Awesome knowledge about the token Hindu goddesses, the 9 goddesses and today is the Ramnavami ( 9th day of the festival of Durga ) and you have upload on the auspicious occasion.
The button story n facts is awesome. A piece of history in such good condition in your hands.

Great to see you both back on Thames, good morning from hot Trinidad.
Happy Sunday Everyone! Wonderful finds and joking Love to see you and Nicola together!!
The blue glass looks like part of an epergne. The flower holder bit that would have fit in a dish/holder at the base.
I was thinking the same thing, but couldn't remember how to spell it. Thanks.
Si, always great to see you & Nic' together. Some lovely finds, thanks.
Finland says hi!😁
When you turned up in Australia with buttons on your uniform saying Prisoner Of Millbank you were called a 'POM' and Brits are still called that today in Australia.

Hope you had a nice holiday! Everybody needs to kick back and relax! Happy to see you and Nic today❤
It s Shiva sitting in what I believe is Mount Kailish .It s definitely not Vishnu .There are many different versions of Shiva but that is one of the most famous .
Hi mate I think I know what the diamond shaped pendant with the initials f.u.h merit award written on it. it the freed hardman university. The address is 158 east main street usa

Good morning from Canada!
Good morning Canada from this Canadian!
So nice to see you and Nicola out together again! Great finds!
That was a great episode! Thanks for sharing.
The blue glass thing may be a part of a chandelier with trumpet flowers. Never seen a blue one, though.
Hello 👋 from New York USA you found some amazing finds my favorite definitely was the Lead Game Pieces Thank you for bringing me along with you I can't wait to see what you find next 😀 😊
Nicola, I'm sitting in the kitchen of my 1830's Greek revival cottage watching you dig for the ginger beer bottle. As you dig I notice this shard of what I believe to be blue feather edged Leeds creamware or pearl ware that you casually flicked away. I have to laugh because when I unearth pieces of creamware in my area of the US, I jump with joy. If it is green or yellow feather edge I jump even higher! Thanks for all of your hours of entertainment. Have a great summer from Louis
I had the idea that she might have been planning to take it with her. She does pick such things up, though I believe she’s said she prefers patterns with people and particularly with their faces.
Si.
Love when you spend time with Nicola! Yall are great together larking, The King and Queen of the Thames Mud! (well you are to me lol) King Si and Queen Nicola.... well if nothing else Sir Si and Lady Nicola hahaha I am in the US so I have no idea who the British Royalty works, I just know no one is more royal or special on the Thames than you two to me!!!
I am discovering from watching all the mudlarking that people train their brains for what they are going to find. If they set their mind to find buttons, they find buttons, if they want to find pins, they find pins, if they want to find marbles, they find marbles, if they want to find pipes, they find pipes, sea glass, lead bag seals, beads, doll limbs etc etc etc. I am becoming more astute about it because on many mudlarking videos they ask each other "What do you want to find today?" or say "I want to find x, y or z today" and they say X and they usually find the X but in watching over their videos we see where they missed y and z because they were focused on X.
I know I am crazy lol My Mom has Alzheimers (oddly the onset came from her getting into posion ivy and not getting to the doctor when it spread all over, going into her esphogus, ears, nasal cavities etc and inflamed and got into one of the lobes of her brain, odd thing but no family history of it) I read several medical books and journals about the brain and it made me really curious about many factors but this is one major thing that I am seeing what they were saying in the journals. We are creatures of habit lol. So if we study buttons before leaving to go larking our brain has mapped out the button and locates them rather easily first. I bet that is why Nicola has done so well with pipes, because she studies them and looks at the intricate details. LOL another brain thing I discovered, You know how we go into another room to find something we left and wehn we get into the other room we forget what we are there for? Well it is because we enter another portal and our brain erases the last portal and goes to its memory of the new portal (so lets say from living room to shop) So we forget what we were in the other room for because our brain has moved to the new location LOL I know lol I have way too much time on my hands lol.
Have a grand week my friend, I would say wish there wasn't so much trash on the shore BUT it is the "trash" we are looking for LOL but not the new fangled stuff lol.
Love you deerly my sweet Si, Many Prayers
Nick and Simon , inc.
Mud larkers extraordinaire,
Cheers,

Thanks Rik! xx
Another fun video with you and Nicola. And many congrats on reaching 100K Si! 🎉👏🍾
You two together is always a breath of fresh air, so much history, great finds 🙏 ❤️🇨🇦
100k congratulations 🎊 👏 💐 🥳 🙌 💖
Great to see you and Nic out mudlarking together! Love all the interesting button finds especially the Millbank prison. The history brings me closer to my great great grandfather and his mother who were transported from London to Australia for stealing a chicken. 😊
Yikes! Did Australia work out in the end for the family??? It's a beautiful, fascinating place for visitors (like me), but your family's circumstances might make it appear much differently.
@@bkitteh6295 Yes it ended up working out well. They both did 7 years hard labour. My great great grandfather married and had eight children, one of them was my great grandmother. His mother( my great great great grandmother (remarried and lived an ok life. And here am I today because of their toughness. ❤️💖
@@superbellabeau What a great story - it's begging to be a book! It sounds you or someone in the family has done A LOT of research. You're fortunate to have all that history.
I have to admit I'm still a little stuck on the chicken theft part. 7 years hard labor?!! It sounds like some of the ridiculous sentencing that some members of American society fall victim. The difference being that they aren't in Australia if they live through their sentences. They're still in the same USA
@@bkitteh6295They were originally from Ireland and sent to England and then transported to Australia after stealing the chicken. They were very poor during the potato famine. 7 years hard labour for stealing something small like a chicken was routine back then. I've done a lot of research on Ancestory. I live in Australia. 🇦🇺
@@superbellabeau So their punishment was not Australia but England! I have to admit that the irony of that does make me giggle a bit (I'm American) although after hearing about the horrors of the English penal system, it's a miracle your ancestors survived! I still think there's a book there that many (not even related to you😁) would love to read.
I really enjoyed this video with you and Nicola. You both are so knowledgeable.
Thank you and take care.
Yay! My two favorite people!!
The blue glass thingummy looks like part of an epergne, a centrepiece for a dining table. They must've been quite popular at one time considering how many I've seen on antiques shows 😆
Great finds ! Are you using beach setting on the 'nox and do you use single or multi-frequency ? I can appreciate it must be quite challenging with all that junk metal that is dumped in there. 😉
I love it when you get together with Nicola. The dynamic duo of larking 🤭🥰Teresa 🇦🇺💖
It would be nice if you could come up with a craft for all the worn coins Si! Thanks for your great video.
Lord Mudliegh with the River Goddess, lovely.🌟🌟
100K subscribers! Yay!
Awesome naval button Si. Nice gaming pieces for the both of you. Spectacular button Nic. Great silver coin Nic.
WOOOW ! So many GREAT FINDS from some of my FAVS... THANK YOU, GUY'S !!! ❤
Nice hunt 💕👵
100k subs! Brilliant 👏 🍻🍾💥👍
Even when Nic isn't in your vids, I feel like she's just off camera scouring the shore.
The blue glass piece is a part of an epergne victorian flower vase! The end fits into a metal base.
My two favorite mudlarks! You make the best team ever!
Nice e you found wonderful finds. 🎉🎉from shirley from new Bern, north carolina u.s.a 🎉🎉🎉😅😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

One heck of a video! Cool finds along with the history. Take care and be safe.✌
It was nice seeing both of you guys ❤️❤️🍀🍀
Do you throw the offerings back in the water? Good to see you two together again! I hope you had a nice vacation 😊
YAY!! Pierre Cardin? Stylin' Si!!
Some amazing finds found by yourself and Nicola, the history of those buttons is quite amazing
I believe the reason the australians call us "Pom's" is because P.O.M. was stenciled on the back of the transported convicts jackets, meaning "Prisoner of Millbank".
Hello Nicola & Si,
You inspired me to write this little poem. Thank you for your gifts of inspiration ✨️ 🥰
Button Day
Discs shiny
Glinting in sun,
Brassy, beautiful treasures.
Alone, rusted, worn
Washed by tides of old.
Greyish tones
Dirty and lusterous,
Holding their muddy, historical binds.
What glories, relics of all different kinds.
It's a wonderful Button Day today!
A Lovely video to watch with me coffee this Spring April morning of the 11th. Some great finds and Great Fun! Thanks, Blessings and Luck inna Muck! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
Another fabulous episode some interesting finds and a silver coin, you truly are an Amazing Lady ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍
You both are the only two mudlarkers I watch, i really love what you do with the channel apart or together (better together!!) 💕 from Indiana
A tour of those the prison and prison ships would deter you from ever breaking the law. How awful to treat somebody who might've stole the loaf of bread to feed the family. The world was very harsh back then.
Did you ever find out what that blue bottle or wine glass looking thing was?
It was nice seeing Nicola mud larking with you. Great video. Thank you. 😁
Fun trip, you guys make it look seamless though there's much work involved. I think that Indian miniature may be of the Monkey King Hanuman (long upper lip).
2 of my favorite luckn in the muck people!!!
Great finds again!!! 👍👍👍
Amazing finds!
Yes! You and Nic on more lark adventures together!
that round bottle Si gave you is a perfume called APPLE, or green apple, it smelt of apples and the liquid was green. I had a bottle given to me as a birthday present in 1979. I was 16, last year at boarding school!.
Nice one SI - always enjoy you two Mud Luvvers getting mucky in The Thames! Great little finds...
