She made the world go round because she is different, everybody keeps commenting about her and giving their opinions...don t you think that she is like Lady Gaga in opera? controverse... unicity...new things brought to a world fool of routine and boredom... i do believe that she is a genious.
I did not realize how badly Sarah Brightman did with this song until I had to learn it. SHE CHEATS! But she's famous enough to get away with it. While this singer also changes the song, she does not change it to make it easier. She changes it so that it is more difficult, and for that I respect her. Because this song is difficult enough as it is. She is amazing.
Unconventional, to be sure, but the lady is a true coloratura with an impressive range and technique Her performances are invariably entertaining and always worth viewing. Take her for what is is and not what she isn't. FIVE STARS!
good lord^^ Sarah Brightman a good singer? just because she was married to Lloyd Webber doesn't make her good^^ and I agree with previous post about her killing classical songs... no seriously, Particia Petitbon is my understanding of a great soprano, being a trained singer myself, I know how important good acting is in opera, and that's exactly what she is doing. she's bringing fresh wind into the opera business which is absolutely great !
Finishing, because I will not answer to this post anymore or to you unless you change your attitude. When I sayed "Don't be so judgmental" I meant "Don't be so serius" because this video is supose to be funny. And what tells you that I was rude? I don't think I was. And if I was well I don't know what you were with the "Halloween post".
Some of her "eh" vowels are a bit too bright. I also get the feeling that she doesn't always know what she is singing - like when she is saying "Do I have a dainty figure?" The expressions are fun, but don't always go with the text.
Great idea! I only disliked "the tarantula scene", because it has nothing to do with the aria!! In addiction, "les filles de cadix" are the best!! hahahahahahahaha I loved the idea!!
I didn't say that you couldn't post or what you could post, Jesus, are you paranoied or something? I was just saying that you made fun of the video and maybe you should respect Patricia Petibon's form of art and how she has fun on stage.
And I honestly didn't see how can you compare Sarah Brightman (which is foremost a pop singer because her bel canto tecnic is not that great) with someone who study and PERFORMED Opera for years (look it up, you'll see that Sarah Brightman only performed in musicals, and The Phantom of the Opera is hardly an opera at all).
I'm a Sarah Brightman fan, but she hardly as the best version. Her classical singing isn't that great when compared to grand divas like Dessay, Sills... even netrebko. And Patricia has a great tecnic to sing this. Anyway, it was suposed to be funny. Don't be so judgmental.
Song, singer and mise-en-scene are all awesome. Petibon is beyond the limits!
She made the world go round because she is different, everybody keeps commenting about her and giving their opinions...don t you think that she is like Lady Gaga in opera? controverse... unicity...new things brought to a world fool of routine and boredom... i do believe that she is a genious.

Sara Tiemogo She is actually a native French speaker so she knows but she’s a little extra with the acting.
poor spider

But the lyrics at that part suggests fear.
So what's more fearful than a tarantula? 😅
she`s a good singer but this weird:P The text has nothing to do with the setting:P However it`s original.

It's pretty pathetic not to prefer better sopranos like Rita Streich over this bag of tricks.
Me from a dictarship? What tells you that I was born here?

It's pretty pathetic to cover up lack of vocal delicacy with silly gimmicks.
