Love these little tutes. I always get some little tip out of them I didn't know before, even if it's not the main subject of the video.

Lol - I wish I had a way to identify all of those and put them into their own video :)

Brilliant! As usual, that was a really clear demo and accessible to people like me who are in the early stages of their journey with Blender. Thanks.

Very cool! One suggestion is that you can get real terrain data, such as by using an add-on like Blender-OSM, to generate these for real-world locations. A few years ago I made little 3d printed models of the areas my parents grew up in as a gift for them, and they really got a kick out of it; my process at the time involved downloading raw Digital Elevation Models and a lot of processing with things like Meshlab and custom python scripts, so this kind of easy topo slicing is very welcome.
EDIT: It turns out that Blender-OSM can both load a terrain mesh and the satellite photos that go on it, and you can then apply that texture to the plane doing the slices. (In Solidify, you may want to make the rim a different material for contrast/neatness.)

It's funny how they called the new boolean solver EXACT while the old one, FAST, works better in many situations. Not all situations, of course. Often Exact will be better, but you can't really tell till you try both :)
