    Here are the key takeaways:
    - Begin investing in a flexi-cap fund for diversification while being conservative.
    - For investors with risk tolerance, one multi-cap fund suffices for investments up to ₹25,000. Invest in additional multi-cap funds at ₹5 lakh and ₹25 lakh thresholds.
    - Flexi-cap managers invest freely, while multi-cap managers must allocate 25% to each cap size, boosting long-term returns with mid and small-cap allocation.
    - To optimise returns, most investors should graduate from investing in a flexi cap to a multi cap.
    - If you are familiar with the equity market's volatility, consider investing directly in large, mid, and small caps.
    - Invest in up to 5 funds for diversification without the costs of managing an index-like portfolio

    Invest 33% in nifty 50, 33% in nifty next 50 and 33% in midcap 150 index. Rebalance annually. No need of any other flexicap or multicap fund.

    Multicap might look attractive but reality is different. They actually will only perform when entire market caps are rising. For the risk it is better to split the amount into a flexi + small cap or largemidcap+ small cap.

      Flexi cap
      Multi cap
      Aggressive hybrid
      Value fund
      Small cap fund
      This strategy is working well for me.

      Multicap is better than flexi cap, flexi cap invests more in the large cap stocks while multicap provides better diversification and it is more active.

      @@mb-hb1fryou can always put money into small and Midcaps that will generate more wealth and flexi to preserve wealth. Multicap is very volatile to be the only fund

    Unfortunately many multicaps are now having even less then 12-13% allocation, so they may not be following SEBI guidelines and mandate !!

    • @ravipro
      @ravipro 2 месяца назад +1

      Exactly, see VR portfolio of Nippon Multicap, ICICI Multicap etc. Small cap allocation is less than 25%

    • @manojsuri007
      @manojsuri007 2 месяца назад

      @@raviprovalue research classification is different to that of sebi. Funds that are classified as small caps by sebi are actually small and mid cap allocated in value research. For eg.. SBI small cap fund which invests 80 percent in small caps as claimed by amc but in value research it is classified as 55 percent mid caps and 45 percent small caps. That is because value research considers funds that comes under 70-90 percent market universe come under mid caps.
