If the defense is improved and Lincoln Riley finally realizes that it's not against the rules to run the ball. I'm not saying they should give up on the passing game just that running the ball a little bit can be productive and keep defenses on their toes while keeping ours off the field. A 10+ win season and a playoff birth is a realistic goal.

MM is a legitimate Heisman candidate. If SC goes 3-0, he will be a favorite for the trophy.
Marc, you're missing it. Its not the first 6 games that counts...its the last 6 games. If USC goes 3-3 in the first half and then 6-0 in the second half, the future bodes well....

The critics have us losing LSU, Mich, Penn & ND, with a toss up at Washington. I believe LSU and Penn & Wash are wins. Mich will be trouble in the big house and ND will have plenty of fans at the coliseum. im going with 10-2 and a playoff berth.

Forcing players to go to multiple meet and greet events is apart of USC’s elitist ways. Players can get the bag at other places where they have 1 meet and greet before the season and get upfront money.

3-0 would be amazing, but I think 2-1 is more likely. But they must go 10-2 to make the playoffs. They are going to have to beat out one of these teams. (Ohio St, Michigan, Penn St, Oregon.).It's a make or break year for Riley and unfortunately Finebaum might be right about Riley being gone after this year if they don't produce.It's time to win with NO excuses anymore! If they win, then Riley Pettijohn, Noah Michale, Justin Terry, etc will come. It's that simple...

Great staffs can turn some 4*s into 5*s. A NIL reality under new leadership is the answer. Great staffs will leave if NIL is not on the same page with their recruiting ability.
I dont think it is fair to set unrealistic expectations. I'm just hoping CLR has watched Swamp Kings and picked up some tips from Urban.
How is asking a question that starts with "What If... setting up expectations? You'll notice I hate the word expectation and rarely use it.
What I did was paint a picture and why it's not impossible or some pipe dream for USC to go 3-0 or 2-1 out of the gate.
Despite some challenges, the rating system works. There are some misses for sure, but by and large the higher ranked guys tend to go on to the NFL.

USC goes to the playoffs and some of those misses will want to come into our "porthole". LOL! It's not all about NIL money, its about exposure and getting drafted. Playoff players get more air time, look at all those wolverines and huskies that got picked in the draft.

Pretty sure SC has a top defensive staff, but it’s still on Riley practices physical practices, and development are going to determine the season
USC has the genuine structural coaching both on offense and defense, they have enough talent to suceed, their depth is not there but , is a 10-2 is a reasonable expectation....reasonable...not optimistic, reasonable, last year was horrible yet a break here or there and 9 to 10 wins....riley really messed up retaining grinch....I'm telling you he is going scorched earth....

Those clowns 🤡 have had him decommiting all summer and flipping to Auburn , Colorado, Indiana and a few other universities. The youngman went on their channel and said clearly with no hesitation said that he was an USC and Riley commit. Once that interview was completed the host was visibly disappointed and he made closing statements that pretty much ignored what JuJu said. Staying with USC cost him that OFF3 worthless star.

odds of 3-0 are less than 30% Marc. I hope to be wrong obviously but I don't think the coaches have a magic wand and it's gonna take a year of really hard work with the new crew. Next year we better go 10-2 or better or we will have wasted a lot of money. This year they may be right that we go 8-4, I expect 9-3. CFP odds this year are under 15% but next year had better be well over 65% Some of us aren't greedy - we just want to be realistic do the hard work and get rewarded for it. I don't think CLR is Pete Carroll or close to it. So probably no chance the THREE PETE. Love your Podcast Marc, but this is more non- sensical sunshine pumping. USC will be lucky to be 2-1 after the first three games.We still have a lot of question marks, but you make it sound like we are just going to roll over everyone, which BTW, is exactly what you said last year.
