- [10/30/23] i'm feeling nostalgic for my baby today so i decided to add links to all the parts i could find (or just the channel if they're unavailable). it should have been like this from the beginning but ig i forgor 💀. unfortunately it can be hard to find specific animators with just a discreet username to go off (especially if it's been awhile and the username is outdated). speaking of usernames they're now all up to date with the current username of every participant!

it's finally here! thank you to all of the talented participants who made this simple idea of mine into something absolutely incredible! i'm also grateful for those who stayed along for the journey! plus special thanks to OFUKITTY who helped finish up by editing the end credits for me! ❤️ (istg my editor hates when i'm happy, feeds off my suffering, OR BOTH.)

in the actual series perchpaw dosen't have a huge role. he's appledusk's apprentice who's kidnapped by mapleshade to lure out her targets. his dialog is short and his "screentime" is limited but he does do something impressive that makes him stand out... he fatality injuries mapleshade, who is objectively one of the most evil and most popular cats in the entire series, and perchpaw was the one who caused her death! he's an interesting little dude so i gave him more of a role in this very simple au.
after witnessing mapleshade's exile from riverclan perchpaw feels as though she was treated unfairly. later on as he's being held hostage he recognizes who his kidnapper is. he's already been badly injured by her so instead of trying to fight his way out he tries reasoning with her better nature before it's too late.

If only Perchpaw had more lines. I love this MAP because of the important role he has. Not only he kills the cat that half of the fandom adores, but in this AU, he tries to save his kidnapper, along with his family.

Why does cass's voice work so perfectly for mapleshade though?
I love that you actually got Appledusk’s death right; most just make Mapleshade’s go right at him, but she’s more infuriated at Reedshine. Nice work to to everyone that participated!

This song fits them perfectly, great idea! I like the designs. And the animations are all just so smooth! Amazing job everyone. I like that voice on Mapleshade it's close to how I imagine her to sound.

@@_The_Lizard_King yes I read the novella and I know she did bad ghings but Appledusk really deserved it, he blamed her for his kit's death, found himself a new mate and left her with nothing actually, there 2 types of people, those who love her and those who hate her uvu

She is a decent villain, but I don't like how she constantly plays the victim, and always reminds the reader of her sob story, even though she got her kits killed, and killed innocent cats, blaming them for the death of her kits. Grief didn't make her that way, she has always been a terrible person (cat). A good villain knows their actions are wrong, and don't always play victim. Mapleshade fans seem to forget that the kits were Appledusk's too. He was also grieving. "Her actions are justifiable" no, hun. She literally killed innocent cats because she's too petty to take responsibility for her mistakes. The book is in Mapleshade's perspective, of course she isn't gonna admit she screwed up, that's because she's a villain, and a bad one at that (in her novella) she planned on using her kits to make appledusk "hers". Appledusk was defending his PREGNANT mate. He had a right to blame mapleshade, because she literally got her kits killed. Are you saying, if someone blames you for something you did, you would kill them? Or that they deserve to die?,,

i feel bad for maple shade, she fell in love with appledusk but appledusk liked reedshine which heartbroke maple shade , then raven wing revealed she like another warrior from a different clan , then her clan betrayed her , then frecklewish didn’t help her with her kits which made her kits drown and then , she only killed the people because now she didn’t know what to do and killed the people that betrayed her she was just heartbroken just like ash fur
This is what would happen IF maple shade didn’t die: |Maple shade dodged perch paw’s attacked causing the young app to crash into the ground. With anger the she grabbed the scruff of the app and threw him into the ground pinned his head with a paw. Maple shade unsheathed her claw’s she raised a paw and clawed the young app’s neck. She’d approached apple’s mate(lol I don’t know her name :,> ) maple leaped onto the she grabbing them by the neck. She threw the she-cat onto on the ground staring at them with a nasty glare, apple’s mate struggled to get up. Maple shade on the other hand pinned the she-cat and raised a paw. Clawing the she’s neck, maple shade glare at the dead app and she-cat with victory. Hearing other clan cat’s near she ran off leaving the three dead body’s on the ground,| (da end :> )
Even though Mapleshade is a warrior, and she's successful in killing three cats... she had ultimately no chance of defeating three at once. She would've died to the claws of one of them eventually, she's not invincible. That's why I like how the book ends, she gets a taste of her own medicine. No hate though, just an observation.
