      @dorimahu1 3 года назад +10

      I'm sorry but that is incorrect. A lot of people think that but there is absolutely no evidence to support that! So where are people getting that from? There has never been an office that the Lord has closed. Period! And that doesn't even make logical sense. The Bible says that the Lord put these offices in the church for the edification of the people of God and until the church comes to full maturity. Look around and tell me that that has happened yet. The Church is still in disarray, even almost 2000 years later. Also, how does it make sense that he gave 5 offices and just decided to close 1 or 2 but left the other ones. So, he left the teachers, evangelists and Pastors but decided to close the prophets and apostles down? Show me a single scripture in the Bible that says he ever did that. It doesn't exist. So again, where are we getting these teachings from if they are not in the Bible? Here's the answer. We did that. Us! Not the Lord! We don't have the authority to disregard anything that Jesus established. But we have allowed these false teachers to influence us into believing stuff that's not in the Bible and we made it doctrine. The Bible says in all things get understanding. And we are failing to interpret the scriptures correctly.

      That is not true. Here's a question, can you find me just 1 scripture where either Jesus himself ever said that or any of the 1st apostles? It's not in the Bible. So where are we getting this teaching that there are no Apostles today? No one can find a single scripture to confirm that. I'll tell you, it was man. Ignorant false teachers who spread that lie so that the Church would not except them. How is it logical that the Lord said that he gave us 5 positions in the church for the people of God but for some reason we can still have Pastors, Evangelists and Teachers but we can't have Prophets or Apostles now. When the hell did that happen? And how does that make sense? Apostles are still needed because the church hasn't come to full maturity yet. All the positions are still needed. But the enemy has deceived a lot of people because he knows that if the church is without any of them, then we won't be whole. The Lord is the one who put them there and he's the only one who can end them. And there's not a single scripture in the Bible that says that he did. He'll do that when he comes back again. Cause when he takes us with him to heaven, then we won't need them anymore. Pray about it. God bless you.

    Remember the culture acceptance has changed NOT the Word of God thats why we have confusion but for me I'll stick with God

  • @dorimahu1
    @dorimahu1 3 года назад +4

    People of God, It breaks my heart when I read all of these comments and see so much confusion. So many different beliefs and teachings. And that did not come from God. God is not the author of confusion. So, here's the truth. The Lord said that he gave us Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. For the edification of the body of Christ until we have come into our full maturity. Look around this world and tell me that that has happened already. Even almost 2000 years later, we still have gotten there.
    For those that believe that there are no more Apostles and there can't be anymore, question for you. Can you find 1 single scripture in the Bible that says that? Did Jesus ever say that? Did Paul or Peter or anyone else ever say that? It doesn't exist in the Bible. You can't teach something when you don't have a single scripture in the Bible that can confirm what you are teaching. Until the Lord comes back those positions will always be in his Church. He put them there and he's the only one who can bring them to an end. And He will do that when He comes back again. The Bible says that when he returns that we will be like Him. That is when we won't need these positions anymore.
    We have allowed the enemy to send false doctrine in the church so that we wouldn't be whole. The Apostle brought direction and instruction and governed the people of God. And that is still needed. However, there will NEVER be Apostles who have the same mandate as the first ones. They had a very special task of establishing the foundation that the Church was built on and writing the scriptures. That has been done. But their work is being challenged and attacked and undermined constantly. So, the modern day Apostles are tasked with protecting and repairing those foundations that our forefathers have worked so hard to build. And no, there are not women Apostles. That whole Junia debate has already been debunked, but they just don't want to accept it.
    So, people of God, until the Lord comes back again, we still will have Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. We just have to pray for enough wisdom and discernment to identify the false ones from the true ones. And that's tough. God bless you all.

      @Mark OnTheBlueRidge _"First, they had no instructions from God to select a replacement for Judas."_ But Peter had been given the keys to the Kingdom (Matthew 16:19). Plus, they make decisions without direct revelation throughout Acts. We don't see direct instruction from God for them to select 7 Hellenist deacons (Acts 6), so does that disqualify those men, including Stephen and Philip?
      _"Further, Matthias is never mentioned again. He works no miracles, he does no evangelizing. He just disappears from the Sacred record."_ Well, where do you see Thomas, Bartholomew, and Simon the Zealot in the rest of the NT?

    • @carolberubee
      @carolberubee 3 года назад

      @Mark OnTheBlueRidge I read the "wait" instruction as concerning their going out as witnesses (Acts 1:8), not as "just sit and do absolutely nothing of value."
      Throughout the Gospels, they are referred to as the Twelve. After Judas Iscariot leaves, they are referred to as the Eleven (Matthew 28:16; Luke 24:9, 33). But after Matthias is chosen, Luke once again refers to them as the Twelve (Acts 6:2), as does Paul (1 Corinthians 15:5).

      That's incorrect. Read the Bible and look at how Paul was called. He was not a witness of the Lord's resurrection nor did he walk with him. Paul wasn't called to be an apostle until after Jesus rose from the dead and ascended back into heaven. Paul saw him through visions. But he was still an apostle. The ones who walked with Jesus were special apostles. They had a very specific mandate. But the Bible mentions over 20 other Apostles by name. No one will be the type of apostle that the original 12 and Paul were. But there is not a single scripture in the Bible that says that there are no more apostles. Jesus never said it and neither did any of the others. So, where are we getting these teachings from if the Bible can't confirm it? The Lord gave 5 positions for the Church. Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. And until he comes back again, those positions will always be in the Church. We have allowed the enemy to confuse us and we have allowed false teachings to come into the church. That's why there are so many beliefs about it. But none of that came from the bible. The Lord is not the author of confusion. And the apostle gave direction and established sound doctrine and brought order to the people of God. Look around this world at what is happening in these churches and tell me that that's still not needed! Pray man of God that his true Apostles step forth. Without them, it will only get worse. God bless bless you.

    • @dorimahu1

      I'm think there is a little confusion concerning my comments. I do believe that Paul was an Apostle. I've been reading some comments that I think it comes across that I don't believe that. If I made that impression that's my fault. What I'm saying is that there are no scriptures in the New Testament that anyone can use that states that Paul was the last Apostle and that there are no more Apostles after that. And I'm also stating that there are no scriptures in the New Testament that anyone can find that records the selection of a female Apostle. People read that Paul came across Junia and he said he knew her and then they make a huge leap and say, see she's an Apostle. The Bible does not state that. It just said they were know to the Apostles. So, I'm saying that a woman cannot be an Apostle because there are no scriptures to support a woman's calling into that office. That's all I was trying to say.

    a good question to pose in this matter would be: what kind of apostle are we dealing with? (1) of the Lord as in those who are hand picked by Christ himself. in this case, the evidence would suggest a negative Junia does not fit the qualification. and there are none of these today(2) of the church as in those who are chosen by other members of the church represent them. in this matter, Junia fit perfectly considering the context is servants of the church starting with Phoebe in verse 1. And it is possible that there maybe some of these but not probable.

Jesus never said it and none of the other apostles ever said it. The Lord used the original Apostles to write his word. If there were not going to be any others then why did no one ever say that in the Bible? It doesn't even make logical sense. So, The Lord put in place 5 offices for the edification of the saints until we arrive to full maturity but just decided to close one or two of them but leave the rest! Does that make any sense at all. We have allowed the enemy to come in an use false teachings to confuse the people of God. If it's not in the Bible and we can't find scriptures in the Bible to confirm what we are teaching, then have no business teaching it. There will always be Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers on this earth until the Lord comes back for us. Cause that's the only time when they won't be needed anymore. But there will NEVER be any apostle who has the same role as the first ones. They were unique and had a specific purpose. But the Apostles bring order and instructions. That will always be needed. That's why everything is so messed up now. There will be consequences for neglecting even 1 one the Lord's offices. And you can look around this world and see the effects of not having a whole church. God bless you.

    Hey Mr. Dude. 1st. Really nice shirt. 2nd. So how and when are woman allowed to serve God? Are we ever allowed to teach or minister to others outside the family unit? Maybe do a video about that my friend. Also, is there an age that a mother has to stop teaching her son the word of God since women can't lead men? Did I say nice shirt? Okay my dude...sending prayers for you and your family. Oh oh ....maybe you could do a series teaching young men and teen boys how to follow the bibles role as a man of God. How to be leaders with grace. Just a thought. Guess I should go eat now....you know apparently food is good for you . 🙂😊🙏😎

      @Bobbi Patrick Hey Kara. Thanks for the shirt compliment. Men serve by being strong leaders, providers and protectors of their families. Qualified males can serve as pastors, elders and overseers. Women serve by being homemakers, nurturers and by submitting to their husbands and helping raise the children. I do not believe Christian women should be teaching Christian men in any type of formal setting. It is prohibited. Wayne Grudem believes boys should stop having female teachers in church at around the 5th grade level. I see wisdom in that. Moms should continue to encourage and teach their boys at home as long as they can. Generally speaking this should be done in a context with the knowledge that the father is the recognized leader of the home. Obviously, there are lots of widows and single moms who need to take on this responsibility alone. In the past, there was often a grandfather or uncle who would help fill that void of the missing father. Perhaps if there isn't, a male at the local church could assist. Thank you again for the shirt compliment and the prayers! Yes, I should do a video on that subject some time in the future. And definitely get in three square meals a day. God bless.

    In some translations, they mention the words fellow kinsmen or countrymen, suggesting that Junia(s) is possibly male.
    However, in the other translations they say fellow Jew, which gives no clear hint.
    I guess at the end of the day does it really change the overarching core of the Bible and it's purpose - to stay focussed and ready for Christ's return? If we get bogged down with the minutiae (the small, precise, or trivial details of something), it will take our eyes off Jesus and isn't that what the father of lies wants us to do?.

    The game egalitarians are playing is to use Romans 16 to create an unnecessary and artificial contradiction with 1 Timothy 2 and 1 Corinthians 14. Then they resolve the contradiction by shrugging off those two passages as being intended only for particular congregations. The problem is if one studies those passages carefully, that take upon them simply does not jibe. Those passages are clearly enunciating principles that are not time- and place-bound. When the scripture gives its own exegesis as it does in those passages, it is utterly unacceptable to discard that exegesis and substitute a differing exegesis for it. There is no reason to embrace the ridiculous assertion that Paul and the Holy Spirit who inspired him were writing in Romans 16 about a female apostle and that they were really down with that.

      Its is by the authority christ gave the original apostles to preach the word, that we also do so. The meaning of our apostleship is not one of office but simply just messengers. Preaching to the public doesnt have to be someone on a podium but through living a godly life in christ the gospel can be shown

    • @carolberubee
      @carolberubee 3 года назад

      @@davidhaimoto6339 I disagree with your assertion that the Gospel can be "preached" by living a godly life. When the Bible uses the word for "preach," it means to proclaim orally (especially) or by written word. The _kerygma_ cannot be communicated by one's life. The Gospel that must be proclaimed is that Christ died for sins, was buried, and rose from the dead three days later in a flesh and bones body (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). This simply cannot be communicated through behavior (though our manner of life should be worthy of our calling in Christ).

      @@carolberubee i just have one question, how do people know that the gospel is in you? Many emphasize the saying of the gospel that Christ died for the sins of the world and rose again. I saw this emphasis within the orginal question; can a woman preach the gospel? Im not saying there is more than one gospel like preach your testimony or the goodness of your works but, what i am saying is the power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in those who are in Christ. Many confuse godly living with exuberant spiritual experiences and worldly expressions of love. But in truth those who are believers and doers of the word live a life that is reliant entirely on the gospel with a hope fixed on Christ alone. The witness of a godly life that is sanctified in Christ is contrary to an average worldly life of sin. So when someone sees you, they see also Christ who lives in you. Not just by your words but also by your actions. The scriptures this is based on is 1st and 2nd peter. I think preached was the wrong word for me to use. Maybe shown is a better word for what im describing

With regards to the role of women in the church, if a person examines all the evidence and seeks God, I believe that God will honour their conclusion regardless of what they choose. I truly do believe Junia was a woman. What says it for me is that Junia is wearing a head covering in every historical depiction we see of her. Look at what Paul says in 1 Corinthians 11:4-6
    “4 Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. 5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head-it is the same as having her head shaved.”
    A head covering was the symbol of authority women wore on their heads. This would imply that Junia would be a woman since women were to cover their heads.
    With that being said, I do not believe she had a leadership position over men. It’s possible she taught women and children and may have assisted men of the church (like Priscilla and Aquila), but did not lead services or exercised authority over a congregation.
    Man is the head of the woman, but that does not make them inferior to men. They can play pivotal roles in the church and the home without crossing the line of being in authority over men and I believe that’s what Junia did.

    The biblical basis for not ordaining women as priests/Bishops is that the WORD OF GOD does not allow a woman to TEACH or to take AUTHORITY over a MAN because of the ORDER IN CREATION.(see First Timothy 2 verses 11 to 14 ). It is contextually clear that these scripture verses stand as a prelude to the QUALIFICATIONS required of a priest /presbyter/ Bishop in First Timothy 3 verses 1 to 7 . WORD OF GOD strictly rules out the possibility of women being appointed to this post before proceeding to state the qualifications required for this post .
    From the scriptures we can also see that it is the DUTY of the presbyter /priest/bishop to TEACH the ENTIRE church congregation ( consisting of both men and women) and also to Shepherd/Govern/Rule the ENTIRE church congregation.( See First Timothy 5 verse 17 , and 3 verse 2, and 3 verse 5 ). Therefore, this office is one that involves both TEACHING and exercising AUTHORITY (Governing/ Shepherding/ruling) over the ENTIRE church congregation. This is again made clear in Hebrews 13 verse 17 where we are instructed to OBEY our LEADERS and SUBMIT to their AUTHORITY . Hence it is very clear that women cannot be appointed to the AUTHORITATIVE office of priest /bishop /presbyter / Elder.
    In consonance with the above, it is also crystal clear from the Bible ( Read Ephesians 5 verses 22 to 24 and First Corinthians 11 verses 3, 7 to 10 ) that the HEAD of the family is Husband/Father and not the wife. It is the Husband / Father who stands in the place of (represents) GOD to the entire family and not the Wife /mother . The clear implication is that only qualified FATHERLY MEN should LEAD the entire church congregation as priests / Bishops as CHURCH is an EXTENDED FAMILY ( Portrayed as HOUSEHOLD of God) ( See First Timothy 3 verse 15).
    WORD OF GOD clearly tells that the leadership role of Husband / Father is based on God's DESIGN for man and woman ensuing out of God's ORDER IN CREATION and HEADSHIP of MAN in the family . ( Note that Husband Wife relationship is analogous to CHRIST CHURCH relationship as seen in Ephesians 5 verses 22 to 24). This analogy can NEVER BE REVERSED or DONE AWAY WITH .
    Church can NEVER AT ANY TIME exercise Lordship ( Headship) over Christ . TO DEMAND SO IS UTTER NON SENSE . So too, wives should NEVER exercise Lordship / Headship over their husbands. Husbands / Fathers have the UNIQUE LEADERSHIP ROLE and responsibility to LEAD the family in accordance with the will of God , and wife / mother ought to SUBMIT IN EVERYTHING to this leadership role (Headship) of her husband.
    This unique leadership role ( Headship) given by GOD to the HUSBAND ALONE can NEVER be assumed by the wife. It is not dependent on whether or not the husband has more / less Wealth, abilities, education etc than the wife. It is entirely rooted on the ORDER IN CREATION and LORDSHIP of CHRIST over the CHURCH ( GOSPEL) which was in the mind of God from eternity past and is in no way dependent on mere transient culture, time, or traditions .
    NO wonder that the DEVIL and enemies of Christ vehemently attack this GOD'S DESIGN for family and church , as they hate the GOSPEL . The core theme of the gospel is the absolute and irreversible Lordship ( Headship) of Christ over the church and absolute submission required of the church to the Lordship (Headship) of Christ.
    Our forefathers instinctively knew these natural / moral differences and they had also no difficulty in accepting the Word of God . They also had deep reverence for the Word of God .
    In this modern age clouded with liberalism and FALSE IDEOLOGIES like FEMINISM , and all sorts of perversions , it is very much necessary that the church must all the more anchor on the solid rock of WORD OF GOD and stand by the truth .

In this crazy world, many households & communities lack male leaders, so women are forced to teach the gospel, How sinful it would be to starve someone of the Word of God because legalists say women can't teach men??? This world is dying due to lack of knowledge of Jesus Christ. Would you deny a man a chance for salvation because only women are available to teach him about Jesus??? If you would, you are not godly or a disciple of Jesus Christ, you are a minion of the devil.

    Personally I don't think Andronichus was an apostle. But suppose that he was, and suppose that Junia was his wife as some people speculate. In that case the common sense interpretation of the text would be that the apostleship Paul speaks of to applies to the husband but not to the wife. That interpretation creates no contradictions with other scriptural data.
    The scripture knows nothing of any idea that when a man is put in a position of authority in the church by God that his wife becomes a joint partaker of that authority thereby. Some people are fond of thinking that way about Aquila and Priscilla but there is simply nothing in the scripture to support those vain imaginations.

    When u say Apostles are no longer, how is the highest covering, other than Jesus, is now removed, and those who were appointed by the Apostle's Preacher, Teacher, pastor, Evangelist, Prophet, prophetess, is still in existence, but the position that established these positions as they went place to place, no longer exist?
    Certainly the position of Bishop is not the covering for multiple churches, a Bishop is a Pastor who is married, and has children, and a Bishop is not a "calling" the position of Bishop is a "desired" position, u can be A Bishop, or not, but people are using Bishops to cover multiple places of worship, which is an Apostle's job.
    Apostle's today don't have the responsibility they had from the beginning, once Jesus saved Paul, and had him to write 1 Corinthians 12 and Ephesians 4 about the gifts of the Spirit, Jesus took a lot of the massive responsibility that was on the Apostle's, and shared those ministry gifts, and other Spiritual gifts throughout the body of Christ, now u don't need an Apostle to lay hands on u to receive a Spiritual gift, it is still possible, but not required any longer, for to one is given
    "BY THE SPIRIT" not necessarily by an Apostle.
    Apostle's main Job now is teaching Doctrine, which Jesus said to give heed to til he comes, they are still the Spiritual covering for places of worship, not Bishop's, and now there are many in the body of Christ that have a gift, or several gifts, and not because an Apostle laid hands on them, or spoke over them.
    Apostle's main calling is to keep the doctrine straight, cover the houses of God, and be able to settle doctrine differences in the house they over, and
    IF NEEDED minister in Spiritual things.
    Apostle's can still operate in ANY of the Spiritual gifts when needed, but they certainly do not carry the burden alone anymore.
    But Apostle's have taken on themselves strange teachings, an calling things that are not theirs to call, walking about demanding weird things be done for them, and can not teach doctrine at all, nor defend what they affirm as true, that's why these leader's don't allow themselves to be questioned, but the people question the Apostle's concerning what they were teaching, and if the Apostle's we're questioned back then, who these folks of today think they are talking about don't question, or come against "God's anointed" if u born again u God's anointed, but don't get me wrong, yes leadership is exalted, and should be, like Elders in the body are worthy of double honor, but they must serve well in the house, and know the word of God and how to solve differences, I just thought I would respond to your post concerning Apostle's, because everybody thinks if u are a true Apostle, then u should be able to perform miracle's, and do everything the Apostle's did, and none of those people realize that the load that Apostle's first carried, has been lighten, just like Moses load was lighten, but he was still in charge of God's people.
    I hope to hear a response from u on this, tell me if I'm Biblical, or not concerning Apostle's still the head over churches, and if u disagree give scripture how Pastors, who were always under Apostle's, and became stationary pieces for places of worship while the Apostle's were away, have become the head over multiple churches, or the position of Bishop, which is not a "called" position has now become the covering over multiple places of worship.

    "There are no modern day Apostles" - according to scripture this statement is not true. Ephesians 4:8 tell's us that 'When He Asceneded' (very important) He (Christ) gave gifts to men, first listed among these gifts were 'Apostles' (Verse 11). So these Apostles are appointed after His resurrection and ascension. What's more Ephesians 4:12 tellswhy they were given - to equip God's people for service, and it tells us about the duration of Apostles (Along with Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers), 'until we all reach unity ... and become mature ... attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.' So, if we have all reached unity in the faith, if we have all become mature and if we have all attained all the fulness of Christ - then Apostles have ceased - but if not, if we have some growing to maturity still to do, if we have growing in unity still to do and if there is yet more fullness in Christ for us to attain - then Apostles must persist.

    Barnabus was apostle sent by the Holy Spirit at Antioch. Acts 14:14..Paul never taught he was the last apostle. Apostleship is an ascension gift of christ to the body. Are there prophets in the church of Antioch, yes!. These gifts are NOT of the same order as the 12 or paul or Barnabus. But they do carry apostolic dimension and ministry of Christ to the body to equip the saints for service.

    The scripture is clear that Junia is a MAN… KINGSMEN means “men”… as if you search the scriptures further you will find the word kingswomen used as well which is indicating for a woman, so many use this scripture to justify women Apostles. The holy scripture is CLEAR and there should be no debate on Gods word to justify one’s actions. There has never throughout Gods word been women pastors, bishops or Apostles. Only Prophetess and Evangelist. 2Timothy 2:15.
