while i will acknolwedge that we have a baggage of nearly 300 million MIDI files due to the 40 year legacy of the General MIDI standard (a standard that TRULY stood the TEST of time), i feel that it is TIME to move into the new world of modern-day sounds . . . but hold on . . . we CANT just dump and leave ALL of our 300 million Midi files duh ! So I am now working on a project to map out ALLLL of the 480+ Yamaha XG sounds to the monstrous and legendary Steinberg HALion VSTi Synthesizer, which thankfully is engineered from the ground up by the same Yamaha synth engineering team, giving us AUTHENTIC samples and renderings of legendary Yamaha synths such as the S90es, CP80, the DX 7 and the DX5 which has some of the HARDEST-to-EMULATE FM electric pianos, but thank God we have them in their Authentic sound within the HALion synth. My only FEAR is how the classic MIDI EFFECTS would be carried over into their equivalent RICH-sound equivalents once we migrate into the new world of modern soft synths such as HALion and Kontakt. We need a MODERN Soft synth that will pioneer the migration of classic standard midi files into a FULL BLOWN standards based, but super-modern General Midi soft synth that rearticulates the cheezy sounds into their modern-day RICH-effect equivalents. We HAVE the technology right now. We have the Synth Engines as well as almost ALLL the sounds and samples. It is ALL inside either Steinberg HALion or Native Instruments Kontakt. We just need to find a way to WIRE it up AFRESH into its new-world soft synth format !! And hopefully we will soon say our final good byes to S-YXG50 (but NOTTT to ever discard our Midi files!) 🤩🤩🥰🥰🥰

Strangely enough these audio drivers took away my user account picture upon uninstallations or reinstallations.

I am using a Plantronics wired headset (Blackwire C3225) that is connected to my machine via an USB-A port. My main issue is that the microphone volume is too low, even though I have maxed out the microphone volume. After some googling around, I have found out that this "Intel Smart Sound Technology for USB Audio" driver could be a possible reason. I have tested disabling this driver and the issue has been resolved; the microphone volume is back and working at a decent volume. If the issue reappears I will uninstall the damn driver from Intel. Thank you for your nice video and explanation!

I got this working in the winlator Windows emulator on android and it sounds great with XG midis and Windows emulation is my only option because there is no soundfont that can replace those infamous XG sounds!
