    She made the world go round because she is different, everybody keeps commenting about her and giving their opinions...don t you think that she is like Lady Gaga in opera? controverse... unicity...new things brought to a world fool of routine and boredom... i do believe that she is a genious.

    Excellente ' parodie ' très respectueuse du texte...les 3 couplets. une des rares avec le style si elle veut, beaucoup de second degré et énormément de voix !!!

    I did not realize how badly Sarah Brightman did with this song until I had to learn it. SHE CHEATS! But she's famous enough to get away with it. While this singer also changes the song, she does not change it to make it easier. She changes it so that it is more difficult, and for that I respect her. Because this song is difficult enough as it is. She is amazing.

    Unconventional, to be sure, but the lady is a true coloratura with an impressive range and technique Her performances are invariably entertaining and always worth viewing. Take her for what is is and not what she isn't. FIVE STARS!

    good lord^^ Sarah Brightman a good singer? just because she was married to Lloyd Webber doesn't make her good^^ and I agree with previous post about her killing classical songs... no seriously, Particia Petitbon is my understanding of a great soprano, being a trained singer myself, I know how important good acting is in opera, and that's exactly what she is doing. she's bringing fresh wind into the opera business which is absolutely great !

    Finishing, because I will not answer to this post anymore or to you unless you change your attitude.
    When I sayed "Don't be so judgmental" I meant "Don't be so serius" because this video is supose to be funny. And what tells you that I was rude? I don't think I was. And if I was well I don't know what you were with the "Halloween post".

    Some of her "eh" vowels are a bit too bright. I also get the feeling that she doesn't always know what she is singing - like when she is saying "Do I have a dainty figure?" The expressions are fun, but don't always go with the text.

      Sara Tiemogo She is actually a native French speaker so she knows but she’s a little extra with the acting.

    Great idea! I only disliked "the tarantula scene", because it has nothing to do with the aria!! In addiction, "les filles de cadix" are the best!! hahahahahahahaha I loved the idea!!

      But the lyrics at that part suggests fear.
      So what's more fearful than a tarantula? 😅

    she`s a good singer but this weird:P The text has nothing to do with the setting:P However it`s original.

    I didn't say that you couldn't post or what you could post, Jesus, are you paranoied or something? I was just saying that you made fun of the video and maybe you should respect Patricia Petibon's form of art and how she has fun on stage.

    It's pretty pathetic not to prefer better sopranos like Rita Streich over this bag of tricks.

  • @creidhe
    @creidhe 16 лет назад

    And I honestly didn't see how can you compare Sarah Brightman (which is foremost a pop singer because her bel canto tecnic is not that great) with someone who study and PERFORMED Opera for years (look it up, you'll see that Sarah Brightman only performed in musicals, and The Phantom of the Opera is hardly an opera at all).
    A gente de Portugal não vive assim não, por isso não começes a falar mal quando nem sabes como somos.

    Quelle honte d'être français quand je vois une telle interprétation. Une artiste doit transmettre l'esprit d'une œuvre. Mais là le canal de transmission a complètement bugué.

    • @loubecarut2192
      @loubecarut2192 8 лет назад +1

      Vouais, pas facile d'être français quand on voit le génie de Patricia Petibon, son métier, son travail, son répertoire et son respect des œuvres, et sa défense du répertoire français, et de l'autre côté le franchouillard à la baguette, lui jeter la pierre....faut-il manquer de culture, de curiosité, d'humour!
      I can't get no....il ne lui reste que ça...et sa baguette

    • @lioneloddo

      Lou Becarut
      Eh crétin, t'as lu Kant et "La critique de la faculté de juger" ? Alors s'il te plait ne vient pas te la jouer plus cultivé que moi. L'antinomie du goût, ça te dit quelque chose ? "Du goût on ne discute pas et du goût on ne se dispute pas". Le dépassement de cette antinomie est à la fois dans la subjectivité et dans l'universalité. Désolé mais ta petite chanteuse ne fait pas l'unanimité.
      Quand au génie, la encore, tu ne sembles pas en connaitre la définition. Il faudrait qu'elle serve de mesure ou de règle d'appréciation pour les autres.

      La force de ton argumentation, la qualité de tes connaissances, la finesse de ton propos n'inspirent que respect et admiration.
      Quand à Petibon, elle ne chante pas pour les cons.

  • @zamyrabyrd

    It's pretty pathetic to cover up lack of vocal delicacy with silly gimmicks.

  • @fourstrings48
    @fourstrings48 10 лет назад +1

    Oui, d'accord, c'est amusant à sa façon...mais dans cette chanson, je trouve Patricia Petitbon excessivement cabotine (sans vouloir pour autant nier qu'elle chante très bien). Et il y a en outre les instruments 'en plus', qui ne sont pas envisagés par le compositeur: passe encore pour les castagnettes, mais le violoncelle alourdit tout.... Bref, pour se rendre bien compte du charme, de la délicatesse, de la vraie musicalité de ce morceau, il vaut mieux (à mon avis) écouter la version de Cecilia Bartoli.

  • @creidhe
    @creidhe 16 лет назад

    I'm a Sarah Brightman fan, but she hardly as the best version. Her classical singing isn't that great when compared to grand divas like Dessay, Sills... even netrebko. And Patricia has a great tecnic to sing this.
    Anyway, it was suposed to be funny. Don't be so judgmental.
