Seatcraft is excited to add the Equinox home theater seat which comes with the new "Power Lumbar Support" feature. The power lumbar support increases support by adjusting even support against your lower back to keep proper and natural curvature of the lower spine, which results in an extremely comfortable position. Power recline and power adjustable headrests further increase comfort by placing you in a state of relaxation and desired viewing angle. This seat is powered by SoundShaker Transducers that, when powered by the amp, will enhance any audio movie experience by shaking the chair in sync with the on-screen action. The material used is grade 7000 leather due to its smoothness, extended durability and appearance. USB charging station is also located in the power switch to charge common devices. The arms includes a steady grommet for your FREE black tray table, also hidden-arm storage which opens gently with a gas-pump to reveal plenty room to store any devices, remotes, movies, games, etc. Contrast stitching is included with this chair to compliment the beautiful leather color with a wonderful accent. All recliner manufacturer motors are slightly different. This is for a Seatcraft Home Theater Seat. This process will work on any Seatcraft power recline seat. You can find all of the models that Seatcraft makes on our site 4seating.com.

Hi so my motor still works , the problem is that the power from the motor to power supply snapped off when I reclined ? The cable must have been too tight when I installed it in a different living room . Is there any way you might have an extra connection ? Just need the ones leading from the motor .
Give us a call and let us know which seat you have. We can send a new power cable if your power cable is compatible and broke at a connecting point. Otherwise, if you have a compatible seat we have replacement motors.
Thank you for getting back I will definitely call you guys. The cable I need is the one coming out from the opposite side of the motor that has a splitter and had 3 cables attached to it . I cannot find the let on line anywhere . I would love to send you a picture of where it detached . Is there a number where I can send it ?
Very well done. I’m going to try it out on a neighbor who’s ready to toss out his old chair. Just needs a new motor I think. It doesn’t really power up. Getting juice but don’t work or just for a few seconds and stops..?
Could be the motor or it could be the control panel. If the control panel works for other functions but not the recline, then it's probably the motor. Check the cabling under the chair to make sure everything is connected well.

My power recliner is not working. I tried someone else's remote for the same chair and it did not light. The transformer has a light so I don't think that it is a power problem. I just got a new motor for this model. I plugged it into the power connection and remote connection for a quick test before installing. I did not connect to lumbar or headrest. The remote still did not light up. Do you know if it has to be connected to lumbar and headrest in order for the remote to light and work?

If a chair headrest and recliner don't recline or retract and is stuck in a certain position, would you say the motor needs replacing?
I've already checked cables, they seem ok, and I've unplugged from socket for 30 minutes and plugged back in, still no response and no movement from chair.

How often do they go bad?
my flex steel stopped reclining after about 5 years of casual use; IE: Literally quit working today, worked fine this morning and then not later on.
These motors last for a really long time. Yet there are so many of these motors and recliners out there from over the years that repairs like this can breath life into a non-functioning chair or take a problem that seemed large and simplify it. We wanted to show all customers that this is possible and not that difficult at all, especially if you are handy.
Just received one of these from my boss. This is a hassle just to sit down and recline.

Hello can one purchase the white molded piece that slides on the rail? That piece snapped.
You are better off just replacing the entire motor like in this video. It's actually easier than trying to fix or replace the plastic piece.
