Taped on location in Hawaii, this audio program provides a rare opportunity to listen in on a profoundly moving dialogue between two of the three "most spiritually influential people alive"* Dr. Wayne W. Dyer and Eckhart Tolle delve into everything from ancient spiritual texts to contemporary pop culture as they tackle questions we all wrestle with, such as Who am I? What is real? and What is the meaning of life? Yet even as they discuss weighty topics such as the economy and addiction, the mood remains graceful, loving, and even humorous.
Through their combined wisdom and perception, Wayne and Eckhart bring you inspired lessons for an exhilarating spiritual awakening. This, according to Eckhart, "consists of relinquishing identification with the conditioned mind through the cultivation of awareness." Although these lessons are full of rich, philosophical insight, they are also very practical and can easily be applied to the individual listener and the world at large. For, as Wayne explains, when we "create a world of extraordinary people who look beyond what they were programmed to become, we impact the entire consciousness of this planet."

Honestly why are people even comparing dyer to tolle like it's some sort of celebrity popularity contest of who the more enlightened teacher is? This is just more ego and mind taking over without you even realizing it.
They're both great in their own ways and different, just like everyone on this planet is.

He missed the point. The closing comments seemed to come from a place of wanting to "perform incredibly and fulfill dreams", but he missed that tolle had reached a point in this life where he was detached from the whole concept of dreams and could sense mostly just want life wanted from him, the from which he ironically came to fulfill his dreams.

I think Dyer didn‘t miss the point, but was just different from Tolle in his stance on life. He didn‘t want to be so extremely detached to be totally beyond a purpose in life. One of his guidelines was „Don‘t die with the music still in you“.

He didn't misunderstand. He communicate it in a different way, and in quoting two people, the second quote used a word that eckhart used, but with a different intention or meaning behind the word.

Wow. Eckhart is inspirational when you doesn't way a word -- his way of taking his time and pausing is a language of its own. But he has this uncanny ability/gift to say something with words that no other person can..
    If that makes sense.

I've always had misgivings about Dr Dyer ..he says "your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new and a great and a wonderful world " Can anyone honestly say they fully understand what he said on this kind of experience when embarking on a creative task? If so,to what degree? The description he gave can be applied to someone smoking pot. Dr Dyer knows a lot but it's mostly on the surface. It's much ABOUT awareness, consciousness, or enlightenment but very little on how to ACTUALLY achieve a greater awareness of reality. I believe the only way to achieve it is with a one on one relation with a good humanistic psychotherapist...no amount of talk or lectures can achieve it.

Dyer looks like he got ready that morning for the millionaire golf club and is probably going to order more wine. Eckhart just brought himself- or rather lack of self/ego.
Dyer talks about monetary success, dreams, and law of attraction (while he cannot sit still) - which is not the point Eckhart was talking about at all. In fact Eckhart's point was the opposite of that- that whatever it is must flow through you without need for outcome or "success."

Wayne Dyer, had the body type that was more comfortable standing, and walking around. Supposedly, the Dalai Llama, Eckert and Dyer in that order were deemed to be the most spiritually influential people on the planet ! Dyer admitted that it was his ego that put him in third.
Still, he helped and gave hope to many people.

I find this amazing, but part of me questions of its true at all.
Did he really purelt write on an impulse? Or did he secretlt realise bringing some old eastern wisdom to the west was a hole in the market?
Although eckhart seems legit to me, he doesnt seem to be full of shit, but still can u rely on ur impulses alone when u also need to pay ur bills?
