You have a very comfy kitchen. I used to buy pressure cooked chicken years ago (many, many years ago) and I have been searching for someone with a recipe. NOW, I have one. Thank you very much.
hey Patricia - absolutely! I have quite a few fried chicken recipes, this is just one of my recipes. Feel free to adapt your recipe to your taste
I tried this for my first time making fried chicken and it turned out just as I was hoping! Thank you so much for the recipe!
Noiiicceeee
Love this
Smart lady. IVE been trying and watching utube on pressure cook. YOU r #1 to explain the suttle tricks . Thank you!!!
You are so welcome!
Chef Samantha George is super Charismatic. Going to try this recipe today.
This was wonderful. I love the way you explained every single detail along the way. I’m definitely subscribing, saving this video and using my pressure cooker for the first time, thanks to you. Looking forward to more❤❤❤
Just apply every caution. Glad it worked for you as it did for me. It's too cool.

I'll try this recipe 😋
Lemme know
You cracked the code again . Nice job
yes this was great
Yumm!!!
Indeed
“Quicker and faster!” Not to mention speedier and swifter too! 😂
I suspect you're being funny???! Lol
My mom would run cold water over her pressure cooker the exact same way …awesome job, great looking chicken, thanks for sharing ❤
Noob question: what is the purpose of doing this?
@@markconroy5844 if your asking about the cold water, it’s too make the pressure drop quickly, so you can open the pressure cooker without the fear of getting burned from the steam, this method should only be used on non electrical pressure cookers.
Great conversation
Still my favorite ❤️!
I'm back on RUclips after a good little break Jamal - *thanks for the positive support!!!*
New Subscriber here. I really didn’t think this was possible. I have 2 electric pressure cookers and my stove top pressure cooker (I haven’t even used yet…a little intimidated for sure, lol). Your video is heaven sent for real. I will be coming back to this video. Thank you.
Thanks for subbing! Hug! Yea I'm a daredevil that way. Haha don't like to be told I can do something without explanation. So I tried it. 😆
Use the gas top one don't use the electric ones for heating oil😊
Great video though. Takes the mystery out of deep frying in the pressure cooker.
Thanks for the comment
I have tried this before in my Ninja. However, I didn’t use enough oil. Second time lucky following your instructions.
Which ninja do you have?
Hey thanks for the video. I made it and it was awesome(will make again regardless) but not kfc moist and tender. Do you vent your pressure cooker while frying the chicken? Or do you let the vent do its thing?
The type of pressure cooker I use has a simple open and close vent. I would not fry without venting as it's highly risky
Hello,
Thank you so much for doing this video.. I had been contemplating buying PRESSURE FRYER for my home. While knowing this would be better for when I’m frying for about 30 people, I wanted to know how to get the same results for party wings. Can you tell me what time is best for frying party wings?
Thanks in advance
I thinkthe wings would take a shorter time. Best way to know for sure is to test a batches. Fry it for 3 mins, then , 5 mins and compare doneness.
But I wouldn't recommend frying that many in a small pressure cooker. The last thing you want is to overload it and potentially make it explode. To fry 30 wings at the same time try going for a 12 quart pressure cooker or bigger. Something like this amzn.to/3T7zKWn
Oil shouldn't be more than halfway up

I was wondering if you could use a standard PC for deep frying. Did you damage the gasket or anything else as others have mentioned? Does it still work well for PC with water?
Yep still works fine.
But want to point out that not every pressure cooker can handle it - so please check your manual first.
All stovetop pressure cooker manuals will say to NOT use the pc for pressure frying (liability concerns). The best pc for frying should use a SILICONE gasket. Avoid those with a RUBBER gasket.
The color and texture of your chicken looks better than most.
Magic of pressure cooker
@@SamsFoodChronicles That's what I use too, it does a great job of cooking the chicken without destroying the flavor in the coating.
I was always told to never use oil in a pressure cooker...only water?
Not sure about that absolute. As you see I've done it with no issue. Maybe it's an extreme precaution to say "NEVER USE OIL" but read your manual. Some manuals will tell you not to use for oil frying.
This recipe and video is mainly for entertainment and experimental purposes.
You can if the pressure cooker has a solid locking mechanism and has an over-pressure safety release valve. I use a lower drop temperature and a lower cook temperature with a longer cook time, but my cook time can vary depending on how many pieces I'm putting in the fryer at the same time.
A RUclips cooking show where you help "women" create sensational flavors, you say? Mind if a few of us guys take a gander?
😂😂
Hahaha. Of course
Is it safe to fry in a pressure cooker.
Well - not all pressure cookers. Check yours first. But mine is safe yes. But you have to follow the safety parameters. I didn't overload with oil, I kept it about 1/3 of the height of the pot, I listened to ensure not too much pressure was building up and I maintained proper heat. I also didn't overcrowd.
Can I use my 4qt mirromatic pressure cooker to fry chicken legs?
Let me look up that pressure cooker and get back to you
Okay. So 4 quarts is very small. I would say go bigger. And I looked at the mirromatic brand and they tend to use aluminum. I would not try it in an aluminum pot. Might be too risky. Presto is my favorite affordable pressure cooker to date so I would start at 6 quarts and go up about 1/3 with oil and not a lot of chicken all at once. Try this presto amzn.to/44lxbDX
What is pimento powder? Is that like paprika?
Oh I got the pimento powder is the powder you get from grounding pimento seeds. You can find pimento in any Caribbean supermarket I believe. It's a prominent flavour in jerk marinades
All spice
Yes
Why they keep saying pressure cooking fried chicken will not be hot enough and that the pressure cooker is a time bomb. That chicken looks so good!!!! Can I use the pressure cooker that does not go on the stove? Ninja Foodie???😳😊😊 that chicken looks just like KFC original recipe!!!😋😋😋
Definitely would not recommend trying in the electric ones. I'm not sure if there's any other chef who has tried it but I get to understand that most of the electric ones do not have a vent which can cause explosion
. I like You😊😊😊😊 I need to buy a stove pressure cooker or stop frying chicken😂😂😂
Lol yes feel free to buy my recommendations as it helps me. I'm building a career here and would love your help!

SALAM...MEM ..YOU HAVE NOT SHOWN TEMPERATURE....WHATS THE BENEFIT.....THANK YOU SO SO MUCH
It is there
Sure she did, her drop-temp is 375 F.
well, well, well....
Hate to see a hatchett meal!
When trumps back in it,will be less expensive too!
I mean. How????
Why does Trump have to enter the picture? And How exactly is Trump being in power going to lower the cost of making your own fried chicken at home?
Hahahaha
@@SamsFoodChronicles I mean seriously lol
Food hot. Presenter hotter 😅
I am a man my pronouns are he, him, etc., and cook too so this show is not just for women
Hahaha my bad. I cook for all! 😁😆
no to the veggie oil ever
No prob! It's gonna be expensive to use avocado oil
should warn people, that it could be quite dangerous to boil oil in a pressure cooker!
This is for demonstration purposes!
I've been frying chicken in a pressure cooker for years and I even bang the pressure fryer on the element and shake it to ensure the pieces don't stick together. Never had a problem. It all depends on how solid the locking mechanism is on the cooker, as well as a backup safety pressure valve in case the dead-weight pressure regulator gets clogged.
5 minutes? I think you'll be eating deep-fried salmonella chicken... YUMMY!!! 😃
Hahaha test for yourself and see. The point of the pressure cooker is to cook things in warp speed!!! It's on video. Did you watch it?
Yep... watched the video. But still, KFC fry/pressure cooks chicken at 275 8 minutes, then 350 to get that golden crust for 6 minutes. I suppose a little pink in the middle isn't that big a deal... 🍗
These were fully cooked. Internal temperature at well done. Bones were almost super soft. They were cooked in a small batch at 350.
@@glenwhite4443 You've got it backwards; KFC starts at a higher drop-temperature and then lowers the temperature during the cook cycle.
No, it is not safe to use a pressure cooker for oil frying. Oil frying requires high temperatures that can exceed the boiling point of water. A pressure cooker is designed to cook food in water-based liquids under high pressure. If you try to oil fry in a pressure cooker, you risk damaging the cooker, causing an explosion, or starting a fire. You also will not get good results, as the food will become soggy and greasy from the moisture released by the pressure cooker.
Have you done it?
Interesting question
It’s a million people on RUclips frying chicken in pressure cookers, I’ve seen wayyyyy too many … just look for yourself.
@@Hombre_AstutoI cooked my chicken the same way, it was juicy and moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside and it was fully done to the 🍗 bone 😋
You're absolutely right my mega Chef pressure cooker will explode 🤯 that's why I use my deep fryer.. All she did was deep fry the chicken. There was no pressure 😂 😂 😂 😂
There are too many ingredients which is not necessary.. for chicken you just need to leave it in butter milk overnight or 2-3 hours and for the flour you just need salt black pepper and Paprika. And use sunflower oil or rapeseed oil. That is it.
Thanks. You can do it however you like. 👌
Just because you’re simple minded does not mean that’s right her recipe looks wonderful. granted when I make my fried chicken, I do marinate it in buttermilk overnight, but I do season the flower with a great variety of seasonings and baking powder like she did.
@@dkastil if you want to waste your money you are welcome to do it that way. İt is not being simple minded, i am giving advise with 21 years of experience in the professional kitchen.
Everyone has their own methods for cooking and taste. You saying too many ingredients is your opinion. Doesn't mean right or wrong, but don't criticize someone from doing it differently from what you do. I've been cooking since I was 7 yrs old, I'm 53 yrs old and experimenting with different flavors and spices make for an excellent cook/chef. There are no limits to how food is prepared and you should not place them on anyone creating with their own methods and recipes. If it's good, consistent, and is enjoyed by all who consume it, that's all that matters. It's not your money being spent so don't worry about it.
@@user-jz2jo4ut8s yes but in the end you deep frying it so it doesn't make sense, if you do pan saute this ingredients you put will give flavor but when you deep fry it, won't. Make a sauce afterwards with all that no problems but before frying, come on no legit chef will do that. Simplicity is the best way in cooking. E.g Italian greek Turkish food , simple and nice.
NOT FINGER LICKING GOOD
Hahaha
