Saw them twice, once opening up for Arcade Fire at Red Rocks, then by themselves a few years later at the Fillmore. They have one of the best live show's I've ever seen. Also, if you haven't seen this movie in its entirety, I'd highly recommend it.
Saw them on a side stage at Coachella with about 50 other people watching in 2006. Saw them a year or two later in Los Angeles with about 300 in audience. Saw them in San Francisco in front of 800 (?) at the Fillmore. This was a sad watch for me but I will watch it again. It's playing here in Dubai at the International Film Festival.
He smiles @ 1:50 His somber attitude may be his natural state or it may be an act of sorts. Either way it fits with the over arching narrative of his lyrics which seem to come from the point of view of an artist on the way down after the peak of his career...

As a fan this documentary drove me nuts because i just wanted to see more of band. Wish a full concert version of this is released at some point .

Never had gotten to see them. Now that they are reformed, I HOPE they come to SANTA FE, NM..or at least ALBQ!!! PUH-LEEEEZ
