Sometimes, watching your videos is like sitting by a creek and watching the water and listening to nature, hypnotic, soothing, relaxing.
For all you newbies like me, this video is a clinic on using the SHAPE tool, using rotation nodes, using SHAPE handles, DUPLICATE, preset NUDGE (among other things).

Brilliant stuff, Doug. Many thanks. In versions of CD that do not have the Smart Drawing Tool, would the Shape Tool be the one to use to do this?

at time 6:43 when you say " I don't know why that's like that" you need to shorten the handles on the lower node, the one you started to move just before you said it. handels control length of line when two cross they create that distortion because the line is longer than logical. great tut btw. User since version three and still learning new tricks like the one I learned here, thanks.

Actually, with it being crescents I would have expected you to use the 3-point curve tool.

Wouldn't be possible to, with the object selected, go for the outline tool, and under "Style" choose solid line. I guess that might depend on whether the original was drawn in CorelDRAW.
