i cant believe people are so uncultured the "Have a nice day!" line is from his mortal kombat 2 ending
technically speaking it first came from Raiden's Ending in the original Mortal Kombat game.

"Have a nice day" Is a reference towards Raiden's ending in the first Mortal Kombat game. He quickly became bored after becoming champion so he challenges other gods to fight. Its said that their battle results in the destruction our world and the ending quote was "Have a nice day."

Old school MK fans knew “Have a nice day” was coming at the end of this.
"Have a nice day" seems to have taken an ironic meaning in Mortal Kombat, since it's only used when things have gotten really, REALLY bad. In MK1, it's used when Raiden wins the tournament and invites other gods to participate as well, resulting in their conflicting godly powers destroying the planet. In MK2, it's used when Shang Tsung merges Earthrealm and Outworld into a single domain, condemning the Earth to an eternal age of darkness and evil. Here, it's used when Shang Tsung commences his takeover of the multiverse, while espousing a doctrine of evil and cunning so that good and morality become quaint and irrelevant. "Have a nice day", indeed (sarcasm).
If Raiden had invited other gods to participate in the Mortal Kombat tournament, I'd imagine Raiden would invite Fujin in his Mortal Kombat 1 ending.

u know in mk11, they should have ended shang tsung ending the exact same way they ended liu kang's ending (i.e. the one where he goes back to train kung lao) except at the very end you see liu kang shape shift back into shang tsung in private which shows continuity in the sequence and flow of events... i was like so sure they would end it like that, but of course i gave them too much credit to come up with an killer ending like that
