Sewing is so therapeutic for me, which is why it’s such a privilege that I get to sew book sleeves for people! I love crafty hobbies, they’re all fulfilling. That one of the reasons I collect LEGO haha Building LEGO sets is creatively satisfying. Ps- now I’m off to buy The Nature Fix (because being outdoors is like medicine for me) and that crafting book haha
Have you heard of diamond painting? It is literally paint by numbers meets cross stitch and it is so therapeutic and relaxing. It is perfect for listening to audio books and they make beautiful pictures you can hang on your wall so you don't have to be creative or put a lot of thought into it, but you accomplish a lot and make gorgeous art.
Those Pantomine covers are stunning. Having just looked up the blurb for book 1, I AM SOLD!!

I commented once already, but I'm going to let you know that I read Rule and Jet the marked men books (because of Rowdy being inthis haul) and loved them to pieces so I went ahead and bought all the other books because I couldnt help myself. I love these guys.
I am the same way when I listen to audiobooks. I've discovered that I really enjoy diamond painting when I listen to audiobooks. It's similar to paint by number/sticker but instead with little gems. You outta check it out. It's so addicting.
You should really look into better world books. I love getting my books through them. They're very cheap and free shipping.

I love the circus theme and have some of these to my TBR. Aerialists sounds amazing...and as an aerialist who runs a burlesque/circus troupe, it is definitely right up my alley lol
I've been buying a ton of those paint by stickers books. I have the famous artworks one and the one with the fish on the cover. They're so great! I've been listening to albums and audiobooks with those babies.

I really liked the Scent Keeper this year. Magical realism isn’t typically my genre, but that one really clicked with me.

Your comments on crafting made me wonder if you're familiar with Amy Sedaris? I think she has a show, but I know her from her earlier work. Her books are all about how crafting and baking is fun and people should do it just for the joy of it! You might particularly enjoy her book Simple Times: Crafts for Poor People, which focuses more on crafts. She's also a comedian so some of the examples she comes up with are VERY silly, haha.

My mom loves doing the paint by sticker books. You can also get them on Amazon, that is where I get a majority of her's. Yes, I have bought them for her, in the past, she was happy for the package. Circus is a buzzword for me as well.
I can't recall if you mentioned reading any circus-themed or traveling entertainment-themed romances in the past, since you're also a fan of romance. Have you read the following: Nora Roberts' Honest Illusions. About a family of magicians/illusionists and escape artists. Really good book.
Mary Jo Putney's One Perfect Rose set in the 19th Century (I think.) It's an historical. The hero joins a traveling theater group.
Susan Elizabeth Phillips' Kiss An Angel. Kind of a bizarre book with a questionable hero/heroine relationship, but it's set in a circus.
Lucy Parker's Making Up. The heroine is a circus artist. The hero a make-up artist.
I should be getting a box any day now. Quarantine is good for Book Outlet.

I found two Cozy Mystery Novels on Circus's called the Circus Cozy Mysteries the author only has two Cirque De Slay and Big Top Treachery there written by CeeCee James

If you want another rec for circus theme books, did you know that Akemi D. Bowman released a circus book? It's available on Scribd and it's called Harley in the Sky.
Have you read Harley in the sky? Its circus themed, but to me it also dealt with mental health.
I have managed to not order from them during quarantine which is just abnormal for me. I set up a spread in my bujo of just my Book Outlet books and it was jaw-dropping. The books are either amazing 5-star reads or meh, but cheap books are hard to resist! But I still have so many unread eek...
BTW, Have you tried L.H. Cosway yet? She has a circus series you might enjoy and it will hit your romance needs.

I'm reading "The Scent Keeper" right now or I should say I have barely started it, having only just read it on my lunch hour at work. I can say this much about it, it's beautifully written. There is a sense of mystery. I'm wondering how this father and daughter came to live on this island, who is Jack (the scent gatherer and keeper in the father's made up stories to his daughter) and who was or is the mother of the daughter and why is the family not together. I'm intrigued and I can't wait to find out.

If you like the sticker books you should try diamond art.
I never get a note yet my last three orders from them have either 1) not shown up 2) been delivered completely empty. A literal empty box with the side ripped off 3) with a piece of cardboard attached to the side with a million pieces of tape and missing 6 books. So very frustrated with this! The postal workers throw stuff around and don’t care of it gets damaged or lost (clearly) but I’ve also complained to book outlet that they should either split up bigger orders into more than one box or use better boxes. If my last 3 orders have been this way I can guarantee it’s not just me! Sorry for the tirade- I saw your damaged box and it set me off lol

Adult craftes will probably always be asked what they're doing with their crafts, expecting they want to make money off of it. Instead why not let them knit, crochet, paint, papercut because it's plain old fun... I should probably pick up that book
