Time for another Fire Emblem Tier List and this time we've heading to the app store with Fire Emblem Heroes.

I personally thought Book 4 had an interesting thing when it came to its backstory for Peony and the other alfr being human children who went to the dream realm and turned into alfr by Freya and Freyr. Also the book’s storyline for Peony’s and her relationships with Sharena and Triandra was also, to me, an interesting part of the book and made me feel kind of bad for Peony by the end.
I think book 4 was the last one i actually did read the story through. I skipped book 5 halfways through because most characters just got on my nerves. So far i'm not very impressed with book 6 either. Maybe i'm nitpicking but i'd liek to have some more meat on the bone for those stories, maybe a map or something at least?
I'm not asking to create a story of the magnitude that are FGO singularities but a bit more than just the same formula, repeated in every single book.
Figure out there's a problem, go look for that problem, realise you're fucked, go get weapon/artifact/whatever to unfuck it, realise it's fucked up really bad, go beat endboss.
(Also being able to upgrade the original trio when?)
@@Aurirang book 5 was decent, but not particularly memorable. fafnir is an interesting villain, but otr is among the worst of the OCs and reginn feels like a retread of fjorm. dagr and nott are also interesting, but underutilized, and nott dies in a very sudden and contrived way. overall the book 5 cast could work, but are better off in a different game
for book 6, i will admit to being optimistic. i like that the emblan curse is relevant again instead of just being shoved aside, and it could expand on veronica and bruno, as well as embla as a whole, since we still know little about it despite having been present since launch
Can we agree that they need to stop giving Resplendent forms to already incredibly meta units like Brave Ike and Reinhardt?
To be fair considering most normal units get +5 stats on their pref weapons just for existing +2 to all stats really doesn't do much for the units.
I'm the biggest Brave Ike Stan in existence and even I know that he's not "incredibly meta".
And chill out about reinhardt, the dude doesn't even have a refine yet, let him enjoy resplendent stats

It's funny how Ryoma got the short end of the stick between him and Takumi for the resplendet outfits. Also nice to see some resplendet Takumi love since I love that outfit so much!

As a big Nowi fan I LOVE her resplendent. The colors and the outfit makes her look so badass
For Resplendents my favorite ones are the ones that feel like an extension of the character to reference what the character in question has gone through for example Cordelia (my personal favorite) feels like she compared to her original version looks like she has matured and gone through grief and has now carried her captain Phila and squad as the sole survivor of the Yilsse Pegasus Knights to become the new Captain of the new generation (especially considering her Resplendent reminds me of her Falcon knight attire). Other great examples are Eldigan, Chrom, Robin, Elincia, Micaiah, and Sophia as they seem to also have gone through character development throughout the story (as you pointed out with Elincia and Chrom especially and Like Cordelia how all three are more grown up 2-3 years older in their Resplendents compared to their Original versions which references the Time Skip in their respective games).
As for Heroes Original Characters, my personal favorite character is Lif because Book 3 was my favorite of the five books (Book 6 hasn’t finished yet as of writing) because he really shows how Alfonse or anyone for that matter what would happen to them if someone who was basically their “Light” that gives them hope and makes them feel like they always have them at their side, was to be killed right in front of their face. Basically, How Bad survivor Guilt Can destroy a person if they don’t get the right help before it’s too late because that death of Lif’s sister forced his hand to do a forbidden ritual that got the only thing to kill Death but the cost was too great. And this is why Lif is one of my top 5 favorite Villains in FE and My favorite Tragic villain in FE (Sorry Lyon) because of what he represents.
I also really liked The giant twins Nott and Dagr as well as finding Etiri being the true villain of Book 5 was definitely a Surprise for me and I found her “Body hopping” and living for centuries (and Not a Dragon) and basically being a Homunculus was even more Surprising. but contrary to your opinion (to each their own) I Actually really liked Fafnir, because he kind of reminds me of my absolute favorite FE villain Berkut, not a tragic villain per-say but a villain that was definitely intimidating at first but after we turned the tables against them they both were manipulated by the True villain and both fell from grace and turned into monsters (Berkut figuratively and Fafnir Literally) and after that they both subconsciously killed a member of their family (Berkut his Wife and Fafnir his Brother) and after They were finally defeated both Berkut and Fafnir both apologize for their actions and wish that they could be with the one that they loved one last time before succumbing to their wounds and dying. basically we agree to disagree with Fafnir because he was personally my favorite book 5 character. (Although I definitely got a interesting perspective on Otr now because your take on Otr was a unique perspective)
Personally Helbindi is my favourite OC. Something about the gentle giant trope just works for me. I will say, some forging bonds conversations deserved a mention for certain characters.

59:36 - 59:42 made me laugh for some reason. If anything that pretty much sums up Fáfnir in a nutshell for me.
I liked book 4 for what it did with the origin of the OCs. Freyja really stood out to me as a terror once she gained momentum, remembering the complaints of how hard her map was when she gained Freyr's power. Basically having her become a god and that translated into an extremely fun challenge at the time. Her arc of her own fears leading to what she never wanted to happen, losing that warmth she had when Freyr and the fairies were with her. Yet after the latter events took the two that served her, for her to see more than just power or Freyr. Giving up everything just to bring them back and restoring balance to that realm. The other OCs had much to go, but if one wasn't hooked I can see it overlooked/missed. Peony and Tiranda from an abusive home, the latter doing what she could to protect her younger sister for example.
The hype into Fafnir made me go from meh to outright dislike him thoroughly. Ylgr I feel so little for, came off as plot device to see more of Helbindi. Sweet kid but nothign beyond that, off top of my head. Loki seems they are afraid to commit to an arc, I remember there was a side story where she was plotting to bring back Surtr. But it went nowhere, like the rest of her events! I like Thrasir, but admit to struggling something worth mentioning.

Actually the resplendent alts do change stats. They get +2 to every stat.
I think we all know that not only did he put Fjorm in S-tier because she is one of the best characters, but also because if he did not, he would have to face the wrath of Maggy lol.

I'm 100% fine with Surtr and Hel because it's more important for a villain to effectively challenge the heroes than it is for them to be complex characters in their own right. If they were also entertaining to watch, I'd say they were S tier villains, but as-is, I'd say they're B tier. A villain isn't a character; they're a plot device in the shape of a character. They're a challenge for the hero to overcome and in that regard, they work well
Lif's design reminds me of a vampire knight.

In the context of Fire Emblem it's the black knight, in terms of villainous groups it would be the black fang.

Personally I think Helbindi is the best OC, and a good character even compared to non-Heroes FE but, this was fun to see your point of view as always.
Oh right also I do think there is a bit of interesting stuff for Nifl, having lost someone she loved but yeah she's sadly kinda dull.
Since they have 2 Hoshidon Royals let me say my wishes for the other Fates Royals.

Sakura: Nifl I feel that she would be in Nifl.

Leo: Dark fairy or Hel(I just want to see some male fairy alts)
Elise: A fairy alt. I mean that fits her well.
I’d go light fairy for M!Corrin given how he’s often shown picking Hoshido while F!Corrin picks Nohr. Also I will legit be surprised if Xander’s isn’t Embla considering he’s part of Veronica’s entourage
I agree with Elincia she’s one of my fave resplendants of all time and one of my fave arts in the game

I have a soft spot for Chroms as well. I really like how he actually looks healthy now and not like some mangy mut.
I just wish that you could earn those resplends as a f2p-player.
@@Aurirang honestly, as long as resplendents remain paid only, it limits how much excitement i can feel for them. there should be something like heroic ordeals where you master that unit to get the resplendent version. maybe even have it unlock automatically after enough merges or something
@@Underworlder5 Yeah, i'm not in favor of them being paid only, especially since it gives a flat+2 to all stat if you have one.
Not a Fan of Roy's either since he could've garbed Muspell's outfit. You know Fire on Fire instead of Fire and Ice.

You're thinking of project ember. Base binding blade is a good game but from what I've heard project ember does a much better job in regard to unit balancing and being less frustrating.

I feel like some of the alts should have been more directly compared to their base art. Like Ephriam should be B tier at least when compared to how bad his bas art is. Also maybe its just me but would Michaiah's resplendent be a reference to her being a dark mage in Awakening?
Ephraim doesn't have a resplendent.
If there was a Young Lucina alt in Heroes, the Lucina resplendant would have worked better with her than with teenage Lucina.
Fallen Edelgard has forced me to surrender more often in Aether Raids than Fjorm willing to fight or kill Laegjarn.
Nifl and Muspell were a lot like Mila and Duma from Shadows of Valentia.
I don't really like Freyja because her love for her brother walked the line of sibling incest.
You haven't done an anime video in quite some time. Maybe a tier list of your favourite anime villains or anti-heroes?
I've already done top 10's for both those subjects so that would be redundant.

3:26 surprised you didn’t mention two of the things I like most about R!Roy, both of them tying back into Nífl being the realm choice. 1, is a cool contrast to have him in the ice realm, most people probably would’ve just slapped Muspel on him and called it a day, so points for originality in that aspect. 2, and more importantly, Ninian is basically Roy’s cannon mother, and she’s an ice dragon, this is basically a call back to that and it’s SO cute seeing Roy wear ice clothes like his mom!
That second point is a nice call back which I didn't notice.
On your second point considering that Eliwood’s other opinion Fiora comes from Illa aka the Ice region it also works with that pair in mind too

@@allyrose9494 yeah that one is definitely stretching compared to the other two but I do like how Roy has aspects of each of his potential mothers (even though Eliwood/Ninian is the closest to being the Canon pairing) Also as someone who ships Lyn/Hector and Roy/Lilina, I love how the Resplendents are basically Ice/Fire for my personal pairings
I honestly really love Líf; sure he's a total edgelord, but he honestly has every possible right to be one. He didn't just lose his sister, or even his family, he lost his ENTIRE KINGDOM. Now that he's left with nobody but Thrasir, he made a deal with the very Reaper he sought to defeat, where every life he takes in the alternate version of his kingdom is one saved in his own. Basically, the Book 3 boss theme is also his character theme.
Oh. I thought Fates would be next, but talk about a curveball.

@@BLAZINGKNIGHT50 I'm here from the future. Book 6 might be the worst yet in terms of pacing. It was so rushed I don't even know if Elm is dead or not. Or Ash for that matter. (Probably not because Forging Bonds but being dead hasn't stopped other OCs before.) And Bruno went out with no fanfare at all.

I kinda disagree with Fjorm and Laegjarn, Fjorm for me was just interesting, she was a decent/good character in her book BUT her alts ruined her, that ship they tried to force.. the Summoner x Fjorm was awful and for me ruined everything good she had and sadly dragged Laegjarn into that at the end, and with Laegjarn, in the story she was AMAZING, S Tier 100% a tactical and inteligent woman who thinks for herself and the sake of her close ones, but then they made her playable and that just lowered her to "Laevatein big sister" because everything she says its about her sister... and they had the chance to redem her with the ascendant and made her kinda worse because they just made her to be Fjorm's support in everything
Alsu Helbindi deserves a higher place, he's not just Ylgr
