“You want to put cheese? Well, you’re not meant to put cheese. But you want to put cheese? Go for it, why not?” Vincenzo, you better hope that Gordon Ramsay didn’t hear that. If he did, then get ready to react to his 12 cheese Pappa Al Pomodoro
This is one of the many reasons why I find Vincenzo's videos so therapeutic. He shows us how to make authentic Italian dishes, but gives us the freedom to enjoy those dishes however we like ❤

@@vincenzosplate yes!! And now I know why my favorite local Italian place has the best tomato soup; they were making Pappa all this time ❤️. I’ll be making this at least once I month. Thank you so much for your channel. My husband is Italian and I appreciate the culture so much 😍
Your food looks delicious chef Vincenzo 😋😍 it truly puts my own food to shame lol x) but I'm learning a lot from you as well as Uncle Roger 😊 Have an amazing day Chef Vincenzo :)
@@vincenzosplate of course 😍 I'd love to try all of your recipes 😊 it would be cool to see if you could make a dish that Pavarotti or another famous Italian person would enjoy 😊
Ohhh This looks fantastic! My Pop (American - Romanian Gypsy) makes a dish similar he calls Stewed Tomatoes. His only differences are that he doesn't mash it all at the end, he prefers the chunks of tomato and bread and more sauce, then adds a little bit of a particular type of gravy flour to thicken the sauce a bit, and a touch of sugar just because tomatoes are too acidic for him and will give him heart burn if he doesn't cut the acid. Is it authentic Italian? No but he's not Italian and not claiming it is, but I did see the similarities and would absolutely love to try this to compare.
I do hope you did give it a try, I'd like to know how it went. Yes food still depends on how we like it, I like that idea not to mash it at the end and keep the chunks, this is will more texture when eaten. Will definitely try this out!
Made this twice now when I was in a pinch and needed something easy and cheap to cook. Add some leftover sausage or mushrooms if you need the meat but it's the best bread porridge I've had
That looks delicious, and a recipe I hadn't heard of yet. Your remark on serving this as a soup did make me curious, where/what is the distinction between this dish and gazpacho?
-Total Americanization- Meatball Parm in a Bowl. Bake with meatball and cheese. Repeat with Chicken Parm, Eggplant Parm. Some kind of Lasagne / Al Forno contraption… it’s a wicked Americanization but I think it could be an appropriate riff off of the original 🤔

Adam Ragusea once did a video on the difficulty of showing two systems of measurement. The trouble when you start rounding, is that some things get rounded up, others down, and others not at all. For many recipes that might not matter, for others these small differences might add up. So, he gives the recipe in one system (American, unfortunately) and gives the exact number in the other system. It might be a bit awkward, but people watching can round the numbers themselves.
it vegetarian since the bread has egg in it and veggies don't eat bread so to eggs being used in making the bread. It dose look good and I agree it's budget friendly when money is tight.
Simplicity is the key in order to create a sensational rich dish like this one. Do you agree?
