Nickelback - "Lullaby" Karaoke | Original MIDI - [ColombGMGS2]

While wandering among Steve Terreberry's videos, I met Nickelback again as the most hated band ever. But a viewer had commented claiming that Nickelback isn't that bad with some songs including this one, pointed out as examples. Sincerely this song is so much heartwarming to me as the lyrics directly speak to a mother who unfortunately died while giving birth to the only child of the family. The singer reveals the never-ending frustration of a father as well as a dedicated husband. He encourages her to be strong and survive but eventually calls on and on to her although she had passed away leaving the baby alone with dad...
Well, the vocal melody has some elements from their own song "Photograph" but the verses also go much similar to Linkin Park's "Burn It Down." (You know, terrible connections from my mind.) Anyway, the overall C# Minor key architecture had driven me much much claustrophobic, so I decided to put the melody of a real Sinhalese lullaby at the end. A bunch of experiments is there too. Do you recall the "RPN" Tweak for fine-tuning cum pitch bend range change? I applied it today to double the pitch bend range of my vocal line and to make some percussion sound muffled and horrifying!
