If you really want to learn to play the guitar, you really should learn some basic chords like E, C, Am, D, just to name a few. Learning the background chords to the songs will help you to learn the lead. Just picking out a melody like in the video is okay if that's all you want to do, but if you really want to learn the guitar, start with a simple chord book, and begin learning the chords....picking out the lead is the easy part. Good skilling!

Hey Millie I see you practicing on your electric guitar not the base guitar electric guitar you sound pretty good and amazing you know how the old saying practice makes perfect so when you're actually rocking out on the electric guitar make a video for it I would like to see it but until then just practice as much as you can you sound an amazing just keep practicing and can I say you look beautiful as always but still keep practicing and when you actually are rocking out on that your electric guitar I would like to see a video of it but until then get practicing take care of yourself and be safe

I've been playing guitar for over 50 years and this is just a suggestion, learn how to play the acoustic guitar before moving onto electric. Electric guitars tend to play themselves.

That is so true, been only playing for about 7 years but I found that electric is just so much easier for playing jazz and what not. I remember when I switched to electric, I was pressing the strings down so hard when I played chords that I made the strings go out of tune because I was so used to having to press hard on the acoustic. Electric really does just play itself, I feel like I’m cheating when I play on it lol. Happy playing!
Play it just like a bass and you will eventually get used to the 2 extra strings

Remember not all guitarists use a plectrum. Finger plucking is a bassists dream.
