How old is the recording? I have seen several videos of this sheikh and his voice is different. His voice is lower toned and I am not sure that it is the same person (unless this video is of an older date at his voice has droped).
@@redblue8895 okay that might be the explanation. Men's voices tend to drop with age. But interestingly or unfortunately nothing has changed in regards to women since that recording..
@@aisham.6678 Its according to each womens discretion to take his words or not and he is not saying to women to take off there scarfs, he is only giving his part of explanation like many scholars did. @@tisko7188 yea sure.. I have no problem with the recording or his ijtihad.. i have a problem with how some interpretations or explanations (mostly by the classical mufasireen) are based on their own cultral understanding sometimes with no bases in quranic sources.. and then it is served to us as islamic knowledge per say or even a cemented ruling. In fact the idea of only asking free muslim women to wear the jilbab is not a quranic statement it is a distinction made by the scholars, which I believe to be problematic First, because Allah (as far as I know) does not make this distinction (again what about MUSLIM slave girls?). Secondly, if muslim slaves are not to wear the jilbab (or even the kimar now while we are at it) how did they protect themselves from harrasememt?...or did Allah not care about their protection..? You see the problem?
@@aisham.6678 The problem is you cant understand the social context, at that time it was common for slave girls to get harrased, these girls were sold and bought, so at that time it was no problem because they were low classed girls, slave girls. And we dont have any extra historical evidence. As per the evidence we have we can reach this conclusion. Some classical scholars claimed that the purpose of the revelation was to distinguish between free women and slave girls by instructing free women to cover with their jilbāb because slave girls did not wear a jilbāb. Other sources report that the purpose was precisely the opposite: Muslim women would cover with the jilbāb so that scoundrels could not tell the difference between a slave and a free woman, and so they would be unable to harass either. It is clear by the very language of the verse the purpose of this injunction is to protect women from harm. ALSO PLEASE READ THE BOOKS SPEAKING IN GODS NAME AND REASONING WITH GOD.

This video is difficult to follow due to the poor sound quality, so it is worth turning on the Closed Captions to assist with comprehension.
