I liked it! It's a real hard, dark sound. It did sound distorted/disjointed in some parts, but I think he was going for that. Then again I can see people not liking this for those reasons lol
Why is there so much negativity? This is massive talent. You don't have to like it! but at least respect it. Why are you looking at this stuff if you don't like it? Lets put some turn tables in front of some of these guys to show us how easy this would be. LOL.
Hahahaaha, great discussions as always :) this is real d.j., not your local dude with dr.Dre headphones mixin' on his Macintosh or some other computer, pressing "auto BPM" and voila...DMC is the ish! Some of the best d.j.'s "started" here...

@ballefras its all about pros/cons. Pro: You mentioned, +easier to learn to DJ. Cons: It is much easier for unskilled DJs to survive the industry and some effects have yet to be adequately replicated by digital, namely--scratching like this
@goufist3r these are timecode vinyls to control a programm on your laptop. they only sound like PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE (...) P. Search for Sample Vinyls. e.g. 100 Cutz - DJ Crates
@PBux @TheKkrriissii @amenKilla He's not using Serato... but he is using custom pressings. He's still got mad skills regardless if you like the style of music he plays or not...
DJ's job os more of a show than skills. Think about it. what is most important in the club? making everyone a great show, or showing off how amazing you can scratch and blend it together in a rythm? This only interest people that are specially interested in this kind of music and art.
ok dj fly great dj but at 0:50 theres a sample with quick repeating cut I swear he did with the crossfader, but I watched again and he didnt even touch the mixer, so the sound came from the record but I'm sure he could have totally done that by hand, why do it the cheap way in a dmc battle ?
So true. Bought Beats for £250. Broke after a week (thank God I got a refund). Then I bought Sony headphones for £15. Still running 2 years after buying them. Not saying Sony is best, only that Beats are not worth buying at all. Only for show, no use.
"they just showed their skills and werent standing in front of the turntables waving their hands while just playing a custom made record" Sir you are describing dub if its prerecorded
OHH yes this is the REAL DMC with REAL vinyl the "NEW" DMC is with Timecode and this is shit the best DJs make music with REAL vinyls RIP REAL DMC 1995-2010
@KashgroundTM I am a DJ. a real DJ and it kinda pisses me off when "people" call this the DJ WORLD Championship when in fact its just scratching and back traxing. its a whole lot more to dj than that. Also if you can move the crowd. This guy is good at what he does but don't say he's the Dj Champ because he's not. btw I can do the same thing but I don't. I evolved and moved on from that. and YES I still use vinyl but can also use CDJs, Serato, Virtual Dj and all the other software out there.
@10Cicegim To the uninformed you can do the same thing on CDJs. one of the reasons turntables and mixing evolved was because amateurs like this use to break needles constantly because they didn't know what they were doing. also CDs are lighter and easier to carry. some djs even use laptops, MP3 players and Ipods. wake up and get with the times people. BUT, I use them all so save your comments.
That's bollocks, you cant do that on CDJs, not in a million years. You can only replicate it on time coded mp3 technology like Traktor or Serrato. They know EXACTLY what they are doing, and I'd say that sequencing a pressing of your own dub plate for a routine is very much keeping with the times. Seems like you are the one who is a bit behind.
I liked it! It's a real hard, dark sound. It did sound distorted/disjointed in some parts, but I think he was going for that. Then again I can see people not liking this for those reasons lol
well done, different style. I like it.
@TheKkrriissii where i can find Sample Vinyls? on the internet specially ?
Beyond belief !!! Awesome. Well done.

I hear ya. I'm building a case against mine as we speak. Audio was and always will be my first love.
they mute out the crowd, only the set, mc, and judges have mics for the recordings
Any one know what the tracks that he plays are called??
is there a better quality video of this?
you can find a clean edit he did later here: ruclips.net/video/0iZdggruFpY/видео.html
