I am so happy to see someone else love The Catcher in the Rye!! I love that book so much, and it was a stab in the heart finding out other people didn't like it. I hold Holden very dear to my heart. Maybe because I read it when I was 16 (his age in the book). I found it sad watching fully grown adults read this book and then judge a mentally unwell 16 year old with distant parents and no close friends. His internal monologue is so entertaining, and yet at times kind of sad. He tells the reader *multiple* times that they really would've liked Allie if we had gotten the chance to meet him, and it broke my heart a little more each time he'd say it.

this comment!!! you’ve summarised what i loved about holden’s character so well. it’s such a shame that people don’t often read him with the nuance that salinger wrote him with bc they’re missing out on a fantastic character

I've heard other reviewers mention Juno Loves Legs and it's been on my list. Your review just prompted my purchase. Can't wait to read it. Great video!

I just found your channel. I saw books I loved in the middle tier and wasn’t sure but then I saw Franny and Zooey (my favorite book) and then the top tier with my favorite authors (I am a huge fan of Salinger, Strout and Smith) 😊😊😊😊 so of course I subscribed. I have Intermezzo in my TBR. I saw Juno loves legs at my bookstore a few times but I had never seen a review, but now I have 😊
