Great video! Thank you for posting this. I am finding that these tasks are pretty easy. You should be able to change the filters, Oil, Brakes and Rotors if you have a Maserati. This is about 99% of all maintenance required to keep your beautiful luxury investment running perfectly at a low cost to you...
Awesome tutorial! I’ve changed the brake pads on my Maserati SQ4 a year ago and curious to see how other fellow owners do it. I use o Reilly Ceramic pads that cost me only $80 dollars and they perform excellent. Only downside is that they don’t have the sensor so I just zip tie the sensor
This is super helpful Dan! Gonna take on this same job on my GT in a few weeks. Thanks for providing the tool dimensions as well! I’d like to flush the brakes as well, assume I can loosen the relief valve and depress the brake repeatedly?
No problem! I haven't checked to see what the process is like on a GT (brake fluid flush), yet. The only thing that worries me is a lot of these newer cars require you to cycle the ABS pump with a scan tool in order to flush the brake fluid completely. However, I don't see the harm in using the "old" method either.
Hello, how do you put in service mode to change the rear brakes pads? I have a Maserati Ghibli Granlusso and I change it but didn’t put in service mode, do you know how can I fix that? Or only with the Maserati scanner
Hello! Thank you for the video! These brake pads fit great and no more squeaking yay! But I can’t seem to find a link to the sensor, could you please post it? I’d appreciate it

Hey great video! I know I have some brake squeal going on my Maserati grancabrio at low speeds right now. My front and rear pads are not horrible but will need some changing soon. I was wondering if there was a special brake spray I could use for the meantime to deal with the squealing??
@@DIYDanCars because I have a Maserati Ghibli S 2018 and I need to find out which pads are bad and I really want those red ones because my calipers are red to 😊
Dan, I'm a novice and have changed my brake pads one time but now looking to do rotors as well. I've looked at your links and only see front rotors. Am I missing something?

The emergency brake engages on the rear brake rotors, not the front. If you are servicing the rear brakes and the emergency brake is on, then yes, removing the rotors will be quite difficult. Hope this helps!
I’m doing the pads on all 4 wheels and wasn’t sure about the EB or any type of settings when jacking the car up, I know some luxury vehicles have settings for lifting the vehicle. Thanks for all the help!
Thanks for the video! Question: when I talked with the dealer about brake replacement on my MC they told me that 'you need a computer to disable the calipers' and that's why I needed to bring it to them. Did you have to do anything like that prior to the replacement?
Nice. I just bought a 2020 Levante at the dealer with CPO and warranty until 2026. I wonder if they would void my warranty if I did stuff like this or change my oil. They wouldnt answer that question with certainty either way.
You can service your own car and keep the warranty. According to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty act, which is enforced by the Federal Trade Commission, it's illegal for manufacturers or dealers to void your warranty or deny you coverage because you performed the work yourself.
