I was blessed enough to be the Project Engineer for the Tourist Class Seats. One option to point out that seems to not get used is the reading light in the bottom of the monitor. That is the reason for such a large tilt range. Loved your video!!!!

An excellent and comprehensive report for a short journey. I flew Vietnam Airlines A350 last Dec from CDG to Hanoi and has fallen in love with the comfort and spaciousness of the A350, much better than the B787-9 and B787-8 flew with VN and ANA respectively.

Fantastic aircraft and fantastic video, I love it! You're so lucky to be able to fly on a brand new aircraft. You should take a long-haul A350 flight in the future to test the new technology that can supposedly eliminate jet lag. I look forward to your video of that flight :)

Very nice tour, Gavin on the A350! Especially your seating area! I find it very interesting on how in the passenger service unit, there is no passenger air vents unlike in Boeing aircraft lol I just figured that if someone gets airsick, they can turn on those air vents and it can help settle them. Pretty quiet engines it has!

quite surprising cause Singapore airlines own baby airline Vistara in india. serves atleast snack box in short flights of 1 hour but they serve only drinks. but i guess it must be hard to serve meal boxes and collect in a big aircraft like 350 than in 320.
Great video. The A350 looks great, but I hope to see it on some India routes also served by the A330 so I can fly on them one time. Also, great to see you flew the new Y class for the First time. I can tell you liked the touchscreen and touchscreen handset better than the older longhaul 77W's (Excluding the newer and refitted 77W of course). Hopefully I'll fly SQ in August, and for sure all SFO routes will have the new Y class (Reconfigured or brand new).

I can tell the seats are a notch up from the older seats based on the comfort. I look forward to trying their new product soon
+KhunPaulflyer The flight is only 30-55mins long so by the time the plane completes take off and starts cruising, you only have time to take a short drink before the pilot announces/commences the landing.

Thank you very much for this clip must be the first one where the landing/touch down is handled by a true pro unlike QR and Finnair trip reports when you sort of think oh boy they really smacked the bird onto the runway.
Looks really nice its just dissapointing that i wont get on board of one of these in the next few years ( in two month i will get on board off an a380 for the 2 time bit its the first time i fly with it)
I sat on SIA's A380 (9V-SKB, PEK-SIN SQ807), and from the looks of the AVOD I guess this is much better than the A380s, because other than the frequent stuttering on the A380's AVOD, my sister sitting beside me had her AVOD crashed and boot looping, but thank god that was when the plane was landing already.

Finnair had 3-3-3 in their A350, allthrough theie A340 had 2-4-2
A350 is a fair bit wider than the 787 for example; so you can configure your aircraft 9-abreast, and it won't feel tight.
