Jan Žižka - Hussite Wars | Episode 15 | Lineage

Here we explore life after John Huss and Jerome. It was hoped by some that their executions would signal an end to the Reformation work in Bohemia, but this was not the case. In fact, now that John Huss was dead, his writings attracted even greater interest. The work continued and was protected during the Bohemian Hussite wars by General Jan Zizska. He never lost a battle and despite having a vastly smaller army, they were able to repel several Papal Crusades.

Few mistakes (like picture of Siggismund used for Prokopius) and what caused Žižkas death (its not certain even today). But otherwise a very nice video.

1. Zizka didn't lose his first eye in 1410 but much earlier when he was still young. Probably during one of his skirmishes with knights of House Rozmberk (who were enemies of his family).
2. The image you used for Prokop the Great is actually an image of emperor Sigismung (who waged war against Hussites at that time)
3. The drum made of Zizka's skin (his last wish?) is nothing but a legend... Probably never happened.
4. It is said Zizka died of black plague. If that is true he would have been the only one from his regiment during those days. It is likely he was either poisoned or simply died of pneumonia/TBC or similar disease.
