Last story, the judge should have overruled the divorce settlement, stripped OP's mom of everything she was awarded and given it to OP's dad since she was failing to abide by her responsibilities.

Problem here is, the divorce is always in favor of women and dont forget the government also gets its share of the deal.
Like most laws women dont need to be responsible, accountable or have a common human sense the government will deal on her demand to get her filled with money and ripp off the husband.

Child support should never be left to the discretion of the parent. That money should be controlled and monitored so that it's only spent on necessities for the children (certain percentage for rent/mortgage as needed, food, clothes, etc.). There are far too many stories of parents abusing that money as a "paycheck".

Yeah but the courts ain’t always better. When my mother divorce my dad the courthouse clerks were telling my mom all sorts of things she could do to get the judge to grant her higher payments, then after she refused to do it the courthouse clerks ended up stealing half the money my dad was sending in(this was back in ‘93 and I was told back then when child support was agreed upon in court it went through the courts so there was official record it was being paid). Dad was paying $1,400 a month, mom was only receiving $700. After 6 months she threatened to not let him see me anymore if he didn’t pay her what he owed her, and he showed her the receipts saying he was all caught up. They ended up going to the courthouse and mom was given a check from the state for the rest of the child support and then she canceled the child support agreement through the state and my dad just started paying her $1000 a month with a verbal agreement, he was losing $400 less per month and she was receiving $300 more per month so they were both happy. They never found out what happened with the clerk.

Boat revenge is so satisfying. I had an older neighbour (he was my old guy). When he moved in he was in a common law relationship with a real piece of work. Neighbour bought a boat (older cabin cruiser maybe 24 feet long) which he got tuned up and working. Docking fees got too much so he had it on blocks in his driveway. Then the witch leaves and he's all alone. Several years later he died. I helped his daughters, both from faraway cities, clean out the junk in his house and search for important documents like the will (which left everything to his daughters). The daughters then hired me to do repairs and minor renovations to get the house ready for market.
After about a month or so the witch starts pestering the older daughter claiming a half interest in the boat, which by this point has been sitting in the driveway for about a decade. Witch wanted her cut on a now dilapidated boat with little value in a market glutted with vessels of even better quality and wanted it right now. Daughter makes some noncommittal noises because she doesn't know what the arrangement was and she's going through the hell of settling an estate from 800 miles away. Then she finds it - the magic piece of paper. She calls up the witch and in the sweetest 'f you' voice says, "Oh, hello, Witch. I just found the papers on the boat and it turns out it's your name only! You have ten days to get it off the property."
Witch hired a boat mover and took it away, saving the daughters the trouble of doing it. I'm pretty sure the movers and whatever storage she arranged rapidly exceeded the value of the boat. The boat revenge on a money grubbing ex was sweet all around. Moral: be careful what you wish for - you just may get it.

I would hate for there to be an argument over my little boat. It's been in the family since 1970. Actually it's a toss up between my nephew and my grandson. With my daughters as mediator. The only condition that can only be sold to a family member.

I was the president of our PTA back in the last 80’s to mid- 90’s. We had a family of 2 girls whose parents were divorced. The dad was a real piece of work. So, Mom got smart and got a checking account that she put all of the child support in to.
The checks even said “child support account for “kid’s names”. She paid for everything with those checks (book fair, school tees, lunches). If she bought them McD’s, for example, with cash, she saved the receipts and then paid herself back, one half of the cost. That made the sperm donor really unhappy. She saved for their education. The sperm donor got a copy of the financials every single month. I mean, if she bought them a piece of gum for five cents she kept that receipt.
She did this until they were 18 years old. They divorced when the youngest was probably 2 (give or take). The judge would laugh him out of court every time he tried to get the child support lessened because she was using it to benefit herself and not the children. She was brilliant. Kudos to her.
Moral: NEVER mess with a mom who has truly righteous anger towards you. It won’t work out well. 🤭🤭🤭

My ex only paid child support for about a year after the divorce. Then, he split. I did all I could to try to nail him for a few months. Then, I realized that, with him gone, the children were just as happy. They weren't being manipulated by him to get even with me. He had done some really crappy things that hurt them in an effort to diss me, like keeping them longer for visitation causing them to miss events they wanted to attend. I didn't have to deal with his demands and irregularities. It was worth losing that support. Never got another penny! LOL
The children are fine. They're grown and happy!

And sometimes the courts help them! When my mom divorced my dad the courts told her if she quit her job not only would the state pay her more than she was making by working but they’d give her higher child support payments, too! And that was even with the reason for the divorce being my mom was cheating on my dad

@@SesshouFan22 WHAT?!! Appeal, and go to the press. Spread the word that said judge supports dead-beats, crime, and welfare system abuse. Presuming said judge gets elected (and not appointed), reelection time is going to be... tense. And if the judge IS appointed, the politiicians involved are going to have egg on their faces, and they're going to be eager to impeach if they want to win their own reelection.

As a mother, I FIRMLY Believe that people receiving child support should be REQUIRED to produce REAL receipts EVERY👏🏿STINKIN'👏🏻MONTH 👏🏾to show that the funds Provided for the children are USED FOR👏🏽THE👏🏻CHILDREN 👏🏾‼️
This is NOT a payday. Child Support is to ensure that the CHILDREN are properly cared for. Get a job for your gym, nails, barber/salon, weekend outings *that includes sitters- YOUR CHOICE to go out*, and PERSONAL WANTS.
      FIGHT ME.

Second story. The woman had borderline personality disorder and was a narcissist. She didn't suffer with emotional problems, her family and everyone she knew suffered. She figured she was fine and all her victims were suckers for being so easy to manipulate. Psychos don't suffer, everyone else does.

The last story is precisely the reason that all child support payment should be given on a debit card so that it can be kept track of if this parent getting the child support is actually spending the money on the child or on themselves.

I have an ex like the one in the last story---her mother paid for a good lawyer, and the court granted her $160 a week child support out of my $275 (gross) salary. Then she moved from Florida to Ohio with her new boyfriend, and told my kids that I didn't care about them because I wouldn't come visit them.

These stories are funny... My dad walked out on us, two younger brothers and I, when I was 6 in 1968. He never paid a dime in child support and even kicked us out of the home he built to raise us in the first place so he could move in his secretary... new wife and her goblins later... but we NEVER lacked for the necessities in life, food, cloths, a roof over our heads, and even the occasional cool toy on a B-day or Christmas. I watched my Mom work her ass off, sometimes working three different jobs at the same time in a society that looked down on single mothers. These single moms today complaining about how hard it is to raise children make me sick, and the ones who screw over their own children should be dealt with severely.
