I love your videos because you give us pictures of outfits instead of just talking about them. I just ran across your channel today. I live in the southern US. So there comes a temperature that I think linen is just too hot and sticky to wear. Spring and fall and up to a certain temp in the summer, I wear linen. I was brought up a good, southern girl to never wear white before spring and never after Labor Day. 😂 Who else was taught that growing up?

White is my favorite wardrobe color, especially for trousers, skirts and dresses. But, I wear a lot of white tops, too, it’s the most common color I have. White always feels so light, fresh and clean! I don’t think it’s impractical at all, white linen and cotton can be chlorine-bleached as necessary (either spot-bleached or added to the washer load for overall grime removal, whitening and brightening). White silk and wool/cashmere do have to be worn with more care, but “white” silk and woolies, the protein fibers, are almost always ivory, because silk and wool fibers can’t be aggressively bleached by cloth producers. Ivory/cream is a slightly more forgiving color, but doesn’t flatter us with cool-undertone coloring as much. No chlorine bleach on these, ever, at home, either! I wash all my silk clothes, “white” or otherwise, but if they get an oily or pigmented spot that I think won’t come out in a washing, I get them to the dry cleaners, ASAP. If taken in within 24 hours, they can virtually get any stain out. When I went out to dinner two months ago, the diner next to me dribbled the oil for the bread all over my new silk dress sleeve. I took it to my cleaners the next morning, now it’s spotless and looks never-worn.

Maybe we should all just hold our breath and stand perfectly still to keep them pristine! 🤣 Jokes aside, have you tried blending linen with synthetic fibers? They maintain that classic look but are much less prone to wrinkling. Plus, they’re usually more affordable! 🌺

@@azlynzzz5 Rayon remains a great option for blending with linen, even in the diverse climates of the USA. It helps maintain the breathability and comfort of linen while reducing wrinkles significantly. As for viscose, it’s similar to rayon and offers similar benefits, but it might be less prominent in markets due to environmental concerns linked to its production. Either option would keep you comfortable and stylish throughout the seasons! 🌼✨🤗🫶❤️
