Have been working for over 15 years with Derrol Adam’s youngest daughter, Rebecca and she would only say “ my father was a folk singer “…Sadly she passed away last Saturday.
I first came across Derroll when Ronnie Lane covered Roll On Babe on his first solo album when he left The Faces. Loved him ever since. Columbus Georgia is also known as The Columbus Stockade and in my humble opinion Doc Watson does the very best version on his Memories album.
Saw Derrol in about 1969 at the Folk Club, The Wheatsheaf, Dunstable in Bedfordshire ! 🥸🤠❤ Terry Walker-Spiers was the 'M.C.' and ran the Folk Club where I also saw a folk band who performed at The Totternhoe Cgurch Hall in about 1970. ruclips.net/video/_KqlIAM-14A/видео.html

Es ist das erste Lied auf der Tribute CD, die Hans Thessink und Arlo Guthrie unter dem Titel Banjoman einspielen.
