turn key off
so why would it start driving by itself it makes no sense

in any good automatic car, when you put it on the Parking brake, it goes automatically to neutral...not Ferrari apparently.

A car was still on 1st gear and valet driver foot was on brake. He opened the door and automatic parking brake activated so he assumed gear was already on nutral but was still 1st gear. Somehow automatic parking brake was released or disactivated. Then this happened.
seems more like a malfunction... it slipped out of park while nobody was touching it.

en fait il a enclenché la vitesse et mis le frein à main, donc la voiture est arrêtée, mais il commence à fermer la porte, la voiture pense qu'il est dedans et desserre d'elle même le frein à main.
franchement c'est imprevisible comme fonctionnement si tu ne le sais pas... c'est meme n'importe quoi de programmer la voiture comme ca, il faudrait au moins un pied sur le frein pour desserer le frein à main

First and foremost a car costing that much, the only valet would be me! Second of all the dealership would be paying for the repairs, because that freak accident could've been avoided.
Guys i have The answer, in my dads 488, there’s no actual P (park) button or lever theres only a button to set the gearbox to manual, reverse or launch control, to go into first gear or drive, you click the right lever, besides that theres a parking break button which can also be set to automatic, he probably put the parking brake on but left the gearbox in drive since the only way that the Ferrari goes into Park (P) is that you turn off the engine that’s where the problem is, the parking brake is automatically turned off when the car detects any throttle after like 3 seconds which properly explains why the car stood still for a couple seconds and then rolls forwards

@@Jean-pb6lc si si justement c'est de sa faute. se qu'il s'est passer, c'est quil a bien mit le frein de parking, mais la boite n'etait pas en neutre. ce qui fait que la moindre pression sur la pedale en D bah la voiture desactive le frein. Bizarre quand même sur une voiture a ce prix de ne pas avoir de sécurité, chez Volvo par exemple si tu es en D, frein de parking activé et que tu veux partir bah ça accelere sur place, tu dois obligatoirement mettre la ceinture de sécurité...

@@xofemn8404 Non non sinon il aurait freiné à temp. Mais j’ai de nouveau regarder la vidéo. Il a d’abord réussi à mettre le neutre, on peut le voir avec les feux stop éteint. Mais il n’as pas du réussir à mettre le frein à main. Ensuite on voit qu’il repasse en première et puis ouvre la porte. Ce qui par sécurité enclenche le frein à main lorsque la voiture est à vitesse nul.
Mais il referme la porte, ce qui pour la voiture veut dire que le conducteur est dedans.
Donc effectivement le conducteur est fautif. Mais en même temp pas entièrement. Pour moi Ferrari sont taré avec leur système. Un casse tête pour enclenché le frein à main a t’elle point que le plus simple est de passer la voiture au neutre puis d’ouvrir la porte et couper la voiture.
Tellement compliqué que même sur circuit à coup sûr quand tu t’arrête le frein auto s’active.
Fin en moralité système absolument pas naturel et puis une voiture sans position P surtout

Bizarre qu'elle soit partie si brusquement. Ca n'a pas l'air d'être un oubli d'activer le frein à main car vu que la rue est en pente, elle aurait commencé à rouler lentement et progressivement dès que le frein aurait été relâché.
Là, la voiture a bougé assez fort et longtemps après que le voiturier soit sorti, comme si elle avait démarré seule. C'est assez étonnant et déroutant, et le voiturier a du être dans le même état a ce moment-là.
