One of my favorite character actors. Never disappoints, especially at a villain. Glad to see Mr. McDonough in Yellowstone giving Costner a run for his money.
For real! Seeing him on Arrow was the first thing I’d ever seen him in, and he was fantastic. He was also good on Legends of Tomorrow, a little mustache twirly, but still fantastic.
Did not expect to see this pop up in my feed today, but so glad it did! I love Mr. McDonough’s voice acting work as Green Arrow in the characters DC Showcase, and I’m really glad he got to reprise that role in the most recently in Green Lantern: Beware My Power. Hopefully he gets to be the Emerald Archer more often.
Glad to hear Kevin Sorbo is as great as imagined. Neal's a prince, and every series he's participated in is enriched. Looking forward to watching more of him on the screen.
I have "Tin Man" on DVD where Neal McDonough plays a hero. It's nice to know that he is a Christian and stands firm in his beliefs and faith. I'm also glad to see more and more quality Christian movies and TV shows that doesn't have the cheesy acting. Christians ih Australia are also wanting quality entertainment, so please keep it coming.

I love it. People like Mr McDonough (and Kevin Sorbo, etc) really are beginning to build a viable alternative to main stream Hollywood. This is a group of people who truly are "stunning and brave".
I would love to see him play Eisenhower in a biographical piece surrounding the war years. He reminds me of a young Eisenhower. I see it as being a great hit👍
I agree. He actually played Eisenhower in the last season of American Horror Story! The season was divided into two stories; the first was about vampires, the second was about aliens. I stopped watching the vampire one since it was trash (as is most of AHS, I don't know what I was thinking giving it another chance) but I decided to check out the alien story when I saw Neal was playing Dwight and Sarah Paulson was Mamie Eisenhower. Needless to say they were both terrific and yes, he was the PERFECT Eisenhower but the modern day part of the story was completely uninteresting. Still worth checking out if you have Hulu; it's only four episodes long. Just be prepared to scroll on your phone through much of it
Like Andrew, I first encountered Neal in his role as the psychopathic hit man Robert Quarles on season 3 of one of my favorite shows, Justified (it speaks to how mesmerizing he was that I remember his character's name!). Since then he always commands my attention whenever he appears onscreen. I'm happy to hear he is making his own movies now and getting involved in projects that reflect his values. I will seek out this film he is promoting as it looks like it is tackling the W E F 's agenda head on. Well done Mr. McDonough!
First saw him as Lt. Hawk in Star Trek: First Contact. Small role, but he played it well. I remember he was an officer you could assign to your ship in the game Star Trek: Starship Creator. Loved that game as a kid.
Neil was the actor that I never knew his name but was always impressed by his acting. It's only been recently that I found out about his character and it makes me appreciate his acting all the more.
What he's saying isn't Christian. It's moral, but Christianity isn't about acting right. It's about how right Jesus is before God. He gives us his righteousness. Not trying to get on a soapbox, just clarifying for anybody who might want the clarification
Such a great actor. With his unique looks I feel like he would be a leading man if it wasn’t for the hate and disdain Hollywood has for people of faith
Loved Neil in Arrow and Suits. I'm sure I've seen him in other stuff. I didn't actually know he was in Justified, never made it that far but now I want to watch the rest of it!
Good show Andrew. I wish you guys would’ve told us where to see “Left Behind”. I’ve been googling where to watch it and looking at local theaters and nothing. ☹️
This is a fantastic interview. What a cool dude, too genuine for Hollywood! Loved his villainous roles in Walking Tall, Minority Report, Red 2, Paul Blart 2 (the only good thing about that film), and my two top favorites: Malcom Beck in Yellowstone Season 2 & Robert Quarrels in Justified Season 3. I first saw him in Band of Brothers as Buck Compton, and have loved him ever since!
He was on this cop show that got canceled in season one, the show was really good, and different, told from different viewpoints, sometimes the same scene replayed over. He was a sleazy lawyer...can't recall name of show. Justified and Band of Brothers...awesome performances. Ok, show was 'Boomtown'...disappointed it was canceled.
Thank you for this--both of you. Mr. M. has always been a favorite. He was perfection in Justified (as was everyone), and he was both a Howling Commando (Captain America First Avenger) and a Screaming Eagle (Band of Brothers). Sublime.
If Mr. McDonough, you see this, I've watched you through your career. Movies and TV. Sir, you did your father proud. You gave $2 for the buck they gave ya. Listened to this interview with tears of pride/shame/agreement. Thank you, Andrew and Neal. God Bless you both
I recall (there may be some mis-remembering) a Wall Street Journal article from the first-decade. It described Mr. McDonough's home life and the Hollywood people who were attracted to its welcoming and genial and familial normality. I also seem to remember that he is a Catholic. The impression never left me. As the late John Gregory Dunne once wrote when describing Hollywood -- for the most part it's a normal company town. At least behind the camera and among the scores of people who bring a film to the screen of your local cinema-plex.

We just finished watching the Beck brothers meet the demise on Yellowstone last week. He definitely can play the bad guy very well. I think he was the heavy in Walking Tall with the Rock also.
I love this guy. To be honest, I was never a fan until I found out about a year ago that he’s a Christian with strong convictions. The only reason I wasn’t a fan is because I’ve only seen him play BAD guys. It’s weird, but if he’s ever played a good guy I missed it. He’s great at playing villains.
