Still a great tablet in 2020- works flawlessly and faster than some newly released devices. No updates but for email, web browsing and RUclips that screen is still fantastic.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! So glad I found you! I have had my Galaxy 2014 for about 2 months. I can get around doing simple tasks but I am totally lost with the advanced technology of the Galaxy 2014. Your guidance will be a lifesaver. Let me say that you have a great voice! It's professional, calming and easy on the ears! You should use your voice professionally like TV or radio! I look forward to learning about my tablet through your instructional videos. Thanks again for being there for me as a beginner.
Mine, The LTE version just now, 2 or 3 weeks ago, showed the battery swell. incredible performance. And i bought it at launch. Ps: I don't care of the size of a note tablet, or Samsung new line with spen, as a phone. I always use a Bluetooth Headset. Been using for a while already the Motorola Whisper. Prob Ill mention this again in the some of the new uploads from TheDigitalDigest 😎
Best hardware reviewer I've seen in a LONG time. A product review that concentrates on functional use of the device - excellent. Looks like a damn good tablet too. Just jumped to the top of my list!
I have just bought the new Note 10.1 as my Christmas present to myself. I love technology but am an old man and want to be taught how to use it! So I find Samsung really disappointing (along with most others I confess) at this. So you your 25 minute tutorial was the most helpful thing I have found and probably saved my Note experience!
Own one. Initially I thought it was great. After a few months, I would never by another Samsung Tablet. The plastic is cheap, absolutely no updates and still on the old Android version. The extra Samsung features kind of work. At first the drawing and taking notes was great. Now pen has issues and bit of lag. I did complete wipe and restore. Then just last week. I turned the thing on. Every other black light LED was DIM. I tried to power cycle it, screen was just dark. I pull the back off to find the ribbon to the screen came loose. I just got a cheap Cube i7 stylus tablet running Win10 for $300 used. I love it, so much better then the Android for work stuff. Have to say for cheap Chinese tablet, it seems to have better build Quality. Wacom Pens works great. With Windows it's even better. Though I did have some issues with Paint Shop Pro. With 4 GB of ram, kind of expected that. For games this tablet completely exceeded my expectations. Plays newer games at modest settings with decent Frame rates. Native support for XB1 controller. PC gaming on the go. I just can't wait for next years Win10 Tablets, they are going to better then the consoles. This tablet is already between a Xbox 360 and Xbox One. I'm completely done with Android and Samsung and I just can't recommend this product.
This was bought to replace an old Lenovo tablet which was essentially too sluggish to cope with modern websites. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxz4qYZoyAOb_hq_UbaKI6AsZX0FnoFm-U This tablet is fast, has a very clear display with built in optional eye comfort shield, great sound with Dolby Atmos, split screen option and numerous tweaks that I've not yet explored. I've plugged a wireless receiver into the i/o socket to connect a mouse if I need it and a bluetooth keyboard works fine - unlike the Lenevo which somehow would often garble the input. Battery life seems good. In short I'm very pleased with it
Thank you TheDigitalDigest for your very comprehensive and ease of the review. I had been on the border for quite some time. Having the older version of iPad 2 as well as the Samsung Tab 7.7 with Amolead (sp) screen display which is gorgeous, it bold down to the new Samsung Tab S 10.5 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition. Between your review and Sakitech, I couldn't resist. Can't wait for the Note to arrive! Thanks much! W
This tablet is awesome. Had now for two months. I use it for videos while work out, email, web, youtube, and just started using snote/pen. I went for 32 gig version and added 32 gig microsd. Dual window and spend window is great. I keep very detailed trading journals, adding voice, a noted captures and converting my terrible hand writing to some I can search and read much later. I have two I pads at home, and I'm 100 converted. Be honest, apple coolness does nothing for me. I focus on value and function and price. Mix this with Amazon app and prime and ups it has been my shopping mall. For what it is worth.
Hey - Great vid thanks - Just got my new Note today , upgrading from the tab2 7.0 and wow I am impressed with the speed and clarity of it and so glad you pointed all the things it can do - wish I could slow (the video) down though :) . Might have to watch it a few times to let it sink in ; but appreciate you taking the time and I'll definitely be checking out your other vids - Cheers
where are you no reviews? can you please review Ipad pro 9.7 and a best case for it. last time i bought samsung galaxy note 10.1 2014 after viewing your review. Your review are the best.
Top-notch multitasking(I can do 4 to 6 apps at the same time without having a single frame drop bcos of S pen windows), S-pen features, great hardware and powerful battery to back this up,IR blaster(which I find it really useful bcos I can control the TV without touching the remote while web surfing or view RUclips, thanks to both IR blaster and mylti-tasking),great display, good camera with flash and loud and clear speakers really makes this Android tablet stand out from the crowd. I don't have to think twice to choose this over ipad air because though it is marginally heavier and thicker it is packed with superior power and completely new features inside, the only thing Is the price,it dug a deep hole in my pocket though it is wifi only ver. P600 32GB costed me around AUD 650 T_T. Other than that is is all good. P.S-Google now in 4.3 is really handy as I can command like Ok Google without tapping the mic button, but I still need to unlock the screen, not like 4.4 yet. Still it is great,
Thanks for you in-depth reviews or I could Say "tutorials" of this great tablet ! I Just got mine last week and your Various Videos have made me Know the features faster- Samsung makes great products but they need to promo just How Much they Can do a lot better. I wrote this Comment Using the S Pen ! This blows the AIR away!
well it is and obviously Sammy is trying to top apple in tablet area also I guess,as a user I am quite ok with play store games and apps since I can get any games I want for now, with this beastly tablets, I think they will keep on shining in tech industry for sure. Cheers!
Great video!. I've noticed that productivity tools for s note are different in this tablet.Do you Know how to use other options appart from Drawing Mode, Text Mode & Eraser Mode?
Really great video! Thank you for posting it. It really helped me get a grasp of how to use the S-Pen on my new tablet. Question: how do you turn on palm rejection?
In your SNote review ... can you show how it works while writing a full page? I am interested in mainly whether the tablet rejects palm inputs on the hardware buttons in the landscape mode or you cant rest your hand on the tablet in landscape? Also, how does it work in portrait mode?
Love your videos. You helped me in my decision to purchase this tablet. Which I looove by the way. My question is how do I solve equations using the action memo? Also how do I download Adobe Flash on my tablet?
But it's not as good as ipad, because it has plastic on the bag and it doesn't come with a half-eatten apple...Android companies are going the wrong way with their products. They don't need to be innovative or smart. They just need to give you a bag of apples with each purchase...*Troll mode off*. Looks amazing. Amazing :)
Thank you Digest Digest for an indepth reveiw of SGN 10.1 '14 ed.'s SPEN. It has a cumberson array of features. I need all the tutorials that I can get. I plan on using this tablet for work, business, church, and recreational purpposes. Preachers don't wait anymore for one to get to the text. They jump right in. If you're taking notes, you have to be ready or miss out on noting something important.
i don't think so. i bought it 2 month on:####amzn.to/1twrTyh . price $549.00 + free shipping. PROS: *+++ Noticeable performance improvement with Snapdragon 800 * +++Built-in Phone Modem (Accepts normal Phone SIM) * --- Supports 1900 Mhz Band for US 3G/4G Data * Excellent 2560x1600 (WQXGA) LCD * ---Solid high-end specs * Light weight and portable (~1.2lb) * ---Finally a tablet good enough to keep * Descent sounding speakers (for a tablet) * ---Great battery life, even on 3G/4G * MicroSD Card Slot * ---Textured back feels nice to hold * Unlocked!

Good review. Like I said, the specs are pretty crazy! Hello i was wondering if anyone could tell me if this tablet or any other galaxy tab also has the function of using it to do school essays and then print them, similar to programs like "word" which is the one thats for windows? And where could i find it,anyone? Please and thank u
Good job with the review. However you skipped the templates part. I'm an interpreter, so I'm interested in using a tablet in jotting down interpreter's notes and it is supposed to be in a portrate orientation. You would probably be surprised to learn that I didn't get that info even at the Samsung dealership! It's only after extensive online reading and a frame in your review that I got the idea: 9 notebooks and 18 templates (5 landscape and 13 portrate).
Another differences - Tab S has bigger screen, and the battery can last longer 600 min, instead of 540 for the Note... I also noticed - Tab is thinner 6,6 mm vs 7,6 mm.
This is a fantastic review! Quick question: How good is the palm protection? Because I would write with my palm touching the screen. Does it work well?
Hello & thank you for the review. I'd like to ask, if there are any managerial tools for use of S Pen. As example, if there can be some categorization per meetings, assignmment of tasks, filtering as per selected parameters (pilot for example), sending filtered list to the person as attchment in mail, etc. Thank you in advance for any hint!
Thank you ¡ really help me to understand how to proceed from the begining. by the way do you have any tutor about how to deal with SNote?, Thank you again.
asaadbokhari i think you should always wait for the new addition of a product! I wanted a galaxy 5 but wait 5 months for the 6 and the 6 sucked and so i ended up getting the note 4 and cant be happier
Great review, as always. This tablet looks amazing and I've now decided to buy one. But I have some thoughts about the processor, which one is the better? The Oxynos octa core in the wifi version, or the qualcomm snapdragon 800 quadcore in the 3G/4G version? Which one has the best gaming/multitasking performance ? Which one prolongs the battery life better? Sorry for my english, it's not my native language, obviously.
Why do you say $550? Its about $350 now. Is that because the note pro came out? Like i bought the 8.0 at $399 and now its $209 do they go down because new products come out? Ps great video
hey.! nice review by the way. one thing, you know when you write on a regular notebook your hand rests on the notebook. when you take the pen out can you still use your hand or fingers on the tablet.? or is the a button that says s pen only.?
this is what i would like to know. I do alot of drawings and i wanted a tablet for quick drawings. But i wanted to know if when using the pen, when you are drawing and your hand is touching the screen does the screen detect your hand or just the pen?? edit. rewatched 18:27 answered my question
Hi i have a question, im planning to buy the Note 10.1 however this one just came out and i don't know how much better is this one from the last one, i know the air command is not on the previous note 10.1, however what about those apps and multitasking? is it worth going for this one? cuz to be honest it is way more affordable for me the previous note, i'd buy this one only if it's waaaaaay better than the last one, please if any1 has it tell me what u think thanks!
Mahesh Murali the native file manager gives you the ability to drag and drop between the native picture, video, email, browser etc app. However I use ES Explore instead to manage my file system because of its vast assortment of features
When I go into S Note the screen brightness goes full blast. All of my settings are correct and I even had Samsung check my settings via their live screen share app. Do you have any ideas on how to stop this? I literally just got the tablet today mainly for the S Notes app for school, but it's too bright and hurts my eyes to look at it.
HEHEHEHE.......LOL!........*-Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition-* is sold with the cheapest price on amzn.to/1mSLB7a. Visit to own this guy. Good opportuni ty for everyone
I have a question about the note taking feature. I'm a college student and I think this tablet is perfect for me. The only concern I have is if I can rest my hand on the screen while taking notes and it won't affect the note taking. I normally rest my hand on the paper notebook when I take notes and was wondering if that was something I could do with this tablet? If not I will adjust. I couldn't tell if that's what the s-pen only feature was for.
Yes you can, It has a the "Palm Rejection" feature so even if your entire hand is resting on the tablet it will only focus on the S-pen. I absolutely love this tablet and I don't even have a real use for the S-Pen. it will be perfect for someone like you will use the S-Pen to its limit.
Great vid! Its such shame that they got rid of the front facing speakers. I bought both the old one and new version of this. Just thinking about which one I should return. Any advice? Im not a big gamer or what you will call a power user, just browse, stream media and email. Have a note 3 as well.
Still a great tablet in 2020- works flawlessly and faster than some newly released devices. No updates but for email, web browsing and RUclips that screen is still fantastic.
Watching this in 2020 remembering the good old days at university
Bro same!

Great job... Thank you for taking the time to present this video... I had no idea what this note can do..
Brilliant review... Just what I needed, as I continue to grow my knowledge of this outstanding tablet....
Where do i get that green s note widget on home screen?? I accidently deleted it. Pls help

Really great video! Thank you for posting it. It really helped me get a grasp of how to use the S-Pen on my new tablet. Question: how do you turn on palm rejection?
I believe the price is well worth it. The IPad starts off at $499.00, and this tablet has more to offer.
In your SNote review ... can you show how it works while writing a full page? I am interested in mainly whether the tablet rejects palm inputs on the hardware buttons in the landscape mode or you cant rest your hand on the tablet in landscape? Also, how does it work in portrait mode?

Do not worshiping Apple, you must take time to navigate on Google apps, Android is now the most famous... Will let Apple down..
My favorite review.
Hi. Do you know which app we can use to write on pdf document?
Thanks for the update great vid I use a 10.1 2014 but hoped you would include something on Folders, new notebooks and Syncing
buying this before Fall 2014 class. there is going to be learning curve
I Seriously doubt the second point!! Ur thoughts ***** ?
suganya arumugam ***** won't get your messages don't worry

I think bestbuy actually offers a class of some sort via the Samsung experience kiosk in store.

Awesome Thank you
Ordered one up for Christmas ! Very ordered and logical reviewer...
First of all: Nice review. Thank you.
I have a few questions, if I may:
Can you hand-write everything you want and transform it all later to text?
What about the formula recognition? Is it accurate?
And most importantly: What is the file extension used to save these files? Are there more than one possibility? One of my main objectives is to have and editable text also on the PC.
Thanks again
Does the hand disturb the pen while writing. For example, S pen and hand together touch the screen?
no_ it recognises the difference between palm and pen and ignores the larger presence of your hand
u only used the S note for about one minute :(
Thank you excellent demo.
Great review video! I learnt alot from you! Thanks!
Great tutorial, Thanks
do you use a screen protector or think it detracts on s-pen or interferes especially the tempered glass covers?thanks
can you please write back? I was wondering if there is any keyboard case for this tablet?
I have that exact same samsung for a year I think or less but I just noticed the stylus. Thank You SO MUCH!!!
You helped me a lot sir. Great video
thank you just got mind even though i have the galaxy note edge the tab 10.1 sets the ton. this was very detailed one lov
Excellent Demo. Thanks!
I just bought it can wait to put my hand on it
Love mine...and the note 3 phone, both very useful tools for business.

Good review.
Like I said, the specs are pretty crazy!
BUT
the map example: wished you could write directly on the map...
it would also be nice to be able to use your pen for certain things (writing mostly), and your fingers for most other things.
Questions:
Can you extend the desktop to a second display with touchscreen capability?
If you have to fill out a form for example, can you write directly in the boxes of the form?
Can you run a different OS than Android on it?
Thanks.
Thank you for this - I am looking to buy this machine but I didn't know too much about the stylus/s pen . . . I think this has made up my mind :)
Hello i was wondering if anyone could tell me if this tablet or any other galaxy tab also has the function of using it to do school essays and then print them, similar to programs like "word" which is the one thats for windows? And where could i find it,anyone? Please and thank u
We love our Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. The iPad now sits gathering dust.
Great, thorough video! I cannot wait to get my new Note Pro 12.2.
Great review!
Really helpful review!
Watching from my note 8
Good job with the review. However you skipped the templates part. I'm an interpreter, so I'm interested in using a tablet in jotting down interpreter's notes and it is supposed to be in a portrate orientation. You would probably be surprised to learn that I didn't get that info even at the Samsung dealership! It's only after extensive online reading and a frame in your review that I got the idea: 9 notebooks and 18 templates (5 landscape and 13 portrate).
Great tutorial, thank you!
That was very helpful being that I just got mine 2 days ago. Thanks
2023 and the tab series lives on, the note now part of the s series.
I am a teacher. I want to use my Note 10.1 2014 to record voice and video as I am using S Note and then upload it for my students. Can I do that?
Another differences - Tab S has bigger screen, and the battery can last longer 600 min, instead of 540 for the Note... I also noticed - Tab is thinner 6,6 mm vs 7,6 mm.
Yaaay im your 12.000th subscriber :)
This is a fantastic review!
Quick question:
How good is the palm protection? Because I would write with my palm touching the screen. Does it work well?
Great Video.Mine is on order.
whts the point of buying this great tab without enjoying the S Pen function ,you are the best great review thanks a million
I am very happy with mine.

Grt sharing.. Thank you for taking the time to do this. It's v helpful. Will most definitely be subscribing. Cheers
Thanks for the detailed review. I'm looking for the next edition of Galaxy tablet. Not sure when that will be available.
The note pro is out.
Rebecca Rodriguez Thanks.
What about note 10.1 (2015 edition) ?
Should i buy the 2014 version or wait ?
asaadbokhari i think you should always wait for the new addition of a product! I wanted a galaxy 5 but wait 5 months for the 6 and the 6 sucked and so i ended up getting the note 4 and cant be happier
Rebecca Rodriguez I've already bought it :)
Totally worth it
Amazing tablet but only if it was lighter and thinner
Great! Can I use the S Pen with that accuracy and sensitibity in the Samsung Galaxy Tab A with no S Pen version? Thanks
I don't know you have been doing a good job for long time, i know you in 2021 .
Will the new features for the s pen be available for the old note 10.1 in an update
Loooool I'm watching a review about the Samsung galaxy 2014 edition on my Samsung galaxy note 2014 edition. Snap! XD
Great review, as always. This tablet looks amazing and I've now decided to buy one. But I have some thoughts about the processor, which one is the better? Why do you say $550? Its about $350 now. Is that because the note pro came out? Like i bought the 8.0 at $399 and now its $209 do they go down because new products come out? Ps great video
Where did you get yours?
1:15 - I'm sold!
hey.! nice review by the way. one thing, you know when you write on a regular notebook your hand rests on the notebook. when you take the pen out can you still use your hand or fingers on the tablet.? or is the a button that says s pen only.?
this is what i would like to know. I do alot of drawings and i wanted a tablet for quick drawings. But i wanted to know if when using the pen, when you are drawing and your hand is touching the screen does the screen detect your hand or just the pen??
edit. rewatched 18:27 answered my question
TERMINATOR-SSD thank you.! ^_^
Watching this on samsung note 10.1 2014 right now
Excellent Review!
Looking forward to hearing more from those who have the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
a much needed help thanks
Is the writing capability of the s-pen a significant difference.? Or does it lag once in a while like the first generation.?
Hi i have a question, im planning to buy the Note 10.1 however this one just came out and i don't know how much better is this one from the last one, i know the air command is not on the previous note 10.1, however what about those apps and multitasking? is it worth going for this one? cuz to be honest it is way more affordable for me the previous note, i'd buy this one only if it's waaaaaay better than the last one, please if any1 has it tell me what u think thanks!
Can you open an app you have downloaded for example a dictionary and Polaris at the same time?
Yes you can. Im using ColorDic and Polaris together. As you download more apps you would see that many developers gave support to this feature
Ok, thanks Gareth, if you know any other that i can add please tell me.
Gareth Ferguson is it possible to drag and drop files say picture or videos in file manager with multi window and s-pen
Mahesh Murali the native file manager gives you the ability to drag and drop between the native picture, video, email, browser etc app. However I use ES Explore instead to manage my file system because of its vast assortment of features
You helped me a lot!! thanks very much
When I go into S Note the screen brightness goes full blast.
Thinking about buying the note 8 for 165 (refurbished). Is that a good deal? Did you do a review of the 8 (looked but did not find one?)
Great taught me heaps Thanks
Very nice video only thing annoying that you did not click on do not show the message box everything you one s pen window
i want this for christmas
Good video man...
I have heard of Math formula on Snote, how do i access it on samsung note 10.1 2014 edition?
select the text using the lasso and you can convert it there
Great vid! Its such shame that they got rid of the front facing speakers. I bought both the old one and new version of this. Just thinking about which one I should return. Any advice? Im not a big gamer or what you will call a power user, just browse, stream media and email. Have a note 3 as well.
The battery went from 46% to 45% in just 3 mins, and you didn't do anything. That means, 1 hour 20 %. That's not normal
Great review
Thanks man
Great video thank you
